:rainbow: Way to go, guys!

Thanks to everyone for your congrats! It is kind of nice having a piece of paper that acknowledges that we're indeed a couple.

And CoolBeans, that was 13 years ago TWO years ago when we started planning. Now, we're at more than 15 and a half years!

Congratulations! I know I already felt married to my husband before our actual wedding day, but it felt good to have it all legal-shmegal.

Last year, my wife, my 5-year old daughter, and I attended a wedding between two male friends of ours at our church (it's a UU church - a banner saying "Civil unions is a civil right" hangs from our headquarters in Boston). The thing that really impressed me about the wedding was that it was just as dull as a heterosexual wedding, so I couldn't tell the difference.

DD5 could, though. She told DW and I that she had a problem with the wedding. We thought we were going to have that coversation that all UU parents have. No, DD was fine that two guys were getting married. "Where's the flower girl?" she wanted to know. She had been to two other weddings, and had been the flower girl at both. She felt passed up for the job, even though there wasn't one.

Congratulations to the two of you. Society is slow, but once this type of thing starts to move, it can't be stopped. Here's hoping we see it in our lifetimes. L'chaim!

Conratulations! It took me THREE times to get it right! And you two have been together longer than the first two of my marriages put together - you did it right! :goodvibes

Congratulations! :thumbsup2 At the end of the day it's the fact you have each other that's imporatnt, not the party. Besides, who really likes to do the Hokie Pokie and eat bad chicken anyway!

Congratulations, Rick!!! Hopefully before long marriage will be legal.

Remember, it wasn't long ago that dancing between guys at Disneyland wasn't allowed. :) People need to keep up the fight and never give up! Takes strong, determined people, but things will change... just not as fast as we'd like.

Congrats & best wishes to you both. :grouphug:

Congratulations.

Bells and whistles are over-rated anyway. :)

Congratulations!!
 I wish you many, many, many more years of happiness.......
