I love seeing the sun's rays like that. I had a lovely moment back on our Feb/March trip where I saw that and it just reminded me of my dad. I see them all the time at Disney but I guess it's much more meaningful now.

Day 5 Part 3: Epic-ly Ever After!

As we were arriving at the Magic Kingdom I texted everyone that we were heading into MK now.
We grabbed these pics as we walked in.

For most of the trip we were just posting in our Facebook group kinda what our location was at that moment, or we'd post a picture and usually someone would be like, "I'm in the same park!" or "I'm right next door!" or in our case, Billie (@Elevationist) and Sarah (@IowaTater) were literally on Main St too!!

They were going to photobomb our pictures but they were too late, LOL. Billie gave us all the awesome buttons she had made with our logo which CS had designed.

We grabbed these pictures together on Main St. The photographer grabbed lots of pics with us!

And this classic picture. I don't remember if we told the photographer if we were on a girls trip, or if she saw our buttons but she told us to pose like this and it is the most hilarious picture ever.

My expression is genuine, y'all, I do this every day!

We all headed to ride Pirates, I don't remember if we had FPs or if we went in the standby. I'm thinking we all went in standby.

First of many Chunky boats!! I love Billie and Sarah's very excited expressions to be on a Chunky boat. We should all have that expression on Chunky boats! Steve is borderline bored of Chunky boats.

Apparently we are the only ones on this boat who know exactly where the ride camera is!! #disneyveterans

All of us were so busy chatting that I didn't take many pictures from that point. When we got out we met Ariana over at Tortuga Tavern and headed over to check in for the dessert party. The Yacht club girls had already checked in and were off doing their FPs.

I did, however, make this super exciting GIF of us walking (and Billie in her Chunkywheels):

We arrived, checked in for the dessert party at Tomorrowland Terrace then all used the facilities before we headed into the reserved viewing section in the hub. Billie parked her scooter towards the front (although I think she was blocked by a very large...bush). Steve and I found a railing to lean on and I think a bunch of us congregated there as there was some empty spots for seats and still a good view when you look up.

Soon we were joined by the rest of the dessert party ladies...Lesley (@Lesley Wake), Caroline (@disneyAndi14), and Molly (@Mollydolly334). Out of the group, I've met Billie and obviously Lesley before, but with the rest of the ladies, even though I've never met them before, there was definitely a comfort level knowing them though the DISboards and our FB group and I think we all got along splendidly. (Although I did ask Sarah how her kids were and she doesn't have any kids, doh, LOL, that's just me being a spaz as usual.)

Lesley has hunky Steve on her shoulder, which she had cleverly manipulated with some magnets on America's A.S.S.

But why is no one ready for this picture?

Actually I think that was the PP photographer coming to tell us (in hushed tones) that the couple sitting in front of us, the guy was going to propose to the girl during HEA so not to be alarmed when she darts in to grab their picture. How sweet though! I hope she could hear what he's saying with all the music and fireworks going off, but I guess when a guy is down on one knee you kinda know what's going on...

We also grabbed this little prop picture while waiting for the fireworks to start.

I don't have too many pics of the fireworks, I have a few videos but you all have seen HEA so I will just post these favorites:

It was hard not to look at them when we knew the intel! I even felt nervous for the guy, he certainly looked very anxious! When he proposed and she said yes, we all cheered and clapped.
(I can't even imagine what would happen if the girl said no. Obviously no Happily Ever After...ever, for them! But luckily that was not the case and I wish them all the best!)

I don't think I even have a picture with the castle with the red projections on it. As you can see Sarah and Molly are doing the cutest little Chunky Dumps, but with much less flair than @Steppesister, Don't worry at tommrow's event you will see the Chunky Dump the way it was meant to be done, courtesy of Liesa.

Now it was time for...DESSERT! When we arrived they checked our bands and we could pretty much sit anywhere, the afterparty was quite empty with just a few tables of people. I'm sorry I don't have pictures of the buffet spread, we were too busy chowing down and chatting.

Here is one plate of food though:

The syringe-like thing is like a push pop of grey stuff! So good! And of course the chocolate covered strawberries are amazing. And I ate lots of cheese and springrolls! The spring rolls are much much better than the ones I had at the last HEA dessert party I went to last year, those were like egg rolls. The ones at this part were just like the cheeseburger spring rolls they have at the cart in Adventureland! They are so good.

Oh and I tried to get some Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake:

(The incident did give me flashbacks to my first episode of Manatees and Me)

It was really really good! Warm, and sufficiently gooey!

Unfortunately Caroline felt ill and had to head back to rest. I'm sure since it was her travel day she was probably really dehydrated and just plain ol' exhausted so we wished her well.

I tried to grab a selfie of our table and I think I managed except I cropped out most of CS. Don't worry she has plenty of pictures of her entire face.

As we were getting ready to leave, the CMs told us to take food with us, so we grabbed the to-go cups for the coffee, the ones with lids, and filled it with cheese, crackers, egg rolls, anything we could take. Steve put our stuff in his back pack. Lesley carried hers around and unfortunately...some cheese cubes did not make it. They tumbled out of the cups and left their mark somewhere on Main St.

Let's have a moment of silence for the cheese. They were young cheeses too, hadn't really aged nor were they mature. Poor little cheese cubes. I must say though that the Babybells were spared, they do not serve those at the dessert party.



It was now officially EMH and we all split up. I wanted to ride the Chunky Peoplemover and Steve and CS went off to ride...BTMRR I think. So all the ladies (aside from Caroline who had left) went to Tomorrowland.

It turns out they do not run the Peoplemover during EMH which is sad, so we went on Buzz instead. I am not a good Buzz player. I am usually quite dismal, but for some unbeknownst reason i was really good that night! I must have caught one of the secret Z without knowing it. When I looked at my score I was amazed as I've never gotten anything like this before.

Even though we only did one ride, we decided we needed some rest before tomorrow's big big day, so we headed out. I had texted Steve and my sister and they said all the rides were breaking down so they didn't really get to go on anything, hahaha. So much for EMH!

We did get these pictures as we were leaving, and they are some of my favorites.

Oh I'm so glad to hear it! Although... I sprained something when I was a kid (don't even remember what now ) but I do remember the doctor saying it would have been easier had it just been broken - so, my point is that I can imagine how painful it's been because a bad sprain can be just as bad as a break (if not worse!) - at least according to my very foggy childhood memory of a trip to the doctors

OMG this was amazing! The sauce was really spicy but I thought this dish was wonderful. I love crunchy deep fried veggies. I makes me believe I'm eating something healthy and unhealthy at the same time, which is better than just being downright unhealthy right? Hahaha. If you don't like spice, the cauliflower without the sauce is still plenty tasty. Definitely don't forget the capers as it adds that extra salty tangy kick!

So sweet! I once witnessed a surprise proposal and immediately teared up. And I'm not a sappy person (usually), but something about the preparation and earnestness was really touching.
