Ok... Just a shout out to everyone...

I'm changing my relationship status on Facebook because my friends son has joined Facebook and if he see's the status he'll know what's up..

ALSO...

PLEASE DON'T MENTION YOU KNOW WHO ON THERE!!!!!

(Otherwise... I'm screwed... ) :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared:

Who?

Deb... We are here for you... Don't give up... the benefits far outweigh the desire...

Thanks Michelle, I'm definitely not giving up that easily. I'll fight it to the end. I hope I can do it. I keep going over the good reasons not to go back in my mind every day. Hope it's enough.

I traipsed the 1/2 mile home from the train today on the icy streets. It wasn't all that bad.

I did have a rather interesting experience in the elevator today at work (keep in mind it was snowing, and icy and slushy out).

I go down to the lobby with a colleague to Caribou Coffee to get a nice warm bevvy.

We get on the elevator, for a moment it's the two of us, and two women. They've come in from the street and are bundled up.

Then a guy gets on the elevator, in a light jacket, shorts, barefoot, wearing cheap rubber flip-flops.

I mean not only is it cold out, but there is a lot of slush. I can't imagine the ice and snow, not to mention how caustic the ice melter is that that spread on the streets.

He gets off the elevator on a floor before ours and I mumbled in a stage whisper, "I think they invented shoes in around 500 BC." The two women broke up.

We are still endeavoring to keep our heat down, so tonight I think it is time for our fluffy, polar fleece footie pajamas.

Feel free to use my shoulder any time.

Thanks Ian. I think you would understand it best because of Weight Watchers. It's the same thing as staying on a diet for the rest of your life. You've got to have the willpower to stay the distance and never cheat. It's not so easy, but worthwhile if you succeed.

I however have no experience in rearing no youngin's that's Sukie's department.

hahahahaha.....Sukie and John....John is the reason why we have the grandkid in the first place. hahaha!

Now, that would have been worth paying money to see. I can't imagine how the man managed to travel like that without getting frostbite or very severely sick. I would have talked to him about it and asked him if he was crazy.

I am going to post some pictures from our cruise. I hope you don't mind. We had such a wonderful week!!
Lisa

Post away Lisa! I'll check them all out when I get home from work.

Ian....don't you love the Chicagoland WACKOS?!

On our second day (double dip) to Castaway Cay we had a Christmas Tree waiting for us. At the base of the tree were presents, snowmen and snow!!

On the way to the beach, there were many beautiful decorations.

It's the same thing as wanting chocolate or pumpkin pie or champagne or mickey bars.....you certainly don't need it, but you definitely want it. Why can't people diet and never cheat for the rest of their lives. Why can't they eat 1200 calories a day and that's all. Because it's no fun! You certainly want what you don't need.

After three days the addiction was gone but I have been fighting every day for a whole year. It's like someone taking away your favorite food and telling you that you can never eat it again for the rest of your life. You'll want it more. That's why it's hard. Then imagine everyone in the room drinking champagne in front of you every single day all day long and you could never even have one sip ever again. That's what it's like. If you know they're having it right outside the door and the champagne bottle is full and lying around within reach....you're going to have to muster all your will power not to pick it up and partake with the others. Then do it all day every day forever. Not so easy.

I'm sorry if I upset you  I know it's hard because I have gone through it with family. I don't have the desire to smoke but I do have the desire to eat the bad things and drink champagne. It is worth it to me. I thought smoking wasn't worth it to you. I will tell you that I had to give up all dairy products the entire time I was pregnant and nursing. That was about four years all together and everyone knows how much I love cheese and I drink at least 2 glasses of milk a day. It was hard. It was worth it to me to stop. And of course I wasn't drinking that entire time as well. It's possible if you want it. Again, I'm sorry.

We saw Paula a lot on the cruise. She was in our dining room. She wanted to know how everybody was!!

Do you remember Putu? He was the server next to us and was our server in Europe. We saw him a lot as well.

We had Romeo. He said he has been on the ship since Day 1. Has anyone had him?

My dear, dear friends.....I'm going to need all the help that I can get. Tom told us that he smokes cigarettes and he has no intention of quitting. He'll be 18 in April. We're not going to tell him that he can't smoke here....just not in front of me.....just like John. My problem is that I still fight it because John smokes again. It's going to be an even harder fight knowing that two people in the house smoke and I'm the only one who does not. I don't know if I'm strong enough to fight both people influencing me. I really don't think so. Still, I will give it my best. I know that I'm coming up on my one year anniversary date of quitting and that will help me lock it in, but I don't know if I can keep it going. We'll see.
Deb, any time you start craving a cigarette, just pop on here for somebody to tell you NO. There's usually somebody around for support. This is going to be very hard, but we all know you can do it! :grouphug:

Oh Lisa, look how much Annie has changed!
Those pictures are great.

Formal Night (the last one the big kids had just about had it with Gretchen!!)
