I took the 3 biggest factors (for me anyway) in deciding when to visit - Price, Temperature, Crowd level - and put them in a graph. The data was taken from easyWDW.com; the opinions are my own.

Basically mid Jan to mid Feb wins by a landslide because the prices and temperatures are rock bottom with the crowds only getting above "low" on weekends.

Mid April to Memorial day is a good time as it's not too hot, it's not too crowded nor is it too pricey. It's pretty medium.

Summer is the worst. It's packed, it's expensive and it's gawd awful hot.

Mid August through September is 2 out of 3. Very low rates and the lowest possible crowds but still scorching heat. If you can deal with the heat and care primarily about the other two, this is your season.

That tiny window between Thanksgiving and Christmas is very nice because it's cool, cheap, not too crowded and you have Christmas decorations to look at.

I like it a little warmer than you do and my favorite months for times that I have visited are March and April. I would love to try November too - haven't been yet then, but average temperatures, lower humidity, and lower crowds make that look like that might be a great time to go down there, and it's a time that Josh from Easy WDW really likes. I think he really does a good job of stating pros and cons of various times on his site. Weather would be the biggest factor for me if I had total flexibility. On paper to me, November baring Thanksgiving week looks like it might be a really great time (no personal experience with that month though).

Costs aren't as big a deal to me, as I like to stay offsite and with Orlando so overbuilt and the fact that I often do owner rentals too, for accommodations there are great deals any time of year. Orlando offsite is a bargain any time of year compared to other places that I travel. For me personally (just my opinion, of course) and 40% of all guests make other choices -- onsite is overrated and overpriced and that 24/7 Disney immersion and magic to me is a brilliant marketing myth. I can see, though, that if you are going to stay onsite, lower costs of accommodations could be a really big factor and a difference for a trip being in or out of budget.

Probably just because I've been to the parks so many times there is not all that much that is on my to do list in any one park or overall in all of WDW, so crowds aren't all that big a deal to me. Plus I'm an early riser and rope drop person. And even with my baby lists, I use www.touringplans.com to keep lines minimal for the few things that I do, and do them in a good order. That means I'm really OK as long as I avoid the super heavy times. I have no problem whatsoever with crowd levels of 7. Actually the main thing I prefer to avoid if I can are the 9s, but especially the 10s (I'm getting too old for those -- they are insane).

The Jan to Feb. period you like is a little cooler than I like.

I love March and early April -- have probably though the years done more than a dozen trips in that timeframe and find the weather to be glorious.

I've had really good luck before in the Mid April to Memorial Day period you mention. Averages though are getting a little hotter than I like.

I don't like summer for the heat and humidity. Summer in central Florida has no appeal to me whatsoever. Sept. and October while better than summer are more hot and humid than I like too. Lots of people really like these times, but the humidity IMHO just really takes a lot of the fun out.

As stated before I have no personal experience with November, but on paper it looks like a fabulous time.

December -- I've done a bunch of trips this time of year. Between Christmas and New Year is really insane. Weather wise that month has been all over the place for me. I've had some great weeks with mid 70s, low 80s even, and low humidity. But I've also had other trips where it was down in the 30s, and even though I had my parka with me, it was still just soo cold in the parks at night. It's too iffy to be a first choice, and averages are cooler than I prefer.

Bottom line though: When is a good time to go to WDW? Whenever you can go and others you'd like to travel with can go. lol.

Thank you for sharing this fabulous graph. I'm sure I will refer to it often.

We like the week before Thanksgiving. Lower crowds, free dining, Christmas decorations and cooler weather.

But this is the beauty of WDW. There are a million ways to do it and there are people with a million different needs.

Like nooneshome just stated. There are soo many different times to go with all different ranges of the factors you've spoken about. And this is the beauty of it being open 365/366 days outta the year.

We've been 11 times at various different seasons, and it's hard to pick just 1 favorite.

I absolutely love Jersey Week. For it's perfect weather ( low 80's ) and crowds, ( usually 5's & 6's ) and the chance to see Halloween decor & then immediately after Xmas stuff too

I also love when I first went on our Honeymoon. 1st week in May..For this had pretty low crowd, and perfect weather.

We are currently going to be going for our 2nd summer trip in Aug. The first one was an 11 niter, that we made through with only a minimal amount of rain. True we had a hurricane come though, but it went more towards the gulf, and it only rained for most of that morning...I'm hoping we'll get lucky this time around as well.

I'm sure that there are better times to go, but we are relegated to certain times now, because it's too important to not pull the kids out of school anymore, and definitely don't want to deal w/ the holiday weeks ( for parks that is )..LoL

Very interesting graphic. It combines useful data points into a visual that many people can easily relate to. Thanks!

I understand that fall crowds are lighter than other times of year, but we have watched the crowds starting the last week of September through the second week in October grow steadily every year. I thought Columbus Day weekend was worse than mid-March Spring Break, as far as crowds go. We're taking the kiddo out of school and going the weekend before Columbus Day this year to avoid that mess.

Thank you.....I'm going last 2 weeks of Jan (my favorite time of year to go)
1st week of Mar and first 2 weeks of Nov.
I like cooler, low crowds.....price isn't as important to me

We will be there Dec. 13-20 this year and hoping for great weather and manageable crowds. My adult DD and I have been there many times(since early 90's) and don't feel the need to do everything, so we can enjoy and be "easy breezy".

I'm an analytical type, so I really like the chart. The other key factor I consider is one that varies by family -- the school calendar. Our 2015-16 school year runs August 11 to May 16. This, along with the factors on the chart, means our best time to go is the second half of May. I also like the relatively lower risk of tropical storms and hurricanes, but we don't plan around that. Our current plan for next year is to stay May 12-21 and be headed back home before Memorial Day weekend. Our previous two trips were in late June (through July 3rd actually) and early/mid June, so I'm anxious to see firsthand how May compares.

Great graph. I'm still going in the late summer. Something heat haters don't understand about rain and waterparks.

We are going in 10 days but am already considering trying to return immediately after Thanksgiving. Looks like a good time according to your graph.

How about May 1 to May 15 ?
Looks like it would be good weather and low crowds ?

:thanks: This is awesome! I am very visual and your graph makes it exceedingly easy to "do the math"! Sparkle on!pixiedust:
