Id like to thank you for clicking on this wonderful PTR!!!

I'm mainly a lurker on the boards but I'm going Disney crazy so I decided to make a PTR and have hopes that someone might read it.
Ok on with the show!

The 4 Ws

That’s me! Chrystine-Chryssy for short I'm 24 and I'm the mastermind behind this wonderful trip. I live for Disney like most of us here. I've been 3 times before but this will be 2nd time staying on-site. We went last year for a quick 3 day trip and stayed at AOA-Nemo!!!!
My Disney Favorites:

Movie-Finding Nemo (of course)
Ride- TSMM and ToT
Character-Minnie Mouse and Belle





This would be my wonderful boyfriend Joe!! Hes 29 and a crazy Disney freak like me, so happy I found him. He planned our last vacation and I wasn’t allowed to know anything about it, so he let me do everything for this trip. He has been two other times, last year and then back when he was a child.

What:
Well a Disney vacation of course! Not celebrating anything on this trip but just going before we can’t afford it anymore when little children come along.

We will be there for 6 days and 7 nights

This trip was decided last july when we decided 3 days is just not enough for Disney world!!

It was either going to be in may or september. I did all the research and came across the villains party on Sept 13 and boom our disney dream was born!

We will be flying out of Manchester NH at 7:05am and will be arriving in Orlando around 10:30
Havent decided if we are going to put those wonderful yellow tags on our luggage yet. Last year they didnt send them to us in time so we just carried our luggage on. I loved having my luggage with me but to not have to go wait in baggage claim would be wonderful.

Thinking we will be arriving at POR around 12 ish, doing online check in so hopefully our room will be ready and we can go check it out!
We got 5 day tickets with park hoppers, we figured we would have a down day somewhere in the middle of the week so we down run ourselves down

I am bummed we are going to be missing the Villain's party by 2 days but we just couldn't squeeze 2 more days off of work out of the trip (we're super grateful we were able to make the extra day work to do MNSSHP!!). Looking forward to hearing all about it though from everyone who is going and can't wait to hear more about your plans!

Thanks for coming to follow along!! We were going to do MNSSHP on the 10th as well but its still up in the air! Just finished catching up on your PTR and I think that its awesome that you can run that much! I can barely do a mile without passing out

To officially kick off this pre trip report, I suppose I should tell you how this trip happened(because it almost didn’t!)

My bf and I met last march through e-harmony! (highly recommend it) and at the time I had a vacation planned for july to down to Georgia to meet up with my friend. Long story short, my work is fussy with vacation time and my asst manager took my week!!!!! So I had to cancel everything blah blah blah
So I switched to the week after, and I had mentioned to my bf that if I was going to be down south I needed to take a trip down the Disney or universal. This is when my brilliant plan of asking him to come along popped into my head. I wasn’t sure how he’d react seeing how we had only been together for a couple of months, to my surprise he was totally for it! (at that moment I knew he was the one)

So we went down at the end of july for a couple of days had the time of our lives and was sad when it was over. In September of last year DB asked if I wanted to go back sometime. Well of course I do! We sat and talked and I did most/all of the research and we wanted to do late may but my vacation time wasn’t available. So September it was. Deciding on the week was easy….cant do labor day and the week after our vacation is the NASCAR race up here and I have season tickets, so the week in between was perfect.

So that’s how we ended up with Sept 9th-15th plus cheap airfare flying out on a Monday…now I wish our resort decision was that easy but that’s for another post!

We did ME 5 years ago and it was great! Since you're not getting in too late you don't have to worry about how long your bags take as long as you have anything you might need in your carry-on.

We're also thinking about doing MNSSHP on the 10th, but it's our last night, and we leave early the next morning, so not sure if we should or not.

I think its all under Magical Express

If we had kids then it would be a no-brainer to go to the party, but we arent a fan of candy either and characters arent a big thing for me so it would just be for the shorter line rides and the special parade/fireworks

I think we will be up in the air until September most likely

ON LINE CHECK IN IS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


So where we would stay for our trip was the next big question!

We stayed at AoA last year and that was my first time staying onsite so I thought everything was the best thing ever. The transportation the KTW card just everything I felt that I was 6 years old again!

So obviously we would stay on site again but where?? We didn’t want to do AoA again because we wanted to stay somewhere new. Were we going to stay in a value, moderate or really splurge and go for a monorail resort??

Hmmm decisions…….We crossed out value because we knew that this trip would probably be the last one for a while, so I started pricing out the difference of the moderate and deluxe resorts. We both realllllllly wanted to stay at the contemporary, but when Joe saw the price of a the cheapest room we were turned off

So a moderate it was! Now which one? CBR and CSR were wayyyy to big and looked complicated to navigate. It was now between POR and POFQ. Joe could care less which one we stayed at so I picked the smaller of the resorts. POFQ was the winner!!!

But wait!
Room only discounts came out and POFQ was 5% off and POR was 20% off hmmmm which one would you choose?

So that’s how we got to POR-standard view!

While I actually have time do update ill do another one!!

I've had many people including CMs on the phone ask me why I'm not doing FD

Ill give you a short explanation: Joe and I aren’t big on food in general and weren’t planning on doing the dining plan anyways, when I found out that FD was coming out I decided to do some math and see what would be cheaper for us. It ended up being the RO which we were both fine with. I don’t like to plan my day around my meals and we only had a few places in mind that we really wanted to eat this trip.
Last trip we only had one ADR and it worked perfect for us!

So this time around I did much more planning then last time, since I was new to the whole ADR thing I didn’t realize that they opened so far out in advanced!!

When we saw that New Fantasyland had a restaurant named Be Our Guest we both looked at each other and were like “We’re eating there!”

I did more research and saw that people were having a hard time booking it at like 90 days out and thought OMG seriously!!! Here is where my title comes in. I told Joe that if we wanted to eat at BOG we would have to book it on March 13th 2013 and he just looks at me with that face and starts laughing! At this point we hadn’t even decided on which resort we are staying at!

So at 6am on Wednesday March 13th Joe gets up logs on and gets us a dinner ressie for our first night at 7:35!!! I was soooo pumped up with 180 days left

We only have 3 ADRs for this trip, We don’t eat much. Its usually breakfast at the resort, a snack in the park and then a good dinner.

Our ADRs are BOG on Sept 9th at 7:35 Chef Mickeys on Sept 12th at 9:15 am and Hollywood and Vine(with fantasmic pkg) on Sept 13th at 6:05


BOG and Chef Mickeys are new for me and all three are new for Joe. I cannot wait to try BOG I just can’t get over it!!!!!
