Yup, straight to TSMM is the way to go! We never spend more than a half day at DHS either. I really like what I like there-- there's just not a large quantity!

I agree. It's quite a small park compared to the others and plus once you've seen lights motors action and Indiana jones there is no point in seeing them again.

Plus we will be going back to HS later in the trip.

My vacation became official at work this week as well so everything is finally falling into place.

Thursday, Day 4

Today is our day off, WHAT a day off in Disney World. We figured we would need it as we are here for 6 days and we don’t want to tire ourselves out.

So this morning we will sleep in. Sleeping in at Disney is like 7:30 haha. Every other morning we will be up around 6-7 so we can eat breakfast and catch a bus.

So after sleeping in we will catch a bus to the Magic Kingdom but we wont be walking towards MK we will be taking a nice stroll to the Contemporary Resort! To eat at none other than……..

We have a 9:15 reservation.

I'm excited to eat here as well. I've heard good and bad things. I'm looking forward to making my own opinion. I'm also ok with possibly being the only couple without children eating here ! This will probably be our only character interaction during our whole trip.

After we are done eating its really up in the air. If we haven’t been to DTD yet we will head there, do some shopping, take some pictures. If we’ve already done DTD and seen what weve want to see then we will probably go back to POR and just enjoy some resort time.

During this day I would really like to go back to AoA and get some pictures of The Lion King and Little Mermaid areas. When we stayed at AoA last year only Nemo and Cars were open at the time.

Since we are eating a “late” breakfast I don’t see a huge lunch in our future for this day, maybe popcorn or a mickey head

Around 7pm or so we will head to the Boardwalk. I didn’t even know about this place until I came back from Disney last year. I'm sure we will walk around and explore the area with our ultimate goal ending at the ESPN zone.

Joes mom went this past may and said that their food was pretty good, I'm sure we wouldn’t even think about this place but its THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!!!!!! Our New England Patriots are playing the Jets. It’s the home opener and since we cant be here

Watching it in Disney World will do!

Depending on how the game is going will decide when we will leave.
Does anyone have any good advice on how to get from the Boardwalk to POR?

I'm sure it wont be a late late night as we are getting up early for our normal Disney day!

I've read that but I guess you have to use a park ticket and we aren't using them that day

If you have already been to DTD on your 'Off' day then I suggest you head over to either Winter Summerland or Fantasia Gardens mini golf. Both are very well themed and fun to play.

Other than that, the Boardwalk is an excellent idea and a lot of fun to hang around at night. To get back to POR I would suggest you walk to MGM Studios from the Boardwalk and take the bus from their back to your resort. It's about a 10-15 minute walk or so from the Boardwalk and you won't have to burn a ticket going through Epcot.

Joe could care less and I almost don't want to use them but then I'd feel like I'd be at a disadvantage if I didn't use them

Like I said in my earlier post, you can walk to DHS pretty quickly/easily and then take the bus to POR from there.

Port Orleans-Riverside was picked to test out the magic bands and fast pass plus!! Joe and I were super excited!!!!

So with all that hussle and bussle of the magic bands and the fact that we leave in 19 days! I'm stoked.

Day 5

I have to say, this is probably the day I'm looking forward to the most besides our dinner at Be Our Guest

We will start with our usual mickey waffle breakfast and head out to Animal Kingdom to take advantage of the EMH. This will be Joes first trip to AK so I'm excited to show him around!

We will head straight to the safari. I love this ride!!! Its so neat and a little corny, has Disney written all over it.

Next we will head to EE, this roller coaster is my favorite!!!!

Now after we get off EE we might to Kali depending on the weather if not, Id like to ride Dinosaur as I've never rode it before but we will see.

By then our fp+ for EE will be ready to be used!! The fact that I already know that ill be riding the rides I love is neat, but I'm not sure in the future that I would want to plan for this so far in advance….Anywho

So our fast pass for Kali is the last event in Animal Kingdom.

After we get off the ride we will head back to POR to relax and probably shower if we got soaked on the rapids.

I cant say that a drink or two might consumed at the pool bar…

After the drinks may have or may not have been consumed we will head over to Hollywood Studios

We have a dinner reservation at Hollywood and Vine at 6 pm. I love this restaurant. It’s a tradition for me.

Now after dinner I'm not really sure whats going on except the only reason why we are going this week!

VILLIANS PARTY!!! I'm looking forward to a new experience and the fact that its Friday the 13th and HS will be opened til 1 am.

Now I know that this park is going to be very crowded as its not a ticketed event but I'm ok with it!


A little update on our Thursday plans…
Joe and I were talking about it last night, we kind of wanted a relaxing night and jumping on one bus to get on another definitely wasn’t relaxing.
So we decided that we would go and explore the boardwalk earlier in the day and then head back to the resort bar and watch the game there. Probably watch the first half there and then retire to our room and watch the rest of the game before we pass out.

So, did it force you to take three FP+ for each day? Like, all or nothing? I'm sure FP+ will be live before we go back. There is one day that we plan to go to Epcot and just do WS. I can't imagine there are 3 FP+ I want to use in WS!

No not each day...only the days where i picked FP+ But it did make me choose three even if i only wanted two. Im sure by the time you go again things will be different.

If you only wanted to EPCOT WS then you just wouldnt choose FP+ for them. Say if you were park hopping from WS then you could use those 3 FP+ for another park

We are 11 days out!!!!

Ive hopefully taken my last trip to target yesterday to get the rest of the toiletries that we didint have along with allergy meds for me.

This week has been moving so slow at work....next week will probably heck of a lot worse!


Alright Update on!

Day 6 Our Last Day


This is the day that is up in the air....All i know is that we will go to RD at Magic Kingdom because we hadnt got the chance earlier in the week.

We might attempt all 4 parks in one day but I can see it only being 3 and leaving AK out.

I didnt pick out any FP+ for this day because again i dont want to tie us down to a park at a specific time!

This is how Ive always wanted my last full day at disney to be....nothing planned and we can just do what we want to do, go on the rides that we love or maybe didnt have a chance to go on before hand and just enjoy the day.

At night we will probably have a few more drinks around the world then hit Magic Kingdom for Wishes one last time....this is the point where ill start to be depressed, walking out of the kingdom and not going back the next day

This will probably be our last trip for awhile....We want to see other places Id love to take him on a cruise as hes never been, but im not sure id want a disney cruise because ive heard they are filled with children.


Our Departure day is nothing special, The flight leaves orlando at 9 am meaning DME will pick us up around 6am so we will end up eating something at the airport. We get back home at 11:45 am
