Single Digit Dance

They have been rehearsing all week for this special occasion. Watch for any mistakes and get back to me if they mess up. :lmao:

:dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer::dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer:

They're all doin' OK so far Shawna :thumbsup2

Thought I'd better start doing my list of what I need to remember to take/do today.

1. Eventually found the travel plug adaptor this morning. I was convinced it was upstairs and emptied out 4 cupboards in the futile search for it. Jeez, we have stockpiled some pretty useless stuff in the past 5 years! :rotfl:
After arguing (in my head) with DH that he MUST have moved it somewhere (he was with DS at rugby), I found it in the drawer in the utility room, which is where I remember putting it now :rolleyes1

2. Have sorted out first aid kit sundries and suntan lotion. Need to phone and order DSs hayfever meds to take with us just in case.

3. Phoned travel company and ordered kids meals for the flight. Heaven forbid they be faced with something unedible instead of chicken nuggets or sausages! :scared1:

4. Have hairdresser appointment for next Friday - therefore leaving absolutely no time to repair botched hair cut/colour if required. :scared1: I like to think I plan these things very well.

5. Need to remember to wax legs, eyebrows and tint eyelashes on Friday too, thereby eliminating the need for mascara. Only my eyeliner/make up will run after the water rides then, so I won't look quite as much of a panda. Am considering getting DH to wax my armpits as well, but he's a bit out of practice now, and bruised armpits are never attractive. :headache: Ditto for bikini line...He's currently tiling the kitchen, so the delicate task of hair removal maybe beyond him at the moment. Mental note - take razor.

6. Remember to apply fake tan the day before travelling (again, leaving no time to repair botched application). But, even streaky semi-tanned skin will be an improvement. If I arrive in Florida my normal shade of ivory I'll blind everyone when the sun hits my skin (the light! the light! it hurts!!) :lmao:

7. Have got all our currency, so I just need to remember to take it with us - it always helps having money I find.

That's all I can think of for the moment, I'm sure there are other things I'm forgetting to remember.

DH has added the Grim Reaper to our signature, but it's playing up again, so you can't actually see it, or my bouncing pumpkins, or my countdown ticker! :sad2:
He says it's for halloween :confused3, I don't know whether he's trying to tell me something....But he is operating his tile cutter with high speed circular blade at the moment...judging by the muttered curses and sounds of breaking tiles I don't think it's going well....

 TICKETS!!!!

I love getting anything from WDW!

We have annual passes. WDW offers us special discounts, got ASMu for $64 a night. Guess that is good. There are discounts at certain restaurants within the parks, but not all. Like at MK, only Noodle Station. Also discounts at certain shops. Actually, compared to other amusement parks, I'm not real happy with the little extras you get with the AP's. Most amusement parks, all food is discounted. And you normally get coupon books where you can get other guests in at a discounted rate or for free. But, I may have not done enough research on them yet. I'm a newbie. I did get the Premium, so we are able to go to the waterparks, DisneyQuest, and multiple parks in a day.

I love you and DH are communicating through this PTR. I had previously read someone else's TR, and her mother kept dropping in and picking on her. It was great.

Can't wait to read your TR when you get back, and who knows, if I get to go to the parks while you are there, I might see you.:goodvibes

Are we related and seperated at birth somehow? :lmao:

I like to think I plan these things very well.
Love it!! We leave on Thursday and I am having my hair cut by a new person my sister recommended for the first time on Wednesday. And my hair is REALLY hard to cut. What, you think that is a bad idea? :rolleyes1

Just me but I don't know if I would ask DH about the waxing at this particular moment. My DH would probably divorce me! ;)
Renovations are hell, aren't they?

Goodness you are so funny! You brightened my day - thanks! :goodvibes

It appears my DH has hijacked my PTR!!!!!

But, as he says, it was originally his signature - I hijacked from him to start the PTR ;)
Still........holiday tickets arrived today!!!!! :cool1:  :worship: :yay: :cheer2: (I like using the smilies!)
When they arrived I think I gave the postman a heart attack as I did my 'happy dance'.
In case you're wondering, that involves jumping around, shrieking in a tone usually only detectable to animals (the dog is now traumatised and whales are beaching themselves). But the tickets are here!!!!!!!!

:rotfl2: Too funny!

:yay: :yay: Yay! That the tickets arrived!!!

:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

:mickeyjum :goofy: Yay! For Single Digits!!!!

:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

Happy Packing!!!
And good luck with the to do list!
I have some of the same ones!
Mine is too long to think about at the moment. :sad2:

Grumpy posting here

I will only briefly touch on some of the tasks my wife asks me to undertake, suffice to say I retreat into my 'happy place' and try not to think about what I am doing  By the way I only broke one tile and still have all my digits so thats a result in my book!

Just over a week to go and I am hyper to the point of hysteria, started charging batteries for my camera last night, camcorder will be next on the list and I am now obsessing over getting a flip video whilst over just for when i want to shoot something quickly. I am a technology sucker really but you gotta love something new and shiny.

Were out for dinner last night with the couple who should have been coming with us, had they not gotten frisky and ended up adding to their family, oh the fools! Di and I tried not to talk too much about Disney but it was oh so hard. I ended up announcing we will go back in 2010, unsure how exactly this will be funded but thats for another day, so they should aim for that, assuming they can keep their hands to themselves!

Oh it's so close now..I know just how excited you all are!!! I am so excited for you :goodvibes

I was just thinking today, when I ran to the store to buy new rechargeable batteries for my camera and mini dvds for the camcorder, of how I can't wait to be at the stage of charging everything and getting all the electronics together with chargers, etc. for the trip. I guess I will do that next week, a week before...oh it feels good saying that!

Just make sure you don't forget anything ~ make sure you have all the batteries and all the chargers  That would be awful...

Anyway, just wanted to check in and share in your excitement of being so close to your dream vacation to WDW!!!

Thanks Amy,
I can't wait - the girls I work with were happy to see the back of me yesterday  I was walking about singing and smiling all the time! :goodvibes
Have my camera charger all set out - that would be terrible running out of charge mid park visit!
Isn't it great to be able to say: next week! pixiedust:

"Next Week"!!!

That does sound great!

And thank you for reminding me to buy new rechargeable batteries. Mine are not lasting as long as they once did. I am going to the store today, and would have forgotten. I love everyone's lists. They have all the things I need to do too.

Back again, did you notice the ticker?

5 days baybee!!!!!!!!! Can you hear me shrieking from over there? :hyper:

Anyway, the first setback of the holiday plan has hit already, and we're not even there yet! :sad2:

Remember I told you about our unsuccessful tour of Florida searching for ice skates?

Also remember of my desire to purchase 'The Closer' Tote Bag?

Well the evil shopping pixies have struck again!

I should maybe let you know that I have no luck whatsoever in shopping. Being a sensible, thrifty Scot I tend to consider my purchases, before purchasing. However, this tactic ineveitably means that my shopping karma kicks in and by the time I've decided to purchase, the said item is suddenly no longer available in my size (ever again), permanently out of stock or suddenly discontinued forever.

DH says I should just buy things when I see them, and I have tried to be an impulse shopper, but, as a Scot, I'm just genetically unable to do that.

And even when I try to Impulse shop it doesn't work...

Example 1. This year I needed a new swimsuit, and I fancied an all in one. I've finally accepted that the skin on my stomach is never magically going to de-wrinkle and de-stretch mark itself, and I'm getting kind of fed up of never bending over while wearing a two-piece (my stomach looks OK when I'm standing upright, but the minute I bend over it transforms into an 80 year olds). So when the swimsuits came out in the beginning of March I started looking and I saw one in M&S. After a couple of weeks of looking (it was March - plenty of time) I decided it was the one, it wasn't normally the style or colour I choose but I kept coming back to it.
So, I duly went into to purchase said swimsuit only to find it was gone!!!!! :scared1:
When I asked the saleswoman said - "oh, yes, it's in our sale rack!!!!" Over I run - none left!!
Who puts a swimsuit in a sale 3 weeks after it comes out???? :headache:
Discontinued - never seen again! :rolleyes1

Example 2: Last year we had an invite to a wedding and I saw a really nice dress in Monsoon - again, none in my size! :confused3 The salswoman said if I took out a store card I could order the dress and it would be delivered to the house as soon as it came in stock. So, I did, and waited. 5 weeks later the bill came in and I was charged for the dress - which I didn't have! Phoned the store, and it had been sent out weeks ago. Had to drive up to Glasgow to get another dress (now paid for twice! :headache: ), and collect the paperwork to start the lost mail procedure with Royal Mail, which I duly did. They said someone had signed for it but couldn't find the signature
I was starting to doubt myself...had I received the package and forgot??? I know my memories not what it used to be, but still.....
Anyway, Royal mail were starting the procedure to reimburse me and then 4 weeks later I got a phonecall from the store in Glasgow saying my dress had been returned and did I still want it?????? It had been sitting in the sorting office in Prestwick all that time - they'd never tried to deliver it!!!! :furious:
Anyway, it was last year, and I've worked through my anger...happy place....happy place....

So, back to 'The Closer' Tote Bag. :rolleyes1

Went online at the weekend, onto QVC, all ready to order...guess what?

ON WAITLIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it came back in stock within the next 45 days did I still want it posted????

Shopping Pixies SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes I despair....

But still.....5 DAYS!!!!!!!

Hi Kathleen,
Always happy to help! pixiedust:
Next week! :woohoo:

So sorry for your bad shopping luck. I ordered a rechargeable battery for my camera off of ebay last week and I am worried I'm not going to get it in time. I looked at the seller's feedback and lots of people mentioned slow shipping. That is what I get for not checking feedback before bidding. I don't leave until next Friday morning so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I do already have one camera battery but I after reading about batteries failing, I think I need a back-up battery.

As you do the five day happy dance, I am working on my 10 day happy dance. I hope you have a magical vacation!!!

Hi Di!

Sorry about your shopping experience. :headache: On the bright side, you're going to be at Disney soon!!!

I PM'd you my cell number and I have yours as well so hopefully you're phone will work here in the US!

Hope to see you next week!!!

Sorry to hear about all your bad shopping luck :( Have you learned though? If you see something you like ~ buy it!

I can't believe you only have 4 DAYS LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How excited are you guys?!?!?!?!?

Are you ready yet???

Hi Amy,
I've tried to buy quickly, but I can't! I worry - is it good value, can I afford it, will I wear it often enough to justify the cost? I'm Scottish plus a natural worrier! I'd rather impulse buy for the kids!

I'm sooo excited - can you hear me from over there?

I'm packing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DH is dealing with all the cameras, but have packed my charger! Hopefully you will get your goods before you travel. It sounds like my bad shopping pixies travel the world!

I have had some good shopping pixies lately. I've finally got a halloween costume for MNSSHP!!!
I'm going to be a Glamorous Witch :rotfl2:
I think I've already mentioned that I was having trouble finding an outfit that wouldn't get me escorted of Disney property - so no, it's not THAT sort of 'Glamorous'. Perfectly respectable.
DS has decided to take his AC Milan strip and just go as a footballer, DD will be either Ariel or Jasmine.
DH has no costume as yet.
Guess who'll stick out like a sore thumb?
He was quite taken with the idea of being a Puritan but didn't really know what the costume entailed. It's very black - possibly not a good idea in that Florida heat. Then he saw a Priests outfit. What's with the religious theme????
Again, possibly not good in Florida.
Has now decided to probably just buy a Jack Skellington hat and wear that. :wizard:
He loves NBC.

DH and I are sitting watching TV, an advert for WDW just came on. We were literally screaming with excitement!!!:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:
We can't wait :yay: :dance3: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:
