We did it! Kinda

Congratulations!

I hope that the government finally decides to stop trying to regulate love and lets people, no matter their sexual preference get married.

A cousin who lives in Mass and got married as soon as it was okay there. She sent out announcments after the fact saying that they would have loved to have a bigger wedding, but they were afraid that if they took to long to plan the government might have changed the rulings. Sad they had to rush, but I'm happy they were able to get married.

AND yet JOE didnt mention this to me on the phone the other day ?

CONGRATS TO YOU BOTH

Toby and I are both proud to call you our friends ( cept on a Disney bus LOL) I will be calling you both soon at night when I can catch you both there and we will discuss this not being mentioned LOL

Love to you both
Mishell

Wonderful! I am so happy for you guys, congrats. Enjoy the rest of your lives together.

I just wanted to say congrats!! I will be first in line to vote to legalize the marriages!! It makes no difference to me and really don't understand why it does to anyone else. Life is too short not to have love in it!! Congrats on the decision and the new chapter together!!!

Congrats!

And let's all hope (and work!) for a better someday...

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! :cloud9:

It's just a matter of time. I know it can't come soon enough, but it will be happen, and we all will be so thrilled for you and Joe!!!!!!! :goodvibes

Thanks again guys!

And Mishell (mad4mickey), I pledge not to blow any more sushi burps in your face (please ignore the fingers crossed). FYI, Joe didn't mention it because we hadn't done it at the point you guys spoke on the phone. Plus, we made it kind of a secret and didn't tell anyone about it.

Congratulations, Rick! May you and Joe have many more years of happiness together! :cloud9:

congrats rick, this is great news for you guys.

..........and where to we send the wedding/reception/party/commitment whatever you want to call it that wasn't and became domestic partner registration gifts? :thumbsup2 Just 'cause there weren't bells and whistles doesn't mean no gifts right?

Congratulations!

Aw Rick, that's so nice. I know that it's not exactly the same but it's still just really nice. Congratulations.

Congratulations to you Rick and Joe!!

But I have to ask, is the upcoming trip still just a 40th b-day celebration (mine is soon too!!) or is it now a honeymoon too???

Congrats!!

In 2001 my cousin and her partner had a ceremony. No it's not legal, but it means something to all of us. It was great. We had it in their living room. We decorated it to the nines. They wore formal clothes. My mom was the "official". They had some close people over, probably about 10-12. We had the ceremony, then food, cake and a "reception." It was great. We keep trying to get my brother in law and his partner to do something. They've been together for ages, and they say they're fine with it so I guess no more ceremonies anytime soon!

Best Wishes.
