Come to CA so we can go to a tea house. Nan, what day are you coming now, friday night????

yup, depending on the school situtation we may take them out of class at noon to head down, then we'd arrive around 7pm Friday night. I'll call ya :flower3:

Ya, she made my words scroll and wrote the bubble wrap thing.

SHE didn't write the bubble wrap thing, you wrote it, she tagged it.

Jackie, we need to find a who is the Tag Fairy thread for these newbees, sheesh :rolleyes1

Can we get the cake from Sprinkles? I'm not a fan of donuts or donkey baseball :confused3 OK I've never heard of it

me neither, can you tell me of this Sprinkles place sounds like a good donut :thumbsup2

I can hear you saying "that's loooovely" when the guy drove into your tree :lmao:

I think I did :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

btw, it is loooooooovely now, I'm very sad to see the stump. It looks bare, dead, naked...so sad :sad1:

We have a baby Crape Mertle too, I'm hoping it will flower this year.

Thanks. Monica. I sent this to my friends at SS leaving tomorrow for the Wonder.

:lmao: :lmao:

:cutie:

I get that - I worry when leaving and the work isn't done too.

Do you want me to have her fired, I have a few friends in high places.

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2:

okay when we meet the principal tomorrow and I tell them the guys from Chicago and the drug people from LA said you better listen I will take my camera along for her expression. Priceless I'm sure

Best laid plans Paul is making an appointment with the principal for the afternoon we can go together. I can talk trash and he will be nice and clean it up and Molly will presto be in the right class :flower3:

off for the night. tomorrow we are going back to the Monterey Bay Aqurium for another round of Molly wants to scuba dive. well, really Wilson got brave and Molly friend Hannah wanted to do it, so Molly just gets to do it again since they are going.

Should be fun. Well fun for then. Not so much for me getting up at 7am :scared1:

hope all is well with everyone. I am trying to download pics but something seems wrong with the camera.

It's been a crazy couple of weeks. We had a RIF at work and now we have mandatory PTO days this and next Friday. We made it through the storm butit was a nerve wracking all the waiting. Of course we closed the office and schools were closed yesterday and really didn't need to be.

Samantha loves school....she got hit on the first day - her seatmate, leans over and says, hey I am Bernie, what's your name --- and he reminded me so much of one our frineds who is a big player....it was funny. hopefully if my camera cooperates I can post her pics.

Looking forward to seeing some photos. I miss seeing your girls.

Well, apparently my earlier threat of buying a new computer has persuaded mine to work. I swear, I have the goofiest computer around.

You have a menopausal computer?;)

Glad to see you checking in...I think I had it worse than you did this time around. Still raining on & off.

Glad Samantha is enjoying school so far....must say that when I read "she got hit on the first day"....I read that she got HIT, on the 1st day. Nothing like reading too fast :lmao:

That is what I thought too!!!

I had such a teacher in the 4th grade and the entire year was a nightmare for me.

.

I don't look back on my school days with any kind of pleasure at all. Wouldn't want to go back.:sad2:

Furthermore, if you can't change teachers and this teacher even dares to ridicule Molly, you can tell the teacher that if she wants ridicule, there are two pissy gay men who will fly in from Chicago, and provide her with some personal ridicule she will never forget.

(We have been to enough gay cocktail parties that we are fighting fit and street tough. She'll feel like she's been hit by a truckload of Vogue magazines.)

.

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I had my crappy teacher in 6th grade (hmmm, like Molly) and it did cause me damage. I know I can't let her stay in a toxic environment.

Sadly, her teacher for 5th grade was asked to leave the school. She was a veteran tech worker in MIS and Accounting and come 9/11 she had that re-evaulate life time and cashed in her retirement and went back to school so she could give back and started teaching 2 years ago. She is a wonderful teacher. But she is also a very STRONG VOICED WOMAN. Of course she and I get along great, but as in most public school environments a person that speaks their mind and voice is not highly thought of. She scared the crap out of the 2 1st year teachers, one of which quit after her first month, the replacement was also a mousy not strong woman. Thankfully Molly was placed in her core teachers class, and removed from the other one (the one that quit and her replacement) it was a long school year. So short answer her teacher isn't on campus anymore.

My plan will be to attack this on Friday, or perhaps with email to start.

Molly starts class on Monday. I'd hate to not have her moved before the first day, but I think that will likely be what happens here.:sad2:

I hope you can get this sorted quickly. I remember the feelings when our children had bad/difficult teachers. No options to get them changed in those days unfortunately.

Well I'm Ok then because she said she could run faster than you. I know I can out run an angry old geezer in her jammies :lmao: Don't ask me how I know because I'll never tell!

Hey, I work out you know!!!!! I have a Wii Fit!!!:rotfl2: I can give you a run for your money.:lmao:

Is that what you guys listen to at the old geezer's milk and cookies party?

Of course, what else do you think we do?

Do you want me to have her fired, I have a few friends in high places.

It's not what you know but who you know!!!!

It's hard to believe that next weekend is Labor Day weekend. Where has the time been flying?

Talk of kids going back to school, etc.

I think my biological calendar might just be about ready for Memorial Day, not Labor Day.

one night I think on a chat (the only one we had) I had to pee so bad, but I couldn't leave because you know me I had to get my .02 cents in everytime. I set Wilson up on my laptop as my standby and yelled to him from the bathroom. okay you had to be there, it was close to peeing in your pants.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I remember Will as your stand in :lmao:

Jon always wants to buy me fancy bags and jewelry because his friend's wives have them and I always tell him to take me on vacation. Our friends rarely go anywhere and that is not acceptable for me.

I'd rather have vacations than material things too.

Speaking of Disneyland, we found out last night that Jenna will be performing at DL with her dance company on February 23rd.

Dang, now we HAVE to go to Disneyland :rolleyes1

They're really putting a gun to your head and making you go, aren't they?? :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Congrats to Jenna.

If it was almost Memorial Day--then we'd be on the Magic :goodvibes

Watched the BBC/PBS 2007 version of Jane Austin's Persuasion on Tuesday (missed it earlier this year)......I think it's interesting that the lead men in that film and in the Keira Knightley P & P film both were the main character in the BBC's series MI-5 (known as The Spooks in the UK).

Mindless trivia for today :)

Marilyn, I agree with you about missing seeing pictures of V's girls. And I also miss seeing pictures of Leslie's girls too! Remember when Kayla broke her arm before the cruise and would try to hide her cast in pictures?

I said I was going to post this ages ago - sorry for the delay but I kept forgetting about it....

This is the famous Trunk Bay on St John.....
