I received an invite to my cousins wedding yesterday. For a variety of reasons I'm not going to be able to attend the wedding, but want to send a gift. I hunted around a bit and found them registered at Target, but there are only a dozen or so items on the registry.

I checked Macy's, Penney's, and BB&B and they aren't there. Somehow I'm sure that if I was invited there will likely be 200+ other iinvited guests, and I imagine they are registered someplace else as well. They are young and just starting, so I'd think they need just about everything.

Help! Where else might they be registered? They are from new England if that helps. TIA!

Go to theknot.com. It will search like 200 registries for you. It may not work, but it is worth a try.

Linens N' Things, Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma

Thanks, but I struck out with all of them. Weird, you'd think that they'd be registered someplace other than Target.

Crate and Barrel? Is there a family member that you can ask? Maybe they're not registered on purpose maybe they are just hoping for cash.

Wow--that was cool! But it gave me back about 200 couples, none of which were the right one.

I'll keep looking, thanks!

That was my thought too... I heard that cash is more expected in the NE region than here. Also try Kohl's.

If that's the case it will probably backfire on them. That side of the family doesn't "do" cash and they're going to get a bunch of "stuff," most of which they'll probably never use. Crystal decanters, silver candleabra, etc.

You guys have had great ideas, but so far it's only Target.

I'll try to get in touch with his mom, I'm not even sure I've got her number. I'm actually rather surprised I was even invited, I've been somewhat estranged from this uncle (the groom's father) for about 13 years, and have seen this cousin (the groom) maybe a dozen times in his entire life.

Does JC Penny do registries? Also it may help to google the malls near them to see if any chains pop up that might help.

i know everyone around here HATES wal-mart, but did you try there?

Yup, Penney's has registries, that was one of the first ones I tried. I actually have no idea where they are living. Last I knew I thought this cousin was out in San Francisco, so I'm not sure if they are getting married "back home" or living there. Or if this is the right cousin. Like I said, we're not close. :rotfl:

Try the registry search on www.theweddingchannel.com I believe it searches different stores than theknot.com.

Thanks, nothing there either. :confused3

I'm really starting to think that they've only registered at Target. About 1/3 of the items they've registered for are out of stock on top of it. :sad2:
