Goodness, I first read that as Sandi AND her grandfather passed away!! So however sad it is, just the grandfather isn't as bad as I first thought!!! How hard for Sandi though at this time.
Marilyn, I just watched the QM2 leaving NY harbor on the webcam. The front of the ship looks like it has a face with a smile. It's so cute. It's definitely not boxy. You will have a wonderful time aboard her.
Just for clarification, the QM2 is cute looking with it's smiley face....but the magic and the wonder and even the dream and the fantasy look so much prettier. They are sleeker and I love love love the two smokestacks with mickey on them and I love the mickey colors. But if you can't do mickey....the QM2 looks good too.
I know what you mean. All are copies of the original ocean liners and are so much nicer than the more modern designs, even the Fantasy and Dream which have that lovely shape spoilt by a few too many decks, and looks top heavy. I still much prefer the smaller ships but if anyone was to pay for me to cruise on the ugliest ship afloat I wouldn't complain!!!

I second the motion. And if they pack something you do not want or need in Florida, give it away down there. They have to have Salvation Army or Good Will or such. 
. I think he just thinks do it when we can because who knows what might happen. Well he came up with the single westbound crossing as it was great price and we have played around with what to do like flying down to Orlando for a file and flying home from there but the flights are just ridiculous and it all made the holiday awfully expensive. So we started looking at all sorts of last minute cruise deals that might take us to warmer places and also land based apartments but that meant me cooking more as normal eating out can be difficult these days and we don't allay want to set off out to eat either. But then this one with the return crossing too popped up this morning. So, no heat but still so much better than being at home and of course eating is easier all round.
