Michelle answered and it's her story so I edited this out

Well, first off, that line from LOVE STORY is stupid. :sad2: Good friendships and good marriages require commitment and communication and "never saying you're sorry" is neither.

Secondly: Have your own ? what? :confused3

Jan :earsgirl:

Love story. The story that I somehow missed, and it looks like you're in the dark too. Michelle needs to SPILL!

You missed a bunch of posts I guess. This was a reference to the movie LOVE STORY.

She referred to using someone's credit card if he loves her. So I said something like " "LOVE" is never hiding your credit card." And she said she never understood that line.

She was referring to the line from the movie--you are too YOUNG to know the movie Holly!

The famous quote is "Love means never having to say you're sorry."

So I said that was a stupid statement. Friendships and marriages are based on commitment and communication and that phrase fits neither.

I decided to use some of my jewelry earnings to take Tyler to see Wicked in August. He's always loved Wizard of Oz so much that my mom bought the DVD for him for Christmas when he was 4, and we still watch it very often. When I went to Wicked last year with my mom, he wanted to know all about it. I never should have told him because he was nuts over wanting to see it! For those of you who've seen it, my mom thinks he'll be scared by the Wizard because she was intimidated. But I know him and know he won't be. So last year I was able to tell him every show was sold out and I told him maybe when it comes back next year (which is now). When we heard it was coming this year (he saw the billboards and advertising and recognized the sign), he started bugging me about it again. I hesitate to spend that much money on a show for a kid so young, but I know how much he'll love it, so when after Monday's successful jewelry show, that's what I decided.

The place where it's playing here does a lottery before every show. You have to get there 2 1/2 hours before the show, enter your name in a lottery drawing, and they'll pull a name out and the winner gets to purchase 2 seats close to the front for $25 each! So I'll try that a couple times and see if we get lucky, but if not, there are still lots of seats left for most of the August shows.

OK, it's time for bed. We haven't decided for sure what we'll do tomorrow, will just wing it, so I want to get plenty of sleep. Probably the aquatic park still, but I told Tyler he can pick.

Off to read in bed and play Monopoly (I've had a serious Monopoly addiction that started about a week ago). Goodnight all! :cloud9:

Tammy! Where the heck have you been hiding?! GREAT to see you here! How are things going? How are the kids? How's the new puppy?

Not hiding really, just haven't been on the boards as much. I am spending a lot of time house training the puppy and bunches of other stuff. I am having a procedure on Monday so I am getting the laundry done and cooking ahead so I can have some serious downtime for a few days. (I am having a D&C and a uterine ablation) Sorry if any guys are reading.

And yes, I am going on a cruise to Hawaii in December. I booked it a year ago when the dates were first released and just have a few months to go. When I booked it I was hoping to take my husband, but I didn't cancel because I think that we will be better if we can be away from home for the holidays. The cruise is over Christmas and New Years.

See you guys later.

Speaking of movies, I SOOOOOOOO wanted to see the X-Files movie last night after work but forgot! I was hooked on the show when it was on tv and still really miss it. Loved the first movie, and sure I'll love this one too. Hmmm.......might be able to catch it today before I pick Tyler up. Need to check movie times. :goodvibes

I totally understand - I'm trying to figure a way to fit it in Monday or Tuesday between packing, cleaning and loading the truck :scared1:

I have indeed been researching park times. It is open until midnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday when we are there. But there's nothing about parade times :confused3

Normally the parade is around 3:30 and 7:15 when the park is open until midnight.

So instead of a movie, we ended up going to the public library. After picking a couple books, Tyler was looking at the videos in the kids' section (he only scans the rows for the word "Disney") and pulled out a DVD about Oswald the Rabbit and told me he looks a lot like Mickey. I read the back and learned that Oswald was before Mickey. I'd never heard of him! He really wanted to get it, but already had one where MIckey and the gang to Prince and the Pauper, Three Little Pigs, etc., and he also wanted Blackbeard's Ghost, and I only let him pick 2 DVDs, so Blackbeard's Ghost won. It's a really old Disney movie that I've never heard of. I think it said it's from 1964. Well, we get home, fully intending to watch Blackbeard's Ghost before bed, and I realized I'd forgotten to get the little lock strip things taken off! We did the self-checkout, so I didn't even think of asking somebody to do that. :headache: They don't open until 1pm tomorrow, so we have to wait in suspese!

Oswald the Rabbit was before Mickey - Walt lost the rights to Oswald and that is when Mickey was created (on the train home from finding out about Oswald).

The Disney family does own the rights to Oswald again.

I think the best one is in the movie '"What's Up Doc" with Ryan Oniell and Barbara Streisand... The last line is her saying "Love means Never having to say your sorry" and he (who was IN Love Story) says "That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard" :lmao: :lmao:

Good to see you back here.. keep in touch - we miss you!!! :grouphug:

Another great day at Comic Con.

First thing this morning we got to see the season premier of Heroes! It was awesome - lots of interesting things.

Next was a panel on Lost - Matthew Fox was the only actor there and since they haven't started filming the next season yet no footage.

Then was Terminator: Salvation - this looks amazing, Christian Bale as John Conner in 2018 - the year Skynet becomes aware.

Disney and Pixar both showed a lot of clips from their upcoming films. We saw about 20 minutes of Bolt - love the hamster.

Pixar's next film is called Up - it's main character is a 78 year old man on a journey thru South America to see cliffs in Venezuela.

The cast of Mummy was next - I love Brendan Fraser. Followed by Death Race, Land of the Lost and Drag me to Hell (new Sam Raimi horror film).

Our final panel was Underworld and Pineapple Express. Underworld is a prequel going back to the story of Lucien and Victors daughter. Bill Nighy was there. For Pineapple Express most of the cast was there.

All in all another entertaining day.

I have an appointment at 10am tomorrow with the dealership that had the better price......................

plus...just talked to their internet sales guy....he's 60 and single.....we were laughing like crazy in our 5 minute phone call......

.

Sounds like a speed date Jackie. Go for a long test drive!!!

OK, I'm lost here. Who's the guy? Is this like a boyfriend? For how long? How did I miss this? Working in LA? What's that about?

All the questions we all wanted to ask!!!:lmao:

I NEED to know too!!!

Oh Jackie, wait till he sees your smile!! This may be the start of something. LOL.

Hey, hi!! So great to see you. I miss you. I can listen to that podcast to hear your voice again though!!!

What a great day! I haven't finished watching the last series of heroes yet so i won't ask about the new one.

Can't wait for the new Mummy film. We really enjoyed the other 2.

Actually the story of Mickey being created on the train ride home is sort of a myth of Walt's. I only learned this when I read the biography. Ub Iwerks was really the force behind Mickey Mouse.

I just finished a wonderful series of books called, "Inkheart" and "Inkspell" about the ability to read characters out of and into books. Brendan Fraiser is in in the soon to be released film of Inkheart, he plays Mo, the father. He was also the reader in the audio version of Inkspell, the second book, and did a really great job.

Normally the parade is around 3:30 and 7:15 when the park is open until midnight.

Lisa - Thanks for the info! I was a bit concerned that there were not times for the fireworks or the parades. Since this is Sukie's first time to DL and I have been there since about 1978, I wouldn't want to miss anything.

This all sounds cool Lisa! I love Brendan Fraser too. :goodvibes

Why is it, that during the week, I have a horrible time waking Tyler up and usually can't get him up until about 7:30, when he really should be up by 7, but today he gets up at 6:30?! Uggghhh......he came in my room and cheerily said, "Good morning mom! Is today a work & school day or no work?" When I told him no work, I was hoping he'd go back to sleep, but he's not one of those kids who can go back to sleep once he's up. But while he was eating breakfast and we were watching a movie, I did manage to doze for another hour on the couch and just asked him not to wake me until he hears the alarm go off. :thumbsup2

So, quickly saying hi to you all while he gets dressed for church.

GOOD MORNING/AFTERNOON ALL! :goodvibes

That is one of life's little mysteries Holly!!! Seems inbuilt into children I think.:lmao:

Now, in 10 years time you won't be able to get Tyler up in the mornings at all!!:rolleyes1

Oh Jackie, wait till he sees your smile!! This may be the start of something. LOL.

TAMMY! Hey girl, how are you? How are the kids? What's happening?

She got a free pair of jeans at Limited 2 (long story) ... she got the cutest dance outfit at Under Armour for $10. She got 3 shirts at Hollister Outlet for $20....Then we came home and watched a rented movie, Surbarban Girl.

All in all we had a really fun day together!!
