I can barely keep my eyes open today. My eyes feel like they have big bags underneath. Can't wait to get to bed. Tired of being so sleepy.

I'm exhausted and am going off to bed.

Since I don't know what's going on with this wedding. I just wanted to show you an example of they type of wedding cake I don't want:

castlecake03_jpg.jpg

That's too much cake for us ;)

Gaylean, please note that the cake itself is not overpowering, it is actually quite tasteful with a Cinderella theme. The balloons are the large part which you probably find overwhelming, but do remember, it IS Ian's wedding and he should have the final say.

Jan :rotfl:

Well, the sunscreen he got at the beginning of the day was useless because by the time they got to the waterpark it would have been time to reapply (I reapply after 2 hours). I don't know how he is today, but by the time I see him tomorrow, he'll be much better.

Of course it would have been better to reapply, but if he had nothing it would have been worse. That NO-AD stuff is supposed to be even salt-water proof and it does penetrate, so even when the white color is gone, the shine of it is still there, so I figure it is still working.

Jan :)

not sure. For now it's just school so that happens while they are in school so I'll deal with the job thing when it is in front of me.

Did you report in about what and when you would be taking classes and in my half-asleep state of Wednesday night I missed it? If so, I am sorry.

But

What is the plan Ma'am? :confused3

Best wishes as you pursue it, whatever it may be! :thumbsup2

Jan ;)

It's so weird because these guys are less than half my age. Maybe there is some alpha dog thing going on.

Today I told him I would come only if everyone who came to the party gave me a gift of not less than $20 in value. I pointed out to him that if he wanted me to act like his pal I would, and so this is the same thing I would require of a friend.

I sure hope this does not boomerang on you :scared:

I remember a couple times getting to be friends with the wife of one of Tom's staff and then that guy was let go. Boy was that wierd to see those ladies in the store. I would try not to and if I saw them first, I would go the other way.

Presents puts a whole new spin on it. :sad2:

?? :confused3 Would you actually go to a party expecting all the guests to bring gifts when it is not your Birthday, farewell or shower? :confused3

Jan :rolleyes1

Thanks, I'm so glad they are there. Many years ago, when I was a sprite a group at our church bought the land and created the camp. It's a good place in my heart for all my childhood memories and some strong adult ones too. Paul and I visited camp the night we got engaged. My sister-in-law was a cook there for many years and that night I had to tell her our good news in person. It is a special memory.

Special many ways!

Jan :)

Good Luck. I'm thinking I will have to get a real job soon too but I hope I can be off when they are off. My old boss just had a baby and he hasn't said anything but I think his wife might be taking over my job so she can stay home. My income is just extra but it sure was nice to have. I need to do something before 2010 or I won't be on that trip either.

What did you do?

Jan :confused3

That's what I told him ... of course it goes without saying that we have expressly said, no gifts.

Speaking of which .... considering I'm turning 52 next week, should I give up on the dream that my real parents are going to drive up in the Silver Cloud Rolls and give me my birthright?

As an adolescent, I used to tell my parents that I knew they were not my real parents ... my real parents were rich and left me with simple and humble people to build character, and I would reward them when they came to claim me and I received my birthright.

It's a wonder I made it through my adolescence alive.

If you are going to reward them when they come to give you your birthright, it sounds like you better get that Silver Cloud soon to give to them when they pass over your Birth Certificate :rotfl:

Hi everyone!

Just checking in to say hello since I had my laptop.

Really have no time to catch up, and regret that I can't be here very often.

My Browns are right now beating the Jets + Favre.

Alex took the tickets and went to the game with a friend who is home. Preseason so I am OK with that.

Good to see you here.
Sorry we did not connect on the cruise.
Sorry you are so busy.

Our Expected-granddaugher will be named SOPHIA as I understand it. :goodvibes

Jan :thumbsup2

Lots of catching up to do once again

Does anyone remember when I first posted, sometime late last fall I believe, about my friend's grandson being diagnosed with cancer? He is 6 yrs old and they removed a tumour but then found spots on his liver and lungs? He's been going through chemo treatment, along with some radiation treatments ever since. He only has about a month of treatments left, I believe. He has done so well :goodvibes but it has not been an easy year for his family. The spots have shrunk, and some have dissappeared altogether! He is having another MRI soon and I know they would really appreciate any prayers you can send their way for Micah. His mom and dad and brother and sister were supposed to go to a special camp for kids with cancer, but his white blood cells are non existant at the moment so the risk of infection is too high. On a happy note, they have been told Micah can submit a request to Make-a wish foundation for 2009, he has chosen a trip to WDW followed by a 3-4 night cruise!!! Would be grateful for any pixie dust that could be sent his way :grouphug: Thanks!

Kathe

Prayers and :pixiedust: Pixie Dust and  hugs rom Indianapolis for Micah!

Keep us posted.
Jan :)

Here's another cake we don't want:

i-have-youll-beat.jpg

I sure understand--way to small and boring :sad2:

Nothing can compare to the GRANDEUR of the balloon sculpture. Too bad we cannot figure out how to make something like that out of cake.

In case you want to compare, I repost the balloon sculpture here. The one that is trying to make the small, unassuming Cinderella cake look impressive.

NAN--KELLY, don't forget, it is these cakes he does not like, but the ballooon sculpture is the THING. Perhaps a balloon one could frame the chuppah or even BE the chuppah and then a duplicate MADE OF CAKE could serve the guests at the RECEPTION.

Jan

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

BTW, they definately had the 2 for the price of one on this cruise too :woohoo: ;)

Kathe

NOW you tell me...:sad2:

Seriously, how did you find out? Was it posted somewhere?
Jan

So Marilyn is gone for the weekend, where is everybody else? Working, I suppose.

I'm going to my 20-year high school reunion tomorrow night!

Jan ;)

nope not yet, I was sidetracked, had to do the sign off on mom's house wed and yesterday Paul & I had are ride in the speedster to visit a client in Petaluma and friends in Napa. It was a lovely day. I have a cute picture to post of us on the GG bridge, later I will. Shortly I head out to get the kiddos. My girlfriend and I are bringing her kids and we are going to play the day at the Boardwalk then Olympic BBQue at my sisters.

I did get a reply from my friend who is a prof at SJSU, he is going to check out the ground for me and offer some help in short cuts, so that's good.

I'll post when I have more news.:thumbsup2

Jan I think there might be room for you on the decorations commitee. Kelly and I will talk and see if we want to worry Ian with that thought :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Saturday we have a beach day planned with the kids elementary school friends. I think nothing for Sunday, Wow that's a nice idea, nothing planned!!!

Since I'm the only one here I'm going to try for a whole page just to claim my fame....
