On Monday 11/28 we were riding Tot for the 3rd time that day. After we got in the elevator everything was fine until we got to the part where it slowly moves forward just before the drop sequence.
Instead of moving forward, it stopped at the top in complete darkness but the soundtrack continued. We didn't move for about 2-3 minutes when an announcement came on and told us there were some technical difficulties. There were some young children on the ride who started to really get upset.
After what seemed like forever, the lights came on and a maintenance worker and a CM brought a little stepladder over to us so we could get off of the ride. We were able to see the part of the ride with the hanging doors and windows, etc with the lights on. Looks really cheesy with the lights on! One interesting thing is that the floor is mirrored around the track in that section.
Anyway, we were told that the ride stopped because someone was fooling around with the seatbelts. I don't know about that, because the CM was sweating bullets and looked very concerned!
We took a regular elevator back to the loading area and got on the next ride. Again we had to get off because we were told that the seatbelts in the first row were not locking (this was a different elevator than the first). My sister saw this as a sign from God not to go the ride again, but we climbed into a 3rd elevator anyway and had a great ride.
When we returned on Thursday the posted wait time was 10 minutes but it ended up being close to 40. They were only using 2 of the 4 elevators that day also due to technical difficulties.
