Crystal Palace
I was really excited for this one! After all, Eeyore is my favourite, so one of the first things I wanted to do when I booked the trip was eat with Eeyore!
I had received a great time to get there before park opening, so we could get some photos of Main Street and the Castle with no one else in them – so that’s what we did! Unfortunately at that time of the morning it was really foggy, and you could just about see the Castle!
Empty Main St.
Nevermind, off we went to check in for the breakfast. There was quite a few people waiting here when we got there and we were left waiting for around 10mins. I think here was the only place we weren’t given a beeper, so we were worried that we’d miss them calling us.
We were sat down in the right side of the restaurant, and the server took our drink orders and explained that the characters would come around the restaurant in order. We could see that Piglet was very close by and I didn't want to miss him, so we put off going for food until he'd been.
Piglet's Fonz impression - Hey!!
Of course, then Tigger was quite near, so we waited until he'd been over.
THEN Winnie the Pooh was hovering near our table, so we put him out of him misery and waved him on over.... kidding, kidding... I gave him a huge hug!
Ooooh, you want to see some food pics? Well me too! We've been here 15mins and haven't been up to get some chow yet!
Here's my first plate:
We have: a waffle with cream, some cheese, bacon, sausages, and 2 types of breakfast potato. Everything was quite good, just some normal breakfast items. Looking back I should have really put syrup on the waffle as it was quite dry without, but never mind.
Els plate:
Just some normal breakfast foods again. Sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, and pancake.
We have a long break in characters, so we both go up for our second plates. Here is mine:
The mush on the plate is the breakfast lasagne - OMG this was horrible! Yeuch! Why didn't you guys tell me it had cinnamon in?! The breakfast pizza on the other hand was quite good! Then we've got some fruit, a bit of cake which I didn't like, and a bit of french toast which I don't think I ate.
I admit, I didn't get a photo of Els' second plate because...well, look who came along!
Atmosphere: Loud, busy, manic, everything you'd expect from a Winnie the Pooh Breakfast in the Magic Kingdom at 8.25am on an August Saturday morning! I will admit though, I wasn't a big fan of the character interaction and was left quite disappointed, but I don't know what I was expecting. I mean, the characters came to the table, took a photo, signed my book and went, but they didn't play or joke around - maybe because we're a pair of overgrown kids, I don't know! I liked it just fine, although we had better interaction in Chef Mickey.
Overall: The food is just normal breakfast food, nothing to write home about really. We came just for the characters though and I think if you have kids then this is a really good place - we may have just come on a bad day, although saying that it wasn't 'bad', just a bit quick. Els mentioned to me just now that he thought it was very cold in there.

WILL WE BE BACK HERE? Probably not. There are loads more character breakfasts to try and I can meet Eeyore and Co. in AK.
