WDW Commando Club

HOORAY!!!:dance3::cool1::love:

BF is SOOO excited about his Commando number...he's talking about putting it on a jersey to wear on our trip in January.

I also think he's glad to know there are others out there like him. He still feels really bad about the whole wheelchair thing but my friend forgave him ages ago. She thinks it's insanely funny and it was her feet that were swollen!

That is Awesome:thumbsup2 If he makes one you have to post it:woohoo: Since the WDW Commando Club does not have a official logo, this could be his thing:confused3

In Dec I'm meeting up with several Dis Dads at least 3 or 4 of them are also Commando Club members, so it will also be a mini Commando meet, pics will be posted after trip of meetings, plus there is at least 1 Commando member that I know of that will be there the same week, so I'll be reaching out to for a possible meet:goodvibes

If anyone would like to volunteer to keep track of who's going when, I think it would be great if you can meet up, even for just a pic and handshake:goodvibes

I've been thinking about what Pete said on the Podcast about a Commando trip, (Aug 18th Podcast), maybe we can get a group together for a summer 2011 trip:goodvibes, of course we would invite Pete to join us, since he said he would like to do the 4 park 1day tour again:confused3

:goodvibes:woohoo::yay: Called WDW today to make a ressie for Harmony Barber Shop, well I was able to get the day and time I wanted. Had to be Noon, you might ask why noon:confused3

At noon The Dapper Dans come and perform at the Barber Shop, This is sure to be a Major highlight of the trip:goodvibes, Getting a haircut at WDW plus The Dapper Dans as live entertainment, how AWESOME is that:confused3:goodvibes:rolleyes1:cool1::yay:

That's great! I've never visited the Harmony Barber Shop. Is it weird to just walk in there and look around even if you don't need a haircut? :lmao:

I'm sure people pop in all day long to take a look around, I think they also do the glitter hair gel for the kids:confused3

Can't you book that before you package arrives? I tried to book the parade viewing after I got my package and they were all full. I thought they opened those up for reservations at 90 days out? Or maybe even before that??? Good luck!

I have been told that I am OCD because of the disney planning. What is the point of going if you don't get up, hit rope drop, get as many rides and shows as possible? First trip in 2001 (Sept) just kind of went with the flow. Second trip 2008 (Oct), full spread sheet, adr's, list of must does, everyone out the door at the buses for rope drop, you snooze you lose. I was called the crazy person:confused3. I'll see if they go back with me again:rotfl2:.
Well I guess they all have seen the light. Next trip Sept. 2011. We are a party of 20:scared1: and they are all about adr's and must does. Now we are doing once a month planning parties. They are called our disney night. It is all about planning. And they called me crazy 2 years ago:laughing:.

:welcome: you are member #128. Snooze you lose, I use that all the time, along with move your feet lose your seat:lmao:, I've had people tell me they didn't find WDW Magicial:confused3, IMO you have to go and look for it like it was treasure:woohoo: there is so much most miss by not being aware of thier surroundings:confused3

You got a group of 20:scared1: I would have everyone make up a list of priorities and go from majority downward, should keep everyone happy, plus Sept. still has some good EMH's so you will most likely get everything done:yay:

Next trip Sept. 2011. We are a party of 20:scared1:

We had a wedding group of over 40 in 2006 and we all had to do our own thing. It was not possible for everyone to agree on anything. Our 46th trip is coming up in 5 weeks and we don't bother to do much planning anymore. We adapt to conditions almost automatically. My favorite ride now is the Beers of the World in Epcot and it's all about the shows and watching people and a few select rides. I love the World Showcase Players too,

Your planning get-togethers sound like lots of fun! Have a good time.

Al. will you be there anytime between Dec 5-11:confused3 I know I'll be doing some drink sampling on the 5th, maybe we could down a few:drinking1:confused3

I had a great idea, that has quickly been scraped, I was going to do pressed pennies in a 1943 steel penny edition. But after talking with a couple of coin dealers, I found out it would be way to hard to get the pennies in new cond, unless you used unciriculated ones ( alittle costly:eek:) if you try to clean a reg steel penny it's like trying to keep a stainless steel grille clean:eek:. Now I'm thinking of getting a roll of 1971 (year WDW opened) uncirculated pennies instead. I want everything to match since if you put them in the right way you can read the date, I'm thinking 1971 would be the year to go with.

Option 2 if I did some research on the year each park opened and got pennies to match each park, would that be better:confused3

Just trying to come up with something that years from now my son will say WOW Dad really hooked me up:goodvibes

We're getting there on the 6th but will be at Universal & SeaWorld the first part of the trip. As it gets closer and we see how my wife's back is doing we may be able to change some plans around. Like I said, I'm flexible especially when beer is involved:lmao:

I'll PM about it. We're off on a trip right now visiting some of our grand children. :woohoo:

Have a Great visit with the Grandkids:goodvibes

I haven't made it through the thread yet, but count me in! I made my spreadsheet 180 days out and have only had to tweak it a little. It consists of 4 pages:
1. Park times, special outfits in neccessary, and ADR's (We do deluxe dining, so we have 2-3 each day, lots of character meals!)
2. A daily plan with times added, just so I know if we are close to being on track to get to everything.
3. What I need to pack.
4. Snacks!! Printed off of JJohnson's list from the Dis.
I drive DH and the kiddos crazy but we get a lot out of our WDW vacations!

My latest Disney project is trying to find some groups of 4 going to DHS then EPCOT on Dec 21st and/or EPCOT then DHS on the 22nd to trade FPes with my fam of 4.

Thanks for making me feel a little less crazy!!!

:welcome:You are member #129. You look like you are right on track:goodvibes. Aimee posted the link to JJohnson's snack list on I think pg 20, it's huge, I didn't even know there were that many snacks out there:eek:, did a awesome job putting it together:thumbsup2

I did think of a possible way to make your FP project to go alittle smoother:confused3

If you titled it - Looking for Park Bouncers for the week of ?????????? For other parks FP swap:confused3

If you are in MK till 4 and grab say SM FP's for lets say it is 8:30, and you will be in HS at that time but can trade with someone who was at HS and going to MK that night, maybe you could trade for FP's for TSM for 7:45.
I see the time saving potential, you just have to find the right people, I would do it if I was at WDW that week. Good Luck, I love the whole concept let us know how it worked out:confused3

Putting together QS meals for the week

Sun- All Star Movies Cafe- Want to eat and get out to Epcot ASAP, plus they have a decent menu

Mon- Flame Tree BBQ

Tues- Late Night QS probably at the Boardwalk somewhere, any suggestions:confused3

Wed - Has to be somewhere in Epcot, not really fond of the Umbrella, Oh where to go:confused3

Thur- Cosmic Ray's

Fri- Fairfax Fair

Sat - On way to the train will stop at Earl Of Sandwich for ride home

So I need to fill a QS at the Boardwalk & Epcot yet

We like the QS at Norway, big portions and great soup. We usually share a meal. Sorry, haven't been to Boardwalk.

Thanks Randall, Sounds good, funny I didn't even think about the WS for QS, I new America had a QS with the boring burger, But for some reason I was thinking they were all TS.

My vote would be the Mexican QS, can't remember the name though... with a big margarita!

I've only eaten TS at Boardwalk, but I hear the Boardwalk bakery is delicious and I think they serve sandwiches in addition to desserts.
