We've gone down many times in the summer and the Brazillian tour groups
are indeed very annoying. We were talking with a CM at Planet Hollywood
and he had some background information. These kids are for the most part
kids of the aristocracy in Brazil. Most of them have Mommy&Daddy's credit
card, so's they dont' worry too much about $$. They also go to Miami and
"shop till they drop". I think that some of the reason that they're so "impolite" is that
they're really part of the 'ruling class' in Brazil, and they feel that they don't need to be polite to folks that they consider to be their inferiors.
I noticed after the Brazialians came to WDW in large groups is when WDW
started setting up formal queues for Meet and Greet's -too many times we would be standing in line with our two DD's and a bunch of
Brazillians would cut in front of us -and at that time, their knowdledge of
English would disappear..... amazing!

Not long after that, the
more formal Meet and Greet's started at the MK, and moved to the other
parks over the next year or so.
We had a funny experience at EC a while ago... We were in a looong line at
one of the restaraunts in the Commmunicore (now Innoventions West)..
Almost all the other guests were Brazillian, withh widely varied English skills.
This very very harried CM at the register, when I started to order... She
looked up and said "thank goodness, your'e Americans!" She then gasped,
and then said "boy, I hope you're not Disney CM's, are you??" I assured her
that we were not, and made sure that the manager at the restaraunt knew
how good she was doing her job with how busy it was and the language issues that she had. We've been going down over New Year's the last few
years so we haven't seen TOO many tour groups during that time... it's busy
enough then without any tour groups!
