KELLY--NAN!! Note, Ian does not like this CAKE, but apparently the balloon sculpture is fine. Perhaps it would surround the chuppah?

I'm exhausted and am going off to bed.
Since I don't know what's going on with this wedding. I just wanted to show you an example of they type of wedding cake I don't want:

That's too much cake for us![]()
Well, the sunscreen he got at the beginning of the day was useless because by the time they got to the waterpark it would have been time to reapply (I reapply after 2 hours). I don't know how he is today, but by the time I see him tomorrow, he'll be much better.
not sure. For now it's just school so that happens while they are in school so I'll deal with the job thing when it is in front of me.
It's so weird because these guys are less than half my age. Maybe there is some alpha dog thing going on.
Today I told him I would come only if everyone who came to the party gave me a gift of not less than $20 in value. I pointed out to him that if he wanted me to act like his pal I would, and so this is the same thing I would require of a friend.
Thanks, I'm so glad they are there. Many years ago, when I was a sprite a group at our church bought the land and created the camp. It's a good place in my heart for all my childhood memories and some strong adult ones too. Paul and I visited camp the night we got engaged. My sister-in-law was a cook there for many years and that night I had to tell her our good news in person. It is a special memory.
Good Luck. I'm thinking I will have to get a real job soon too but I hope I can be off when they are off. My old boss just had a baby and he hasn't said anything but I think his wife might be taking over my job so she can stay home. My income is just extra but it sure was nice to have. I need to do something before 2010 or I won't be on that trip either.
That's what I told him ... of course it goes without saying that we have expressly said, no gifts.
Speaking of which .... considering I'm turning 52 next week, should I give up on the dream that my real parents are going to drive up in the Silver Cloud Rolls and give me my birthright?
As an adolescent, I used to tell my parents that I knew they were not my real parents ... my real parents were rich and left me with simple and humble people to build character, and I would reward them when they came to claim me and I received my birthright.
It's a wonder I made it through my adolescence alive.
Hi everyone!
Just checking in to say hello since I had my laptop.
Really have no time to catch up, and regret that I can't be here very often.
My Browns are right now beating the Jets + Favre.
Alex took the tickets and went to the game with a friend who is home. Preseason so I am OK with that.
Lots of catching up to do once again![]()
Does anyone remember when I first posted, sometime late last fall I believe, about my friend's grandson being diagnosed with cancer? He is 6 yrs old and they removed a tumour but then found spots on his liver and lungs? He's been going through chemo treatment, along with some radiation treatments ever since. He only has about a month of treatments left, I believe. He has done so wellbut it has not been an easy year for his family. The spots have shrunk, and some have dissappeared altogether! He is having another MRI soon and I know they would really appreciate any prayers you can send their way for Micah. His mom and dad and brother and sister were supposed to go to a special camp for kids with cancer, but his white blood cells are non existant at the moment so the risk of infection is too high. On a happy note, they have been told Micah can submit a request to Make-a wish foundation for 2009, he has chosen a trip to WDW followed by a 3-4 night cruise!!! Would be grateful for any pixie dust that could be sent his way
Thanks!
Kathe
Here's another cake we don't want:

In case you want to compare, I repost the balloon sculpture here. The one that is trying to make the small, unassuming Cinderella cake look impressive.Since I don't know what's going on with this wedding. I just wanted to show you an example of they type of wedding cake I don't want:

Did you report in about what and when you would be taking classes and in my half-asleep state of Wednesday night I missed it? If so, I am sorry.
But
What is the plan Ma'am?![]()
Best wishes as you pursue it, whatever it may be!![]()

I sure understand--way to small and boring![]()
Nothing can compare to the GRANDEUR of the balloon sculpture. Too bad we cannot figure out how to make something like that out of cake.

NAN--KELLY, don't forget, it is these cakes he does not like, but the ballooon sculpture is the THING. Perhaps a balloon one could frame the chuppah or even BE the chuppah and then a duplicate MADE OF CAKE could serve the guests at the RECEPTION.

I'm going to my 20-year high school reunion tomorrow night!
So Marilyn is gone for the weekend, where is everybody else? Working, I suppose.
