We Ate WDW! 10 Days on Free DDP with LOTS of PHOTOS!! COMPLETED!

Great reviews. We are trying some of your reviewed restaurants this trip and you have me excited. We went back and forth on Ohana, and I think we'll skip it this time.

Subbing.

I'm subscribing!

You two are so cute by the way! I'm 20, and I hope that I can find a cute BF that will want to go to DW with me!

It's so nice to read a positive review of Tony's since I just made an adr there for our trip in March. That tomato salad looks awesome!

Subbing, great report so far! I really love any kind of report with pics. We're going to be taking pictures of all our food when we go down in March. I may or may not be able to exert enough energy to put together my own report! :rotfl2:

I'm glad to see you enjoyed your meal at Tonys! I 've read so many bad reviews on different Boards that I never really wanted to give it a try. Looking forward to more!:)

Haley, am patiently :rolleyes1 for your Kona review as I'm hoping it's as good as I remember from our visit last August. After Kona, will you be doing any other reviews?

I am counting down to my 180 mark so I can begin making my ADRs for our upcoming trip, maybe we will see you there. My DH finally got me a digital camera for Christmas and as luck would have it, my DNiece took pity on me and also bought one for me so now I have two :rotfl: . I'm looking forward to taking pictures of our food for the first time so that I can do a TR or a dining review. (so who's interested in the likes and dislikes of a Mom, Dad and three boys, including one that has an aversion to meat and would live on macaroni & cheese if I let him).

Take care, hope to see more soon.

hey I was just wondering where you stayed when you went Hayley?
:)
Also, I'm sorry you weren't a big fan of BOMA. My mom and I ate there last time and we LOVED IT. I know you said you don't like banana but they banana bread pudding (which sounds disgusting) was the most amazing thing I've ever had. I dream of it!

EDIT: I love Tony's Town Square! When I went in July of 06 I had the spaghitti & meatballs (in honor of Lady & The Tramp) and while it wasn't exactly authentic it was really delicious. Also, I think the dip there that comes with the bread is a sun dried tomatoes mix as my brother (who normally hates tomatoes) couldn't get enough, asked what it was and nearly cried when he realized he actually liked something with tomatoes in it!

I will bedoing my Dining review soon unfortunately no pix as I don't know how !! I tried Boma and while the atmosphere and service wer great I wasn't a fan of the African seasoning There wer some things I really liked but it would not be on my must do list!!

Thank You! For all you hard work with the pics and the reviews, I have really enjoyed them. My Favorite reviews are the ones that are done with pics because you do not have to visualize the food, you can see it. LOL!

Els has beautiful eyes like my Hubby ;) ;)

I am looking forward to your upcoming reviews.

Crystal Palace

I was really excited for this one! After all, Eeyore is my favourite, so one of the first things I wanted to do when I booked the trip was eat with Eeyore!

I had received a great time to get there before park opening, so we could get some photos of Main Street and the Castle with no one else in them – so that’s what we did! Unfortunately at that time of the morning it was really foggy, and you could just about see the Castle!

Empty Main St.

Nevermind, off we went to check in for the breakfast. There was quite a few people waiting here when we got there and we were left waiting for around 10mins. I think here was the only place we weren’t given a beeper, so we were worried that we’d miss them calling us.

We were sat down in the right side of the restaurant, and the server took our drink orders and explained that the characters would come around the restaurant in order. We could see that Piglet was very close by and I didn't want to miss him, so we put off going for food until he'd been.

Piglet's Fonz impression - Hey!!

Of course, then Tigger was quite near, so we waited until he'd been over.

THEN Winnie the Pooh was hovering near our table, so we put him out of him misery and waved him on over.... kidding, kidding... I gave him a huge hug!

Ooooh, you want to see some food pics? Well me too! We've been here 15mins and haven't been up to get some chow yet!
Here's my first plate:
img7793copyqm7.jpg

We have: a waffle with cream, some cheese, bacon, sausages, and 2 types of breakfast potato. Everything was quite good, just some normal breakfast items. Looking back I should have really put syrup on the waffle as it was quite dry without, but never mind.

Els plate:

Just some normal breakfast foods again. Sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, and pancake.

We have a long break in characters, so we both go up for our second plates. Here is mine:
img7798copyia9.jpg

The mush on the plate is the breakfast lasagne - OMG this was horrible! Yeuch! Why didn't you guys tell me it had cinnamon in?! The breakfast pizza on the other hand was quite good! Then we've got some fruit, a bit of cake which I didn't like, and a bit of french toast which I don't think I ate.

I admit, I didn't get a photo of Els' second plate because...well, look who came along!

Atmosphere:
Loud, busy, manic, everything you'd expect from a Winnie the Pooh Breakfast in the Magic Kingdom at 8.25am on an August Saturday morning! I will admit though, I wasn't a big fan of the character interaction and was left quite disappointed, but I don't know what I was expecting. I mean, the characters came to the table, took a photo, signed my book and went, but they didn't play or joke around - maybe because we're a pair of overgrown kids, I don't know! I liked it just fine, although we had better interaction in Chef Mickey.

Overall: The food is just normal breakfast food, nothing to write home about really. We came just for the characters though and I think if you have kids then this is a really good place - we may have just come on a bad day, although saying that it wasn't 'bad', just a bit quick. Els mentioned to me just now that he thought it was very cold in there.

H RATING: 6/10
E RATING: 6/10
WILL WE BE BACK HERE? Probably not. There are loads more character breakfasts to try and I can meet Eeyore and Co. in AK.

No Mickey Waffles?!?! They're my favorite thing ever. Also, what was the breakfast pizza made up of????

I never saw the Mickey waffles, I think I missed them :(

I know this sounds weird, but it tasted a bit like a cheesy omelette... but it was good :teeth:

well cheesy omelettes ARE delicious! :)
Also, you never got to have mickey waffles the whole time you were there?! You have to get them every breakfast in August!!! :)

I noticed what looked like a dab of grits on Els plate. Being as those are a southern staple- what did you think of them?

I have to agree with you on Crystal Palace. A few years back we went for breakfast with 4 kids and it was our first ever character experience and we really enjoyed it. Since then we have eaten dinner twice and have not enjoyed it as much as that first time. Not saying that it is out all together but deserves a break so we can try some new things as well.

I really enjoy reading your reviews. Thanks for taking the time to post them. Ya'll looked like you had a great time.

I could have sworn the last time I was there they had either pooh or piglet waffles. I can't remember which.:confused3

Thanks for sharing your CP review. That breakfast looks good, I could just eat that now! What is in breakfast lasagne, apart from cinnamon?

Laur's princess:

You look so cute in your pictures! I liked our character breakfast at CP, but once was enough. Next time we're sleeping in.

BTW, too bad you didn't get to meet the day-go orange Tigger like we did on our trip. My retinas are still recovering. ;)
