Oh you are so tempting me! We're taking Tara for her birthday to St. Croix, so we'll be sailing just after the new year. I think we need to plan for another trip somehow...Tara & Annie would have a great time again. Looking at those pictures I'm thinking Trevor would LOVE Gretchen :)

The Christmas tree outside Beuna Vista matched Annie's formal dress!!

Great pictures Lisa! Glad you had such nice weather! :goodvibes

Here is Daniel when he dressed up as Dolly Parton in Rockin Bar D. I was asleep, but all the kids he was hanging with said they had a great time!!

Great pictures Lisa. Looks like you all had a gret time. Your children look wonderful, and Annie is becoming very much like you.

For Will & Mickey (my friends that I know a bunch of you met)...

Just got off the phone w/ Will...he wanted to wait until I was back from VB to tell me all of this....

Will's grandmother passed away from a heart attack on Thanksgiving Day.
Mickey's dad (also sailed w/ us on the PC cruise) also had a heart attack on Thanksgiving Day & has not regained conciousness. He's brain dead. They took out the breathing tube today, and now they're just waiting for him to stop breathing. They are in Houston.

Will & Mick had been in NYC for the holiday...they watched the parade & went to Letterman & then found out the news.

Thanks.

My dear, dear friends.....I'm going to need all the help that I can get. Tom told us that he smokes cigarettes and he has no intention of quitting. He'll be 18 in April. We're not going to tell him that he can't smoke here....just not in front of me.....just like John. My problem is that I still fight it because John smokes again. It's going to be an even harder fight knowing that two people in the house smoke and I'm the only one who does not. I don't know if I'm strong enough to fight both people influencing me. I really don't think so. Still, I will give it my best. I know that I'm coming up on my one year anniversary date of quitting and that will help me lock it in, but I don't know if I can keep it going. We'll see.

 you can do it Deb! We all have faith in you:thumbsup2

Hi all. Just got the internet set up. I've skimmed through as we have places to go!!!!!:lmao:

Great pictures everyone, thanks for posting.

Glad you're having fun!! See you at Mousefest next week! We're really looking forward to the Dis meet Sat night :cool1:

That is sad Monica, and for Mickey waiting for his dad to pass is so hard. Am I right in thinking his mom was on the cruise too? You must be feeling pretty upset too.

Hi Marilyn,

Yep-it was Mom & Raizin (both of his parents). I go through periods to crying & stopping. I also hate being so far away and can't do anything for them other than prayers.

I am so lucky, you have no idea!!

What are you doing up??

I am sorry Monica. I will pray for your friends.

One day at a time, Deb. One day at a time. :thumbsup2
And sometimes
One minute at a time.

Tell Tom about your struggles. Tell him about my Great Uncle who died yesterday of lung cancer. Don't TELL him what he has to do, ASK him to help you stick to your resolve to not smoke. Remind him that when he smells of smoke and has cigarettes around it makes your commitment harder.:scared:

 BUT
Remember :woohoo:
:cool1: You have made a commitment to yourself!! :yay: To go for HEALTH in 2009 just like you did in 2008.:cheer2:

You can do it, you have proven you can

Deb  I do know that 'out of site, out of mind' works for me. The only time I ever think about having a cig (and it's been many years since I smoked), is when I'm sitting with someone who is smoking. The smell of smoke in the air or on someone has the opposite affect. You (and John) must insist that they don't smoke in front of you.

AND....if they are outside sharing a smoke...no laughing and having fun while they are doing it!:lmao:

RIGHT-O!! It is punishment time, they are cold out there and suffering and they need to think about it. If they want to stop the punishment, they can stop smoking! and come in where it is WARM!
