Hi everyone!

Just checking in to say hello since I had my laptop.

Really have no time to catch up, and regret that I can't be here very often.

My Browns are right now beating the Jets + Favre.

Alex took the tickets and went to the game with a friend who is home. Preseason so I am OK with that.
Hi John, so good to see you here! How've you been? How are Amy & Sophia? How's Manuel's recovery going? Your dad?

Nice to hear from you, John. Hope all is well.

Lots of catching up to do once again

Does anyone remember when I first posted, sometime late last fall I believe, about my friend's grandson being diagnosed with cancer? He is 6 yrs old and they removed a tumour but then found spots on his liver and lungs? He's been going through chemo treatment, along with some radiation treatments ever since. He only has about a month of treatments left, I believe. He has done so well :goodvibes but it has not been an easy year for his family. The spots have shrunk, and some have dissappeared altogether! He is having another MRI soon and I know they would really appreciate any prayers you can send their way for Micah. His mom and dad and brother and sister were supposed to go to a special camp for kids with cancer, but his white blood cells are non existant at the moment so the risk of infection is too high. On a happy note, they have been told Micah can submit a request to Make-a wish foundation for 2009, he has chosen a trip to WDW followed by a 3-4 night cruise!!! Would be grateful for any pixie dust that could be sent his way :grouphug: Thanks!

Hey John, glad you stopped in. Cheri and I were just talkling at dinner Monday night, wondering how you all were doing!

Hi John :) Hope everyone's keeping well!? I'm afraid I'm not much of a sport's fan.....except when the Olympics are on! I'm so excited to be able to be home and hopefully get to watch a bit more of the coverage this time around! :thumbsup2

I do remember Micah. I'm glad some of the spots have gone away, that's amazing! Definitely sending prayers and good wishes and pixie dust to Micah and his family. I can't imagine all they're going through. :grouphug: Very cool about his MAW request though!

Well, I went to sleep shortly after 8, then a friend called and woke me up around 9:30. We had a long chat and now I'm headed back to bed I think.

crap I wish I knew this before I placed that non-refundable deposit :rolleyes1

Here's another cake we don't want:

We had a two for the price of one on drinks on one cruise--if they did it on the PC Crossing, I missed it--and I got two flutes of MARTINI and ROSSI ASTI in Rockin Bar D during a scavenger hunt game. I carried one to dinner. How is that different from filling the glass in one's stateroom and carrying it to dinner?

However, if you have your moonshine in an earthenware jug resting on your shoulder so you can catch a swig as you walk to Palo, maybe that would be considered rude. :confused3

But is it rude to be carrying that jug?
or is it rude to be swigging as you walk along? :drinking1:
or is it rude to lose your grip and drop it on someone's kid? :scared1:

Jan

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

BTW, they definately had the 2 for the price of one on this cruise too :woohoo: ;)

what's up my cruising peeps?

Samamtha had her K assessment today....I took her to my office before hand just because....it was quite funny...everyone was oh she's going into second grade right? Ummmm no!

then poor Haley, my dad sent S a Disney back pack...now Haley wants a packpack (as she calls them)

anyway hope everyone is well, I am on a not sleeping binge,,,,,,,,,,,,,a bad thing.

I think anytime anybody is unsure of a kids age they guess high. Did Haley get a packpack for her stuff? Or does she have to wait until she gets to go to school?

Looking at it from the other side, John had 2 staff regularly wasting their days on the Internet. He slowly had to devise ways of getting them back to work!!!:rolleyes1

I can totally understand why businesses restrict internet access. All it takes is a few people completely abusing it and then they have to take it away. One of the office girls where I work had started spending the entire day on facebook, she suffered withdrawal with they cut it off :lmao: :lmao: she actually ended up buying a computer for at home so she could get access again!

Hi Ken. Nice to see you popping in. Hope the toothache clears up. or you get treatment!!!

Don't be a stranger.

He's getting treatment (I need him to be out of pain so he can do work;) !) He's had appointment #1 for assessment and is now waiting to get in to get it fixed. Unfortunately our dentist is closed for 2 weeks!

Poor Tyler got horribly sunburned yesterday. The field trip with the school was to a water park from 9am to 5:30pm. I sent sunscreen with him (the kind Jan let me try on the cruise that doesn't cause him to break out - NoAd). I stressed the necessity for him to have it and also to have it reapplied frequently because he's so fair. Tyler says a teacher put some on him before they left the school in the morning and THAT'S IT. I normally don't burn, but even I would get burned after that many hours in a pool in the sun! I learned all this because his dad e-mailed me this morning telling me how furious he is with the school and stepmom really lit into the teachers this morning when she dropped Tyler off. She left Solarcaine (or somthing similar for sunburns) with the teacher and told them to put it on whenever he says it hurts. He didn't sleep most of the night because it was so sore, and that was with having cold & wet towels on to cool him. :sad2: Poor kid.

That's crazy:mad: ! Especially at a water park - they should no better! Did he at least have a T-shirt on? Our daycare makes all the kids wear t-shirts with swimsuits, because it makes sunscreen so much easier.

I heard the same thing....and i'm thinking westbound too. Time change should be working to OUR advantage! Think of all those late nights at rocking bar d!

Wouldn't a transatlantic be fun - I hope they do 2 sleepovers. By then DD3 will be 5 and old enough for a sleepover. That way Ken doesn't have to go back to the room and stay out dancing and drinking!

That's what I told him ... of course it goes without saying that we have expressly said, no gifts.

Speaking of which .... considering I'm turning 52 next week, should I give up on the dream that my real parents are going to drive up in the Silver Cloud Rolls and give me my birthright?

As an adolescent, I used to tell my parents that I knew they were not my real parents ... my real parents were rich and left me with simple and humble people to build character, and I would reward them when they came to claim me and I received my birthright.

It's a wonder I made it through my adolescence alive.

Imagine how I felt when my parents use to tell me that I should find new parents because they were going to find new kids.

Its amazing the things kids and parents tell each other! And yet its all done with love

Lots of catching up to do once again

They had it a couple of times:thumbsup2 . I know I ended up with 2 DOD's at once because of it - can't remember what they were though. :confused3 something with fruit juice and rum :confused3

I can't remember either, but I did get to keep the plastic DCL Mexican Riviera theme cups though for one of them :) These were not offered at the same time of day unfortunately...it would have been nice to predict when this was going to be offered ;)

Oh, My! When Patrick gets mad at me, and tells me he wants to "Do everything my own way!" I ALWAYS tell him to put an ad in the paper for a new mom! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

When he wants to go somewhere, and Chuck and I don't, then we tell him "Just take the van and go!", and he says "I don't have a driver's license!":rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It's all in fun

They use to tell me to go play on the freeway too. Of course we lived really far from a freeway but we live really close now and I have to be carefull not to tell my kids that :scared1:

Actually, they were mostly talking about people briinging in one glass (instead of a whole bottle) to avoid the corkage fee. I see nothing wrong with that....they're only having ONE glass NOT the whole bottle at dinner. Now if they were having the kids each carry in a glass, or if everyone had one in each hand....that's pushing it! :lmao:

.

Now you're making me feel bad :sad1:

Jon's team is the Browns too but Favre isn't playing and the Jets are winning now :lmao:
