I agree! Hmmmm.......thinking, thinking, thinking. I know I definitely wouldn't be able to afford to cruise in 2009, but 2010 is definitely doable. I was even talking to my mom about this on the phone last night. She's retiring this month (and she just turned 58 a couple months ago!) so I'm trying to convince her to come since she won't have to worry about not being able to get time off work, but she knows she'd throw Tyler overboard after 2 days.

Just popping on....I figure with the announcements today everyone would be chatting away. I have been swamped with work (current job and new one) as well as trying to heal myself! Phew, it's exhausting. I think the last time I checked in was on part 4 or 5

I hope everyone is doing great. I bet there are lots of plans being made for 2010....I think we are going to pass on any 2010 booking at the moment

I'll check in again......maybe life will slow down for me

The Magic leaves Cadiz Spain at 10:30 PM!!! I'd get to see the ship at night (and not while I'm on it!!!)

Stop the Presses!

We are going to book the Eastbound cruise.

Not that this matters to anyone else around here, but I checked the west bound departure date (September 18, 2010) and it is Yom Kippur.

So, it would have to be the east bound in April for us.

The Westbound goes to St Maarten and Tortatola too so that makes it more appealing to me. It is also warmer so the kids could swim

Cruise dilemna! I'm not sure what we're doing? I was just talking to Ken and he didn't realize it starts booking net week Does anybody know if the 50% off booking will still be on next week?

Yep, the Baltic is out of the question on DCL. The TA with a one way airfare would be much more possible. I'm attracted to the Westbound because of ending up in the Caribbean for a few days Plus it gives more time to save up $$ from my Sept 09 cruise.

(hmmmmmmm...wonder what three in a verandah would be????)

I am doing well....no change with the vision....but still lots of positive thoughts about waking one day soon with complete sight back!

Scott is doing well, dealing with my new eating habits (I have had to give up Gluten, Dairy and Eggs!) and enjoying his job.

The girls are great....we are in the middle of soccer season so life is crazy. School is going well and they both are having good years.

How about you?!

OK, I just emailed my waitlist request form for the 4/10/10 EB TA!

But of course, if airfare is too outrageous, I'll be cancelling, so nobody get too excited, I just want to have something, knowing I can move it or cancel if needed. I just couldn't pass up $999/person for 14 nights. Unbelievable!

but on the the plus side, April will be just so, so ... transatlantic. In the old movies, they are always sitting with lap rugs on deck on their way across the Atlantic.

We can just dress smartly for doing a turn around the deck.

I have a wonder mental picture of the two of you!

They never even responded. It's a good thing I made that decision though, because my first day at the new job, I would have had to leave at 11:30 to pick Tyler up when he got suspended.

Office Manager still isn't talking to me. I sent her an email today telling her I have to leave at 4:30 this Thursday for our parent/teacher conference at school and she responded with "That's fine." So I guess that would count as talking to me!

She DID take away my helper though. My fellow DISer co-worker is on the Magic this week, her first day off this vacation was last Friday and she comes back next Monday. Well, I asked the Energizer Bunny lawyer if he'd like me to make arrangements for Tyler to go to the after school care and we'd skip his stuff this week so I can just work until 5 while she's on vacation this week so I don't get so far behind like last time a couple weeks ago. He told me not to worry about it since the new girl (who was supposed to replace me) is dedicated to him now, so there would be 2 of us this week. Well, he hasn't figured this out yet, but that's not the case. The new girl was told Friday by office manager that "Holly will just have to handle this side of the office by herself" and she assigned her to help the slow slacker secretary who can't keep up with her 2 guys.

So I expect a huge blowup tomorrow when he sees all his piles of work sitting there and the new girl tells him she's been pulled away from him. Should be interesting!

Isn't it nice to know it's not YOUR problem???? Just duck and let them handle it... I think it's probably a good time to go to the Ladies room...

Thanks guys! And Lisa....I didn't mean to not you as well! I appreciate all the support and energy, positive thoughts and prayers.

so, one thing I have been doing for myself is getting IV's of some nutrients to help decrease the inflammation. I got tired of having my RN friend come over 2-3x/week, so I started giving them to myself! I have gotten quite good at it and have impressed myself. Never thought I would be able to do that but I guess you can do anything when you want to get better!
