I'm on my new ultrabook. I'm getting used to it and I'm loving it. I actually have keys where I can see the letters. They had all rubbed off on my old laptop. The biggest difference is the size. This one is skinny and little. Not as small as the netbook, the screen is the same width as my old laptop, but this one is shorter heightwise. AND it's fast. I like that.

I'm not so sure I would like that. Christmas has to be cold and snow and evergreens that piney smell. I'm going to have a hard time putting christmas lights on a palm tree in Florida. I would have a hard time putting up a white tree. The blue lights should look pretty though. At least you have a small green one that you can put up too so that you'll have both. I wonder what made Tyler think of wanting a white tree?

He's always seen them in stores and just wanted something different. My little decorator likes to keep up with trends, LOL!

How easily I forget that our Tyler is so fashion forward. He then naturally would be concerned with decorator trends. He's just way too funny.

So take some pictures of the white and blue tree so we can all see it. I'm sure it will look just fine and it will make Tyler happy. That's what counts! Good mom!!

Laundry is drying, suitcase is packed except for the clothes in the dryer, bills are paid, script renewals are ordered. I'm exhausted! But at least I feel more ready now. I can chill this weekend and get lots of rest.

I'm working on tv recordings now. I'm trying to watch as much as possible so I can clear out my dvr. I only have 35% available right now. I have a week's worth of recordings to add while I'm away. I'm going to need more room than that.

got the call...

Closing is monday!!!

Mom is making a list of things to splurge on.. so far it includes a couple of extra boxes of mac and cheese and lamb chops!!! :lmao::lmao:

He told me tonight that since we both like snow so much (well, me more than him), he thinks it looks like a tree totally covered in snow, and thinks the blue lights make it look even more wintery. So we'll see! We'll be putting it up and decorating over the weekend and will of course share pics. :thumbsup2

This kid drove me absolutely bonkers tonight. He had to touch everything in every single store, and just about everything he touched created a dominos effect, knocking down a few things and then when I made him pick the things up, more would get knocked over in the process. Almost EVERY time. :headache: I kept yelling at him to just stand next to the cart and quit touching everything. I swear, I was about to duct tape his arms to his sides. This rarely happens to us, usually he's my helper, so he was just a bit "off" today. Uggghhhh......Probably partly because he got up before 5am today, and with the lack of sleep it probably took every ounce of his being to get through the school day, so I think he it was just sort of a release. But I wanted to kill him, LOL! So then since I was clearly being driven crazy and pretty unhappy, he felt like I don't love him anymore so he felt worse. Good grief, I was so happy when it was bedtime! Tomorrow he'll be back on track hopefully! :thumbsup2

YAY Hooray!!!!! So it's a new roof for Christmas. Good deal!!! Every month should be easier too since you won't have to pay a mortgage anymore. The QM did real good.

I can see those little wheels turning in his head right now. I get it. Snow with wintery blue colored lights. It will be beautiful. Can't wait to see the pictures.

A lack of sleep makes anyone batty, but it must be especially hard for Tyler. He was probably trying his hardest. Let the boy get a good night's rest and sleep. He behaves much better that way.

This weekend is going to be spent getting ready for Florida. We have one santa stop to make later today or tomorrow....me and John will go together. Then John is cooking pepper steak tonight. YUM! That's the first meal that he cooked for me when we started dating. It was better than my mom's and my mom was an excellent cook. I knew immediately that John was a keeper.

The rest of the weekend will be focused on the final packing for me and getting started for John. OH and Football on Sunday.....naturally.

Yeah he slept until 8am today which is about 2 hours late for him. He never sleeps in. I'd say only about 5 times in his life so far, no exaggerating. Today was still a rough day. Just a rough week all around, most definitely from the adjustment getting back to the school routine after the holiday break. It will be really bad for him the 2 weeks before Christmas because the anticipation throws him all off, and then the week after Christmas break is rough getting readjusted again to the school routine. Holidays are rough for kids like him . I just have to remember that.

Not very happy tonight...

the problems with my sister are getting to me... sucks especially when it happens around the holidays.

I need a hug...

Sorry Michelle. Consider yourself hugged.:hug::hug:

Exhausted. Busy all weekend. Decorating most of yesterday before and after movie and dinner with one of Tyler's friends and her mom. Church today, then had to run out to a store, then put up more outside decorations, then we helped a friend move (his teacher he had for grades 1,2,3,4). After Tyler's dad picked him up I spent the evening on the couch, watching TV and stuffing myself. :thumbsup2
