My family [Dad & Mom, Me(22), and sister(19)] will be going on our 6h trip to WDW in July. We have always gone at the beginning of June before, but this time it will be July before we can go. My question is, are the crowds much worse in July? We will be there about a week after the 4th of July. It's always been hot and crowded, but I'm just hoping it's not much more crowded. We like to spend ALL day at the parks and rides tons of rides. Is this going to happen again? I'm not trying to complain. Disney World at any time is great with me! We will enjoy being there no matter what the crowds and heat are like!

July is more crowded than early June, but since you are waiting until the week after the 4th, it will be manageable.

Re you staying onsite? I ask because taht makes a huge difference in the heat of summer. We stay onsite and try to leave the parkeach day by around 3:30. This little break makes a big difference. Go back to your room, go to anotehr resort, just ride the monorail or a bus or boat. Eat dinner, then go back to the park once it's cooled down. Summer means later evening hours and yo uget to take advantage of the cooler (ha) night air. JMA

We went 2 years in a row in July and it was very hot but not as crowded as I was worried it would be. Don't get me wrong - there were a lot of people there - Fast Pass was crucial for the big rides. We had BIG thunderstorms most afternoons too.
The waterparks were closed for capacity every morning too.
We found Epcot to be the least crowded (or feeling crowded) and MK to be the most crowded, which is probably typical I guess.

I went this past July from the 6th to the 13th and IMHO it was very crowded and hot....I think the heat really made the crowds seem even worse. We were also there for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Years and while the crowds were heavier then the July crowds seemed worse...I really think the heat played a factor...

We also have done our vacation in July this past year. Yes its crowded and hot but we always went to the parks right when it opened on their early entry day and then left that park for another one when the crowd started coming. We take advantage of the fastpass for all the rides that had them and we didn't seem to have any problems at all doing the rides we really wanted too.

We went the same week last year, and the crowds were manageable, but the heat was awful.

Get to the parks early, leave before or after lunch for a pool/resort break and return to another park in the evening when the weather cools down. We did EE at MK and also ate at Crystal Palace with an 8:15 PS on a non-EE day. For the other parks we went the day after EE and the crowds weren't bad at all. Don't be afraid of the rain. Usually the showers started during our afternoon break, but sometimes we ventured into the parks when everyone else was fleeing from the rain. The parks were very empty.

AK is unbearable in the heat. If you must go there, just spend a few hours in the morning. It might be worth it to do their EE. Epcot's World Showcase seemed to have the most shade and lots of Air Conditioned spots to cool off.

We went July 2003 right after the 4th, never again. The crowds we could deal with, used to going to Kings Island on weekends, but the heat was unbearable. I got sick 2 different days, which made the trip not very enjoyable. We will never go back again during the summer months, only 10 weeks to go til our next trip on Jan. 1st.:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy:

With and crowds are moderate to heavy. The only way we do it,is go early tour until lunch then go back to room or pool at resort. Then early evening go back and tour for a few hours. At this time of year I've seen the most unhappy little ones and adults at WDW than any other time.::yes:: :wave2:

July is a great month to go (we love the hotweather). Just:
--Get to the parks early then leave around lunch
--Use Fastpass
--take a rest during the hottest time of day (usually during a thunderstorm)
--In the late afternoon, early ervening, go to a different park
--enjoy the waterparks and pools
