We love Donald Duck, oh yes we do! - Link to the PTR - COMPLETE

Wow... lots of great updates. Henry is just too cute. Thanks for all the pictures, fun to look at places I have not seen (SSR) and place I have stayed (POFQ). BTW POFQ and Riverside dont always share buses... especially at MK.

That Mickey hat is cute... I want to get our little guy a cute hat from WDW this summer.

I'm loving all the resort pictures! Way to take the time to just wander... a perk of having DVC I suppose - you know you'll always be back!

Your EoS pictures are making me drool all over the keyboard. Those sandwiches are soooooooooooo good. In fact, out of the blue about 2-3 months after our trip, Junior was wondering when he could go back and have one of their Italian sandwiches (he nibbled a bit off of DH's). And this is a big deal - Junior doesn't like most meat so for him to request a meat sandwich is HUGE! It's on our must-do list for August!

I see a pattern forming with Henry and ducks! Is he Donald's #1 fan?

Oh, and your talk of beignets is making me drool too... I just spent the last week in New Orleans for a work conference. I consumed my life-time consumption of powdered sugar during that time on top of beignets!! It was a highlight of my trip, walking to Cafe Du Monde with friends in the morning to feast on those little buggers! My waist line is thankful I'm back home!

EOS was a zoo for us, as well.

Belle has the monkey leash. Did I already tell you that?

The bus route at Port Orleans is awful. It's like that at Carribean Beach, too.

I can't believe how cold it was when you guys were there. We were there just a few weeks before and could have worn shorts and a tank top almost all week.

Hi I just found your TR and have read it and am all caught up. Henry is just adorable. I can't wait to read more:goodvibes

What a nice way to spend an afternoon and not be in the hustle and bustle of the parks....and fun to explore some new resorts, too! Fun!! It's always nice when the baby naps at lunchtime!!:thumbsup2 You can actually each your lunch!! YUM! And boy did those sandwiches look fantastic!! Love the monkey leash...we thought about getting one for our little one for our last trip, but DH was against it for some reason, I guess he was hung up with the whole "leash" bit but I think they are so smart!!!!! We opted for the baby backpack (like you have, too!) and that worked out just fine but I still think our baby would have loved his own "backpack"!! ;)

This quiet pool at SSR looks great and it even has a hot tub! Looks liek you had fun exploring. Oh and these lamps are just gorgeous!!

We were faced with the same decision: WPE or EoS and ended up at WPE :goodvibes I still have to try EoS!!

I love the pictures of Henry so mesmerized by his light up Mickey! I thought I had seen every one of those things, but I don't ever remember seeing that one - very cool!

Your nighttime pictures of MK are SPECTACULAR! I love the one of the carousel with the castle all lit up behind it, and the one of the beautiful light fixture, and the train station ones too - well, all of them! :lmao:

That particular light up toy had to be a new one - so many CMs commented on how cool it was and I'm sure they see everything over and over.

Thank you on the picture comments! :goodvibes I really like the pic with the carousel and the castle too.

Great updates!! And fantastic pics, Brook! Can I ask what kind of camera you use? It really takes some beautiful pictures (or maybe it's you that is the talented one and I'm giving your silly camera all the credit?:confused3 )!! Love the night time shots at MK and the shots around SSR are amazing!!!:thumbsup2

Does Henry having any lactose issues? Or is he usually fine with them at home? just a thought.....hope it didn't last your whole vacation?:confused3

Btw, loved the "family" pic of you guys in the elevator!! Too funny!! And cute!:rotfl:

Thank you! We have a Canon XSI, it's a very nice camera (digital SLR), and while Joe and I both have a love of photography and a couple basic courses under our belts, the camera does have a LOT to do with it.

Henry did not have any lactose issues - that is what was so strange about it all to me - it was ONLY when we gave him milk products. He is a HUGE dairy boy too, milk, cheese and yogurt are his faves. It was really stressing to me, I didn't include this, but I tried to reach my Peditrican that day (without success) to talk to her - but more details on all that coming up!

We like to take silly family pics like that, in the reflection of things - we are total dorks! :goodvibes

Yay! I'm glad you have down time at work so you can keep posting! :cool1:
The resort photos looks so quiet and peaceful, no one around! I have to say it is still strange to see coats and hats at Disney! We have only been there in warm/hot weather but I'll take it! Anything to be at Disney, right?! :)

Work is so strangely quiet the past few days. I keep wondering if it's the calm before the storm!

SSR is very quiet and peaceful - very relaxing. In a way I loved that about it. Yes, anything to be at Disney! We said fairly often we'd rather be wearing hats and mittens in Disney World, rather than just be stuck at home!

I'm loving your pictures :) And I know spending that $15 was a good idea, especially if it makes Henry happy ;)

Thank you! Joe and I are both shutter happy. :goodvibes That $15 was money well, well spent!

I hope you don't mind new readers! I just read each update in one sitting. Your son is adorable! :) And I know it was cold. I'm from MN and if we say it's cold, it's cold! We know our winter weather. ;)

Those EoS sandwiches look devine. I would have ordered the same as you. Yum!

Welcome! New readers are always welcome! Thanks for joining along in the fun.
Oh, yes, you understand what cold truly is! :rotfl2: The week before we went was that wicked cold snap, -29! Ick! It was cold in Disney, but still above zero.

EoS was super yummy!

That Mickey hat is cute... I want to get our little guy a cute hat from WDW this summer.

Ah, that is good to hear about the buses. I suppose for MK there would be NO way people at the last stop would ever get on! Makes sense.

Did you like POFQ? I thought it was really beautiful from the bit we did see!

There are LOTS of cute little kid Mickey hats - one that I really, really, really wanted to get Henry is coming up in a few updates. I tried to get him to leave it on so many times throughout our trip, but it was a no go. I guess I should be thankful, he saved us money!

You ate at Cafe Du Monde!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so so so very jealous! Oh gosh, did you sit outside too? I saw it on TV once (Food Network) and just thought how lovely it all seemed, beignets, some coffee - ah!!

Yes, it really was nice to wander around and resort hop! Joe espeically loved it.

That is really great about Junior wanting the meat sandwich! I can totally understand why, drool city man. That place really was incredible. I read that there is a plan to open this place as a chain all around the U.S. I think Minnesota should be their next choice!

And yep, I do believe, after this trip, Henry is Donald's #1 fan!

Great photos of SSR Brook!! Especially the Congress Park area!
Love the playground pics with Henry!!!

So maybe it's always that nutty in there - that stinks, but I'll still brave the crowds for more of it's goodness!

I don't remember/recall if you mentioned Belle having the monkey leash too - does she like it? Henry tolerates it for a while, he still hasn't really figured out he's supposed to walk close to us and just darts off, then runs out of length on the "tail" and stops and starts to get irritated because he can't move any further. :rotfl:

I couldn't believe how cold it was either! But, it does improve...:goodvibes

Hi I just found your TR and have read it and am all caught up. Henry is just adorable. I can't wait to read more:goodvibes

Yes, it's is a HUGE bonus when the baby is either sleeping at lunch or dinner. It's nice to be able to talk with DH and eat while it's still warm!

I think Henry was still a bit young for the leash, when we tired it at home, he hated it so much - we had never seen him so upset about something! But, at Disney he did tolerate it. He's a fairly new walker (about 2 months he's been walking), so he's allllllll about darting here and there. Joe felt a bit strange about the leash at first, but then saw how handy it was!

This quiet pool at SSR looks great and it even has a hot tub! Looks liek you had fun exploring. Oh and these lamps are just gorgeous!!

We were faced with the same decision: WPE or EoS and ended up at WPE :goodvibes I still have to try EoS!!

The quiet pool and hot tub did look really nice, I never ended up using them, but, later in the week when it was warmer, it was always being used. Kids really liked the frogs that shot water.

The lamps in AP were really incredible. There were large funky paintings on the walls too - almost on the ceiling - not sure if I grabbed a pic of that...it was a really cool area.

WPE is so stinkin' good too!

Great photos of SSR Brook!! Especially the Congress Park area!
Love the playground pics with Henry!!!

Thanks! Those pics of him playing are some of my favorite from the whole trip. It was really fun because he started to recognize playgrounds and understand that a slide=fun. We had fun watching him play and sharing in that time with him!

Great thing abt kids til their 3...ALL parks are free! lol

What great memories:)

Great updates - and I'm loving all your pictures! :cool1: Poor Henry and throwing up - I hope he's all done this trip! :sad2:

I'm enjoying your report. Thanks for sharing your vacation with all of us.

I do have a question (which I'm sure I should know the answer too), What is TiW? You mentioned a 20% discount, so is it a discount card or something?

Great updates Brook!! You've been very busy working on this TR!

I'm glad you found something to make Henry happy! That's definitely worth $15! We have that same light spin! We got it on our trip last March. I not sure if it came from M. Mouse but there is a good chance it did. We stayed at GF and kept getting sucked in there.

Can't wait to read more!

Oh my goodness, Brook, you were an updating machine today! I will try to remember all my thoughts while I was reading your wonderful updates!

Love Henry being hypnotized by the swirling lights!!!

Beautiful pictures of Main Street at night!

Enjoyed your walk around the resorts -- POFQ is a very dear favorite of ours!

Henry is too cute in his little winter hat!

Wow! Lots of lovely updates.

I love the phrase light fixture aficionado. I like that much better than light fixture obsessed. :rotfl2: You took a lot of great light fixture pictures. I noticed all of them!!

I love your low key, no rush attitude!! Very nice that you got to go exploring. :thumbsup2

The next chapter title is making me a little nervous....

Great updates, love to read about your relaxing and enjoying SSR and checking out POFQ.

I am so laughing about Henry and the spinning toy. We have a spinning toy Fantasmic Mickey that is now 7 years old :rotfl2: We bought this for DS, now 13, when he had just turned 5. Each year DS insisted on packing it for our annual trip. So, keep that spinning toy, batteries in stock and Henry may have many years of enjoyment!!

Boy, Henry looks cold!

Great thing abt kids til their 3...ALL parks are free! lol

What great memories:)

Exactly! For December we'll have to buy him a seat for the plane, but parks are still free!

Great updates - and I'm loving all your pictures! :cool1: Poor Henry and throwing up - I hope he's all done this trip! :sad2:

Thanks! :goodvibes I know, I was worried about him all day when we fed him-he seemed fine, but.....I just wasn't sure. :guilty:

I'm enjoying your report. Thanks for sharing your vacation with all of us.

I do have a question (which I'm sure I should know the answer too), What is TiW? You mentioned a 20% discount, so is it a discount card or something?

Thank you for reading! :) TiW is Tables in Wonderland. When you purchase an Annual Pass (or if you are a FL resident), you can purchase the TiW card, which does give you 20% off at nearly every table service and a small handful of CS.

Great updates Brook!! You've been very busy working on this TR!

Ah! So that light up toy isn't new, but maybe for some reason, it's special to the GF? Who knows! :confused3 :goodvibes I can understand why you would get sucked into M. Mouse, it was great - I loved the views out the windows too!

I actually have a couple more updates written, but am pretty tired tonight, so no more updates-maybe tomorrow!

Oh my goodness, Brook, you were an updating machine today! I will try to remember all my thoughts while I was reading your wonderful updates!

Henry is too cute in his little winter hat!

I wrote a TON yesterday and then could quick plug in the pictures and have an update - it worked out great! We'll see how often that can happen though, huh?

Thank you for all the comments/compliments! I wish we could use our DVC Points to stay at the moderates as well - we can do most of the Deluxes, but it would be nice to have a trip that doesn't cost as many points. But, I suppose they wouldn't make much money off us otherwise! Maybe we'll do a cash trip sometime and stay at POFQ, it was so pretty!

Wow! Lots of lovely updates.

The next chapter title is making me a little nervous....

Glad you liked my little phrase there. :goodvibes From your thread you now well know you are not the only one out there either!

The no rush days (or so far in the TR) were really nice - I have wanted to resort hop on all our trips and we finally really got some serious resort exploring in this time.

I am really glad to hear they last that long!! Wow! I really did not expect it to survive beyond the December trip! I really hope it does though, I can see Henry being just like your DS, bringing it on every trip, spinning it proudly before the fireworks!

Boy, Henry looks cold!

He was! His little nose was red. Inside, his trunk, was COOKIN' though and he was actually sweaty, but his face was cold. I can't remember if I wrote this, but that night we pulled out the stroller cover that is for rain to break the wind from him. It worked really great!

WOW...you were update happy yesterday and I love it!! You guys had a very relaxing and wonderful day with Henry. Don't you just love being able to take your time and just enjoy Disney and the small things it has to offer!

I haven't eaten at Earl's but after your pictures I think I just might have to sometime!!

Thanks for the great pictures of SSE Brooke - we've never really explored it. We started to on the last trip, but well, you know how that went over ;)

I LOVE the beignets at POFQ...we always used to stay there before DVC and even on our last trip I made DH take me over there for them.
