WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!

We got our first half vacation stay all booked today at AKV!
I can call to make the second half vacation stay in a few more days at BLT.
and I am just so pumped!

What an amazing feeling to "own a piece of the magic!"

It's a great feeling! I made our first DVC res last week and was sooooo excited too. :woohoo:

Be Careful!

According to some around here, booking a split stay will make Disney impliment rules regarding length of stay and also make our dues higher because housekeeping now has to clean two rooms!

Have fun though..:)

Enjoy your vacations! I did my first bookings a while ago and I used some DPs @ the Grand Californian Hotel (loved it so much I did a VGC add-on!) but my first stay in a DVC property is this coming Friday; I can't wait! Quick 3 nights in a studio @ VWL.

So what are your ressies for?

Well, we have cause to split our stay up. VWL is to be near the start of the Orlando Ironman Triathlon that my husband is participating in, and it starts at Ft. Wilderness. He wants to be as close as possible to it. We aren't staying the whole time there, b/c we have stayed at WL about 5 times in the last 4 years and my kids are quite sick of it and don't want to stay there. We are going over to BCV b/c we want to try SAB and have never stayed there. But it's my husbands birthday on the sixth day and he really wants to stay at our home resort on our first trip home, so to make his birthday a great one we are going over to BLT for a few nights. not quite sure how many yet though.

Are you really trying to tell me that this vacation is going to in some way cause DVC to alter the way in which we are allowed to use our points? :confused3:
I haven't seen anything alluding to this fact in the time I've been lurking around here before joining, and let me tell you it was a looooooonnnnnggg time.
Anybody else care to confirm Tammymacb's claim?

read the last few pages of the "Valet is gone" thread.

btw, it's not MY opinion. Just what I was told...

Ok, haven't read any of that thread about valet being gone, cause we fly and do not ever intend to have a car.

And frankly, as a new buyer, the last thing I want to do is listen to long-time members gripe about their dissatisfaction with DVC.

A lot of these threads are buzz-kill for us new buyers.

I know "it is what it is", but I'd rather bury my head in the sand since DVC and I are still on our honeymoon.

Sounds good to me! That's how I usually try to think when I read the negative posts, although I do walk the line with wanting to stay informed...

WOOO HOOOO! Congrats.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Can't wait to do the same. Our check was received at Magic Vacation Title yesterday. OOOOHHH the excitement to book our first trip is mounting.

exactly my feeling....you want to be "in the know", but at the same time it is a downer if all you read are complaints and belly-aching  And it seems like there is enough of it to keep us reading for days!! :surfweb:

Hi Jasminerk13,
Congratulations on making your first DVC reservation. Your are absolutely correct that being a DVC member is the best. Have a wonderful trip and be sure to post about the trip when you return.

My 11 month window comes up in January and I can't wait to book my first DVC stay. We specifically bought at VWL to be able to enjoy the holiday decorations:banana: Looking forward to many years of Disney magic!!

Very exciting indeed! Our first DVC was at SSR this last spring, but I am looking forward to our very first trip to our home resort, AKV, next spring. It is going to be a nice feeling knowing that I own a "piece" of the magic.

Have a great time!

Even if we are changing to a different resort?

Congrats to you! I remember making our first ressie. What a great feeling knowing that there will be plenty more vacations at DVC to come. Enjoy your stay at both resorts. :cool1:
