WDW called me about June Hours Today

I had emailed WDW about a month ago about the June hours and how they were closing so early for it being June and all. And they never answered me back.

A very nice person called me back today and apoligized for taking so long to get back to us about it. She said that some of the June hours had indeed been changed. But they were only for the 1st week or so of June. I told her that I wasn't happy that the hours were not long, with it being summer and all and alot of kids were out of school. And that we basically chose June because that was the beginning of the longer schedule, etc. She said as of now.....this is the hours, but that once I'm there, they will probably chance the hours when they see how the attendance is. (let's hope so).

I asked her about the water parks. And how they were not opening up until 10:00 and whenever we have gone in June before, they were opened at 9:00. I asked if that had been changed and she said no, not as of now.

So, basically she said that is the hours for now and that when they see that attendance is up, then they will change the hours then. :(

Sounds like a typical non-answer to me. Oh well, maybe they will extend those hours while you're there, at least I hope so. It's wonderful that you let them know about your concerns though. Maybe if enough people do that, they'll listen!

For what its worth, I sent a similar complaint and received a similar response about two weeks ago.

We arrive on the 27th of June. We always go to the Magic Kingdom first. It is only open until 7:00 that night. I can't believe they are closing at 7:00pm on a Friday night at the end of June. Oh well, maybe they'll change it, maybe they won't. I guess I'll just have to enjoy the time I'll have.

Does anyone know if there is something going on that night that would have them close so early?

Thanks!

Friday night, June 27th is an e-ride night. so the MK will be open to E-night ticket holders only for 3hours after it closes to the public. So, get your ticket at the front desk of Cornado Springs, when you all check in. Enjoy :Pinkbounc

Thanks, Pooh's Pal. It seems to me that e-nights that time of year usually start at 9:00 or 10:00, not end then. It seems as if they are making guests pay extra that night for what should be regular opening times. I don't want to make a big deal out of this, it just bugs me a bit.

I agree. When we went to WDW late June 2000, the MK closed at 11pm and E-night lasted until 2am! We had the best time that last hour, there couldn't have been more than a handful of people in the entire park!

I don't like the shortened hours either, but there isn't much anyone can do about it. I'd bet WDW doesn't like having to dramtically cut prices trying to fill the parks anymore than I like having the hours cut.

It's a double edged sword...The prices are great and it's nice not having to deal with overly crowded parks, but the reduced hours and cut backs aren't pleasant at all.
