Wedding experts help!! Dress dilemma!

I would plan to go barefoot in a mermaid gown!

But, I would MAKE SURE you have sparkly flip-flops in case the sand is hot. :beach:

At least I've learned what a mermaid dress is. Google is my friend.

Hahaha pretty much just what it sounds like it would be huh? A "fit and flare" is similar just usually more fitted, if you care, otherwise that is TMI! :)

I too think the lighter fabric for a beach wedding looks better. I wouldn't get a really dropped waist dress too tight around knees. They r beautiful but hard to walk gracefully in esp on beach. Barefoot all the way!!:wave2:

Can you have a wedding on the beach at WDW? I know at Poly they have a spot near the beach, but isn't on the beach that is used for small weddings. Where else?

Yep, poly beach is a good spot for small weddings also swan/dolphin beach is a beautiful spot where you're able to have a larger wedding (although I want it as small as possible). Those are the only ones I know of and the only ones advertised.

And much younger than I originally thought. He looks like he is prematurely gray. He is VERY good looking though!

As a photographer I will just say Photoshop is a great thing! Hahaha it is obvious he and his bride have been highly edited. Too bad they didn't edit out his sandals though! Haha :)

I think you'll be able to wear shoes in either location (but definitely Poly), because you won't actually be on the sand, but more firm ground.

No, it's on the sand at Luna Beach (Poly).

You might be thinking of Poly's other location used for escape weddings, Sunset Pointe which is not on the beach as far as I've seen. It looks like a paved walkway with grassy seating on either side.

Correct, I didn't know about a spot called Luna Beach, so was thinking Sunset Point.

Beach weddings can be lovely...or... My BF had a beach wedding that we really enjoyed. Laid back, casual, perfect for them. It was held at a hotel in Hawaii and the staff did a great job of keeping the area clear of others so their pictures were lovely.

Now for the "or" experience... another friend had her wedding in Mexico on a beach. The hotel didn't keep other guests clear and she has lovely photos of the typical "hairy guy in a speedo that ought not be wearing a speedo" in many of her pictures. That was the least of her worries though...she wore a "floaty" type of gown that a gust of wind grabbed and let's just say all the guests saw how lovely her garter and undergarments were in the middle of the ceremony. We laugh about it now...particularly since she and the groom divorced after 9 months. We all say it must of been the curse of the speedo!

Whatever you do, enjoy the day with your groom, family and friends.
