WDW for couples: Which resort is the best for a couple?

I guess it's not romantic but as an adult couple we are staying at POP as we will be out and about in DTD and the Boardwalk until late not to mention staying in parks until closing so the room really will be for sleeping only.
So I would say values are probably great for couples that want to be out a lot no? :)

Got to be the Boardwalk Inn. It's a quiet hotel, then you head outside and suddenly you're in a great nightlife spot, full of atmosphere. With Flying Fish, Jellyrolls and the Dance Hall, plus Epcot's World Showcase next door, it's perfect for couples.

We did the exact same thing last October...we literally spent no more than an hour, awake in our rooms at Pop, and plan to do that again, next
Trip, we had such a splendid time.

We stayed at beach club for our honeymoon. It was perfect. Just a walk away from our dinners in Epcot and the boardwalk. It was quiet and wonderful.

POP can be very romantic. We love the 50's bldg. Take a late night or early morning stroll hand in hand all around the lake. Beautiful sunrises. and QUIET !

Then it's quite fun to look at the stuff in the lobby from our decade and talk about our childhoods. " I had that ! " " Me too ! " After over 30 years together it still can open conversations that we learn something new about each other. That is very romantic :goodvibes So don't rule out a value resort :thumbsup2 (a trip to the grocery store can be romantic if you're with the right person).

My husband and I stayed in the POR Royal Room and had quite a romantic time. Such a beautiful resort with beautiful walkways to stroll along the river. The noise of horse steps as the horse carriage comes by, or the sounds of the waves of the river while a boat makes its way to DTD makes POR one of my favorite resorts. Boatwrights is also delicious and it's usually not a crazy restaurant in terms of noise and busyness.

We are stayign at WL this coming Sept and think it will be another new favorite for us!

I agree, I think POR is the most romantic resort. DH did the horse and carriage for me last year for our anniversary, had dinner at Boatwrights, and then an in room celebration! This could be part of my bias, but was definitely the most amazing night!

I do find the boardwalk very romantic as well. DH and I stayed for Valentine's day. Something so silly, but was so romantic to me, was getting funnel cake, right before they closed like 11:30, and sitting on the bench watching the boats coming and going from HS and Epcot. It was so quiet, not busy at all, so romantic! :)

Of the resorts I've stayed at, YC was by far the best for an adult-only trip, IMO. That's where DH and I stayed for our first kid-free trip last year. This time (5 more weeks!) we are going with WL. I think probably any of the deluxes would be great for couples

Just stayed at YC in June, and will be there for my anniversary this year. Doing a boat cruise from there. I do agree any Deluxes (and POR) are great for couples.

We're trying Yacht Club (we'll be sure to visit the Beach Club since they share amenities), POR and Carribean Beach in November. I might have to update my list! :lmao:
