Well, the guy came and went for the house appraisal.. I think it went ok. Just hoping it's over soon.

Well.. after having those problems with my sister.. she unfriended me on FB... :sad2::sad2:

Unvelievable...

my computer stopped working.. luckily i have a friend who does IT work and helped me reset it.

those few hours of withdrawal were tough... :rotfl:

I'm glad for you that the appraisal is done....one more step closer to getting that roof done.

I can't believe that Claire unfriended you. What happened to unconditional love. You're not hurting her so why is she being so negative to you. This is going beyond mean. Don't worry coz we're not going anywhere. We are here for you even if your own sister chooses not to be. She is just so wrong. She will come to regret it one day.

When my laptop broke down and we had to take it to Staples to get fixed, I used the netbook and still went through withdrawal. I know exactly what you mean. At least you have an IT friend. That's great. Glad he helped out.

I just bought a new ultrabook on Amazon. It was only $500. John cloned it to my laptop and mostly everything copied over. I have my pictures back, but none of my email contacts. It doesn't matter much since everyone is on FB.

I have one week until we leave for Florida. What was I thinking going away on Turkey Day weekend. I didn't realize that by the time I got home, I would only have ten days until leaving again. I have not recouperated from Montauk yet and I have to do laundry and pack. I'm so not ready for this. I think I'll just grab my suitcase from my Canada cruise and use everything still packed in there. hahaha. What's the current weather in Florida? Is it warm or cool? I packed both for Canada, so I should be okay for Florida in December.

I was too tired yesterday so I didn't cook. I slept all day to recover from Montauk. I didn't take any steroids since it was only four days and I'll be going away for a full week soon so I'll need them for that.

So today I have to cook the meat loaf since it's all defrosted. I feel like I could sleep all day again. But I can't afford the time to do that.

Before Montauk, I did a mile a day on my exercise bike....and I did it everyday, at least a mile.

Since Montauk, I'm only doing a half a mile to 3/4. I'm too tired to do anymore. But I'll work it back up again. At least I'm getting on the bike everyday.

John is playing lotto today. He asked me what we would do if we win it. I said we would still move to Florida, but we would move into a different neighborhood. I would definitely live in Golden Oaks....thanks Shell for telling me about it. But we would still do what we're doing without winning, moving down to Florida. So we must be doing the right thing.

I think my sister's problems are hormonal...

and sometimes she's just a you know what....

I'm feeling kind of sad this season because there seems to be a lot of problems going on in the family right now.

My brother and sister in law have all but disowned May because she wouldn't give up the ironman and move home. They cut off the help for her college just before her senior year and now they want her to come home and get a job to pay off the loans. Nice, except that without the degree it will be tough...

And with my sister...

I feel like I should just duck and get through it & not get hit with anything.. but I'll be a target soon enough because I'm backing Maysie all the way...

Michelle, I'm glad May has you! :thumbsup2

Deb, I hope you're able to get somewhat rested up before you leave for FL.

thanks Holly..

I've always said.. I have 5 kids... I just didn't give birth to them...

Funny.. when I saw Em not long ago.. we were talking about the baby coming and I said then I'll have 6 nieces and nephews... and she said NO!!! You have 5 nieces and nephews and 1 great niece.. she's very propritary... :rotfl:

& yes.. I love it!

This is May and Scott right after her race... She doesn't even look like she broke a sweat!!!

got the approval today on the reverse mortgage...

so I guess we're getting a roof for Christmas!!!! :santa:

(and hopefully a 4 slice toaster...) :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

So Tyler has asked if we can get a white Christmas tree with blue lights this year. I'm not sure what I think of this. I think they look pretty when we seem them on display, but am not sure I'd like to see it all season in my house. But I'm leaning towards it because it will be interesting to try something different. And I have a small green tree I can set up on my kitchen counter in case I need to see a green tree.

I saw one with pink lights on it... :cool2: was the only way to look at it...

WOW Shell.....it's a good thing I don't live in your family. I would definitely be the black sheep. None of it makes any logical sense. YES your sister is hormonal and let her get over herself. BUT WHY would they want to take May out of her senior year at school? That makes no sense at all whatsoever. AND why is everybody in everybody else's lives? Me and my brother respect each other and let each other live the way we want to. We support each other's decisions. You have a large family and they all seem to sabatoge each other instead of coming together. Your mom needs to smack them all into reality.

OK I'm done and I'm sorry for attacking your family like that. Despite everything, you love them all. I get it. But you are a very strong woman to put up with all the BS going around. I would be disowned.

Thanks Holly. On Wednesday I cooked the meat loaf finally. Thursday I was supposed to do laundry and pack. That didn't happen. I rested and slept all day. I have a tummy bug going on right now. I need sleep. I will have to do laundry and pack over the weekend. We have less than a week before we leave. EEK!!! I'm not ready.

thanks Holly..

Thank all goodness for the next generation. They make up for the ways of their parents. It's all worth it to have all of them.

Nice picture of May and Scott. They both look really happy. It's good to see.

YAY!!!! Congrats on getting that. Santa needs to have a new roof to come with his raindeer and sled. HO HO HO!!!!

I'm not so sure I would like that. Christmas has to be cold and snow and evergreens that piney smell. I'm going to have a hard time putting christmas lights on a palm tree in Florida. I would have a hard time putting up a white tree. The blue lights should look pretty though. At least you have a small green one that you can put up too so that you'll have both. I wonder what made Tyler think of wanting a white tree?
