WDW Commando Club

My vote would be the Mexican QS, can't remember the name though... with a big margarita!

I've only eaten TS at Boardwalk, but I hear the Boardwalk bakery is delicious and I think they serve sandwiches in addition to desserts.

I know where you mean, I think it's called The Cantina or something like that:confused3

Your trip is coming up pretty quick now, what kind of plans do you have laid out so far:confused3 Jan should be pretty quite (I think) you can probably get alot done rather quick, without the crowds.

What kind of bread would you compare the School bread in Norway with:confused3 Sounds really different

Now with just that info, even if I don't do a QS in Norway, with such a interesting dish I have to try it, It looks like a good value for a snack credit that would feed all 3 of us, I can't knock it till I try it, Maybe I'll get one and share it with Dave & Chris on the 5th:goodvibes

I'm trying to talk DW into staying for another day or two so I can hook up with more Dads, but she's not buying it :sad2:

Surprisingly, I don't have much done for the January trip. It's only 3 nights and my parents are helping to fund the trip. I've been told that they will not abide by my crazy touring plans! I feel like I have to respect that since they're paying part of my expenses while there... We only have one ADR for our first night (and DHs birthday) at Tutto Italia. Other than that, I guess we'll be doing QS places only. I have a list of places in my head that are "acceptable" and I'm really going to push for Columbia Harbor House when we're in MK. I'm hoping it's nice and quiet so we can get a lot done with my slow family. It's marathon weekend, so my main focus has been on planning park days around that. I guess I do have park plans done. My sister is also trying to catch up with a CM friend of hers, so that might change things. Last time she met up with him, she got access to all kinds of great stuff (private meet and greets, etc), so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he can hook all of us up this time!

Thanks for posting this, I have a friend who is a CM and I kept forgetting to e-mail him that we are coming. Your post reminded me, so I just sent him an e-mail. Thanks again!

Another planner here. Just finished my planned trip to MNSSHP on October 29th (entry @ 3:45, 4:05 ADR @ Plaza, every ride, dance party, fireworks parade, etc.) Now working on my trip for MVMCP on November 18th. A little different since I live 20 minutes away, but this will be my mom's first MVMCP (dragged dad to it a couple years ago). Plan is to arrive for entry @ 3:45, 4:05 ADR @ Liberty Tree, every ride, fireworks, parade. Is it weird that I was totally thrown off this last trip for MNSSHP by not following my typical strategy to start at Tommorowland and work my way around the park couterclockwise? :)

:welcome: You are member #130. I have to admit I'm a bit jealous that you only live 20mins away from Mickey:rolleyes1 Your so luckey:goodvibes
I myself try to start on the left side of the parks (most people are right handed, so they usally tend to start on the right side:confused3)

Maybe you will still be able to break her:lmao: But if you can't I pass Baltimore on I95 at least a dozen times a year, hold a zoo membership (not at Baltimore zoo), but still can get in 1/2 price, we've done it a couple of times on a day trip, it's a nice zoo, and since it's kind of in the woods, it doesn't get too hot. Also go to Kings Dominion, and Busch Gardens in VA (Don lives close to BG) Next summer I'm sure we could put a non-Disney trip together:goodvibes

If your parents are anything like mine, after dinner you will be pretty much be freed up, so you would have PM EMH's to run amuck:thumbsup2 Make sure you get DH a Birthday button, make sure he wears it the whole trip (never know what kind of Magic Moments will pop up:goodvibes)

I really hope your sister catches up with her friend the CM, sounds really cool, I never knew they did that kind of stuff (note to self, see if anyone I know works at WDW, wait I think my wife's Aunt does:confused3 gonna have to look into that:idea:)

If you stay out of the park that is doing the Marathon, I think you will be just fine:cool2:

Pre-ordered PhotoPass saved $50:cool1: Hey $50 bucks is $50 bucks:goodvibes

Thanks Randall for the link, if you could be so kind to post it here so other fellow Commandos can take advantage of it, that would be Awesome

Just made my cut list (rides & attractions) that we will NOT be doing, for one reason or another (boring, hieght, DS is scared, takes too long, etc)

MK
- Astro Orbiter
- Carousel of Progrss
- Hall of Presidents
- Mad Tea Party
- Stitch's Great Escape
- Swiss Family Treehouse
- TA People Mover

AK
- Boneyard
- Expedition Everst
- Kali River Rapids

HS
- American Idol Attraction
- The Great Movie Ride
- Honey I Shrunk The Playground
- Sounds Dangerous
- Playhouse Disney, Live on Stage
- Voyage of the Little Mermaid

Epcot
- Misson Space
- Honey I Shrunk The Audience (if it is still Capt. EO we will see it)
- Chinia Movie
- Norway Movie

With all the Christmas stuff going on , had to cut some corners, The Christmas activities are top priority this trip and Trump over some rides that take up alot of time.

Some of the cut rides, you might say are you crazy, I might like the ride, but DS can not get on it because of hieght, or he's scared of it:scared1:

If anyone has a ? on why something made the cut, just ask :confused3

Important Note- Always reprint park hours a few weeks before you go, I printed them a few months back, and what do you know they changed Dec 6th EMH, Park was open from 9-8 with 8-11 as EMH, it is now 9-10 with a 10-1 EMH:cool1: Bounus for me:goodvibes

Got burned last year with Fantasmic on this the night we were going to go they did Wishes instead (wasn't the only one there dumbfounded):confused3

Like The Who says, I Wouldn't Get Fooled Again, NO NO NO:woohoo:

It looks like Epcot is my main challenge to complete this trip (with all the extra Christmas Activites) I need to get more time in there:scared1:

Some Ideas

- 1st day there is a PM EMH at HS till 11pm. We will be there starting around 6pm, gives me 5hrs, since it will be dark when we get there, nomatter how cool Hollywood Blvd looks we have to skip it until we are leaving. Hit Osbourne lights, then stay on the left side of the park and see if we can get it all done, I want to hit TSM during a Osbourne light show during the EMH, if I can get that done, on the AM EMH we can go to TSM 1st thing, and not worry about a FP. Instead get a FP for RnRRC 0r TOT, by the time the FP comes into play, we should have everything done, maybe we can be out of there by 11am and hit Epcot 3hrs earlier on Epcots PM EMH:confused3

Also I'm going to try to skim alittle extra time off AK, by maximizing the EMH's

I hope I can pull off the EMH's to the max as we have done in past years, last 2 years we actually ended up with a extra day, even with burning a day at Seaworld:cool1:something my DS I know loves, last year he got to go on the Test Track a total of 13times for the week. I don't think we will have as much extra time, this trip, but you never know:confused3

Just an FYI, we hit TSM during a Fantasmic night and the line was still more than 2 hours long! We thought for sure that people would be in the Fantasmic theatre, which there were a lot there too as we walked by! Somehow the line never got any shorter at TSM though.

Also, to respond to your post in response to my post - marathon weekend might be a little trickier than I thought. The full marathon goes through all 4 parks, but I think the half only goes through 2 parks. So I might have to re-look at that and make sure we won't get stuck waiting for runners to go by so we can cross the street or something silly.

I was quite jealous of my sister's spring break trip this year. She met characters that I didn't think were ever available for meet & greets, most specifically Megura.

:scared1: Thanks for the heads up. I hope we will be able to pull it off.:confused3 This was my thaught, after 8pm is EMH, so that gets rid of alot of people, allthough others will arrive for EMH, no FP's, so you only have 1 line. Fantasmic is not going on that night. Was going to try to get on TSM during a Osbourne lights show, with the idea of everyone wants to take advantage of all the Christmas activities:rolleyes1. I guess it will be a crapshot, but a 30min wait is my limit:woohoo: I hope it will work out, otherwise it's off to plan B:lmao:

I can't believe they are running the marathon in all 4 parks, thats crazy:crazy: The 1/2 marathon might be the better choice (got to check name of marathons and if they are being run for a cause, could make a difference :confused3)

Megura from Hercules:confused3 that is a rare one, I hope your sister comes through and you get to do the meet & greets, that sounds Awesome:cool1::goodvibes

Just waiting on a couple more things before I really put all the info together and make a finial plan.
Debbie sent me the updated version of the Documents last nite:worship: alot of new stuff in it, so I'll be breaking that down for a few days:scared1:
I need to add some time for some meets with The Dis Dads & Commandos that will be there (I'd hate to not meet up with anyone, even if it's just a handshake:goodvibes)

In the last few weeks I would have changed the plans several times already, so waiting it out till the last couple of weeks will hopefully pay off with just doing it once:confused3
