I'd be more likely to do April too because Tyler and I both do much better with cooler temps. But we'd be sad if it's too cold to swim, so that wouldn't work either. But April is better for school because I think it would be better to miss towards the end of the school year rather than the beginning. But I don't want to scare people away with the thought of Tyler being onboard again.

Holly, this might just be a good girlie trip??? ya think??? Not that I care if Tyler is on board, he can't sit on my loungers so I'm good

How did the other law firm react to your decline on their job offer? I just remember that you sent them an email. I don't recall their response. Is the Office Manager back to talking to you again yet?

Must say that I am probably dreaming too, but want to hold the res for now. If I go w/ DCL then I'll probably have to cxnl the Tortola cruise in 09.

Will need to still check out the other cruise line prices too once they come out. I really want to do DCL but $2000 is alot of MULLA!

Yep, the Baltic is out of the question on DCL. The TA with a one way airfare would be much more possible. I'm attracted to the Westbound because of ending up in the Caribbean for a few days Plus it gives more time to save up $$ from my Sept 09 cruise.

I was so intent on reading at least one book on our cruise and it didn't happen I've read 4 books since then though, while I've enjoyed the books...I'd choose another cruise over books anytime

Yeah, I know I desperately need a trip without him, but just would feel awful being on a Disney cruise without him, knowing how he's dreaming of going again. I'd cruise on another line without him like I did before and had a blast with my friend Cindy!

I'm not even for sure though, just sort of thinking about it.

How did the other law firm react to your decline on their job offer? I just remember that you sent them an email. I don't recall their response. Is the Office Manager back to talking to you again yet?

They never even responded. It's a good thing I made that decision though, because my first day at the new job, I would have had to leave at 11:30 to pick Tyler up when he got suspended.

Office Manager still isn't talking to me. I sent her an email today telling her I have to leave at 4:30 this Thursday for our parent/teacher conference at school and she responded with "That's fine." So I guess that would count as talking to me!

She DID take away my helper though. My fellow DISer co-worker is on the Magic this week, her first day off this vacation was last Friday and she comes back next Monday. Well, I asked the Energizer Bunny lawyer if he'd like me to make arrangements for Tyler to go to the after school care and we'd skip his stuff this week so I can just work until 5 while she's on vacation this week so I don't get so far behind like last time a couple weeks ago. He told me not to worry about it since the new girl (who was supposed to replace me) is dedicated to him now, so there would be 2 of us this week. Well, he hasn't figured this out yet, but that's not the case. The new girl was told Friday by office manager that "Holly will just have to handle this side of the office by herself" and she assigned her to help the slow slacker secretary who can't keep up with her 2 guys.

So I expect a huge blowup tomorrow when he sees all his piles of work sitting there and the new girl tells him she's been pulled away from him. Should be interesting!

I am seriously looking at this. This will most likely be much less expensive than the Baltic or Med. I cannot in good conscience spend so much money on the Baltic or Med. Of course, if they discounted some cabins later.... I might consider it. Both the TA are out for me because of the timing, as a college prof, I can be out during those times. But, the Christmas sailing might be just the thing to make me feel better. LOL.

Plus my son will be out of high school and my daughter will be in Middle school. They don't have midterm exams, I think, so if I need to miss a day or two, it will be no problem. I think.. LOL.

I have found the holiday cruises to be the most expensive. I think they have people stuck because of kids in school. At least for us that is the case. We have done Xmas and now upcoming NYE. I'm telling myself to stop cruising at the holidays and look at going without the kids. Sucks for them huh? What a mean mom...

Here's what I know...ALL 2010 cruises will go on sale Oct. 14. The Christmas cruise will be an 11 night leaving the 18th stopping in (not sure of order) St. Martin, Guadeloupe, Barbados, Martinique, St. Thomas and CC. I'm also not sure of where the days at sea fall. I was told that the prices will not be available until the first day of booking, the 14th. However, I'm going to try back in a day or two to see if maybe they have some pricing.

I'm off to work early again tomorrow. Then my daughter is meeting me and we are going on our annual birthday clothes shopping spree! I've lost track whether this is year 3,4,5 Her birthday was late Sept. My gift to her is a shopping spree...I've given her a couple of choices for gifts the last couple of years and she always chooses this I love it! She gets the clothes she likes and ones that fit...I get a few hours with her all to myself We also go out for lunch or dinner. Since we both work tomorrow, we have a dinner date

I'm afraid to think how many pages I'll have to get caught up on when I finally make my way back here Take care everyone!

I saw on another thread that the deposit special will be allowed on these cruises as the special doesn't end till the end of the month. Makes this even better to reserve Hubby said to go ahead and reserve the TA and we will figure it all out later.

Just popping on....I figure with the announcements today everyone would be chatting away. I have been swamped with work (current job and new one) as well as trying to heal myself! Phew, it's exhausting. I think the last time I checked in was on part 4 or 5

I hope everyone is doing great. I bet there are lots of plans being made for 2010....I think we are going to pass on any 2010 booking at the moment

we are 89.9% sure we will do it and we will only be in a lower category so even if something happens and we have to cancel it should not be a problem unless the cancelation policy has changed.

It probably would be warmer, but on the the plus side, April will be just so, so ... transatlantic. In the old movies, they are always sitting with lap rugs on deck on their way across the Atlantic.

We can just dress smartly for doing a turn around the deck.
