4 Night Bahamian Cruise on the Dream, 25th September 2011... Booked!!!

I know it's a long way away but I'm so excited! Check out the ticker!

:yay:

Now to get on and start organising the rest of the holiday and saving LOTS of money!

Great news Simon. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Happy planning!!!

Congratulations :thumbsup2 I'm fairly sure you will love it. Well done for finally taking the plunge and getting it booked.

Thanks Joh :goodvibes

I'm really glad we decided to do the 4 night instead of the 3 night now, think 3 nights would have gone way too quick! Looking forward to the Dream's maiden voyage and all the photos and trip reports!

Thanks Wayne, I'm sure I will have lots of questions over the next year, so be prepared! :lmao:
Ask away anything DCL. We sail on Disney Dream 21st August 2011 so any questions on the ship I can answer after that. :goodvibes

I know 3 nights is better than nothing but anyone that can do 4 it has to be better, your 1st day is taken boarding, lifeboat drill, sailaway party, unpacking etc and the last day you are off by around 9am so a 3 day cruise is really only 2 days.

That was my thinking in the end, I ditched the verandah for an ocean veiw to afford the 4 night, the day at sea will be a great chance to really explore the ship!

Wayne what cabin number are you? We have cabin 6502 which is at the front of the ship, I chose it because it looks a little bigger than the cabins at the sides, I hope it is!

Wise choice IMO.

Almost a match :thumbsup2
But we are in an inside cabin
Room #6501
Category 10A - Deluxe Inside Stateroom

We sailed on the Magic, 7 night land, 7 nights sea. It was fantastic and goes down as one of our best Disney Holidays. Enjoy!:cool1:

Wee! Nice one - I guarantee you're going to love it and I'm very jealous of you getting to sail on the Dream :)

You will have a brilliant time!! (and get saving because you'll definitely want to go again!)

oooooohhhh lucky you.

I tried for weeks to persuade DH to do this cruise - on the same dates as you. But he decided he didnt want to so we booked 2 weeks with VH.

Now he's regretting it :confused3 should have listened to me :rotfl2:

Congratulations:cool1::cool1:

I am planning on booking our first cruise tomorrow
I'm hoping to book 3nts on the dream on the 14th April 2011, this is right in the middle of our trip and although I would like to do the 4 night, thw timing isn't quite right and with the cabing that are available it would be almost double the price :sad1:
I was hoping to be able to get an inside cabin with the virtual porthole but none are available.
I am booking this as DH's christmas present and will endevour to keep it a secret until then (apologies to those of you that don't like surprises:rotfl: ).

Sorry to hijack your thread but the one question I have, is there any luggage storage at port? I don't fancy taking three weeks worth of clothes on board and won't leave it in the car as we usually have a seven seater which doesn't have a covered boot.

Good luck with booking tomorrow. Joanne, are you staying at a Disney resort? If so, you can store your luggage there while you're on the cruise. If not then, no, sadly there are no luggage storage facilities.

:thumbsup2 thanks Joh, haven't booked any accom yet, wasn't planning on staying onsite TBH, rough idea is to do a villa for the first week (as we already have friends staying at Windsor hills) then cruise, then a night or two tampa for Busch, then 5 nights back in orlando, possibly encorporating Universal resort. Might have a re-think;)

If its nothing valuble, just clothes we would leave in the car, depends which 7 seater you get, some have a flap to pull out and cover luggage but I wouldn't be bothered if just clothes, its a secure fenced car park.

Not sure about the Dream too early yet but on the Magic and Wonder you can store cases under the bed.

Ahh congrats! we are returning from our 3 night Disney Dream Cruise on the 25th Sept! We are doing two weeks at disney before the cruise so have the luggage issue but in addition to normal luggage I will also have my wedding dress!!! not sure where its all going to go

Are you going back to Disney after the cruise or straight to the airport? If back to Disney they will store it for your return.
