Morning Everyone :goodvibes

We're heading out to run errands this morning - Sam's, Target's, etc.

Then I'm going to a Stamping Up party this afternoon.

Nothing very exciting today.

Hope everyone is doing well today

What is a Stamping Up party Lisa?

Glad you had fun in LV.

Enjoy your day!

:thumbsup2 Glad you had such a fun day Holly.Sounds like you are going to have a little more relaxing day today though!

I've got myself a cold I think. I've had a wee bit of a scratchy throat for a couple of days, but woke in the night and it was really sore. I didn't sleep well and am all stuffy now. I am going to have a quiet day and try to rest up before work tomorrow. Maybe I'll start trying on some clothes so I can figure what to take on vacation and what I still need. I gave Serenity a few new spring clothes last night. She was so excited! She had to try each item on then race out to model for everyone. I like that she's not at the age yet where she'll be throwing the clothing aside and asking where the toys are!

It's bright and sunny here, but cold. Maybe I'll bundle up later on and force myself to go for a walk.
Aw, so cute about Serenity and her clothes! :goodvibes You never know, she might end up being a kid who prefers clothes over toys. That's how Tyler is, and one of his friends too.

Sorry you're getting sick, no fun. Hopefully you'll be able to rest all day today and feel better, or at least not get worse.

Very sunny here too! Only 15F, but the sun is so bright, I've opened all the blinds in the house to help warm up in here. ;)

Lisa, one of my good friends is a Stamping Up consultant. I just love her room in her house completely full of Stamping Up stuff, all organized, very cool! I don't do it, but it's pretty fun looking stuff. Have fun! :goodvibes

Tyler surprisingly slept in until 9 this morning, and of course, so did I. :thumbsup2 We woke up at the same time, and by the time we actually got up, it was too late to make it to church at 9:30. Oops.

Mickey waffles for breakfast, watching another movie we rented last night (National Treasure 2), and we're going to head out to Toys R Us because I want to try out the 3D Nintendo DS they just got in. It's waaaaaay too expensive to buy anytime this year, maybe next year, and Tyler knows that, I'm just curious to see how well it works. Can't wait to try it out! :thumbsup2

The only other plan is laundry and dishes.

 Checking in! I have to go to the office for a few hours today and I'm avoiding getting started for that adventure! :lmao: I really need to get things caught up there and am glad they've OK'd the overtime to do it. I suggested to them that I would be WAY less cranky next week if I didn't have to walk into the chaos. (Also can easily use the extra money! :thumbsup2)

Lisa, have fun at your Stamping Up party. I wonder if I had one to go to if it would get me back to crafting. I have a tidy supply of their products on hand already. I've even dreamed up a sinmple FE type gift to make with my Disney stamps. I just MIGHT do something for my Nov cruise.

Kathe, I need to rummage throught the closet and try a few things on and will probably order a couple of items (including some tops for the summer) from Woman Within after I get back from the office this afternoon. Got to allow enough time for returns, should I select the wrong sizes.

Deb and Michelle, :grouphug: for you. You are both in my prayers for improved health.

Well, off to pop onto FB before I hit the shower.

.

Prayers and pixie dust please. A dear friend is in the hospital for heart and lung issues. She was diagnosed many years ago with Sarcoid of the lungs (Google it, it's a nasty disease). About a year and a half ago, she learned it had started to affect her heart, so she has lots of health issues as a result, but has been fairly stable the half year on meds. She started coughing really badly Thursday, went to the pharmacy for an over the counter cough medicine, but when she asked the pharmacist for a recommendation, he told her that because of her condition and meds, she should go to urgent care. She did, they told her she had bronchitis, gave her a med with Codeine to let her sleep, then she just texted me this morning saying she had to go to the ER last night and was admitted because her heart and lungs are in bad shape and she'll be in for at least the next few days. Very scary. Any of you who might be guessing who this is, please don't mention to her I told anybody and please don't mention it on FaceBook because she's a private person and would not want people to know (which is why I'm not mentioning her name). Thank you. :sad1:

Sorry about the cold Kathe. Try not to stay out in the cold for too long!!!

How sweet that Serenity loves new clothes. Such a girl!!!:cutie:

When it came our buying our youngest granddaughter(3) her Christmas present, her parents said money. I thought they would just do the buying of what they wanted for her, but they actually gave her the money as she loves to go shopping and understands it is a nice present, even at that age!!! I thought it was so funny. Her mum is an avid shopper and likes good things, so I guess Molly will be the same. As it happened she bought a nice bag for her ballet things as she was starting ballet after Christmas.

Holly, sounds like you really are having a very nice weekend.

Michelle, I hope you got some much needed sleep.

Lisa, enjoy your stamping up!!

:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: to Deb, Michelle & your friend, Holly.

Lisa - glad you're back safe & had a good time in LV - enjoy the SU party

Jackie - get moving Sister!! :rotfl: Hope you're able to get the chaos under control.
Michelle - got your email...will respond ;)
Ian - did you pack the toothpaste??
V (FL) - sorry that the Gators didn't make it to the next round.
Holly - tell Tyler that I'm so proud of him...for the medal he got this week & all the cleaning...that's amazing for a kid that age (I've never known anyone his age that enjoys cleaning so much)

:flower3: Hi to all others! :upsidedow

Monica, I just read to Tyler what you said and he smiled and said "Cleaning is just so fun!" :rotfl2: Seriously though, I do think it's an outlet for his excitement about his 2 vacations coming up (1 in just 7 days!), and it's calming and soothing, and the organization is really good for how his brain works. He's very mellow when things all around him are organized. :thumbsup2 He's a bit mad at me because he wants to rake leaves today, but our rake broke last fall, so he has to wait until I can buy a new one (actually, I need to get 2, now that he can help me), so I promised him when he gets back from FL with his dad, he can rake all week if he wants. :thumbsup2

Um, yeah, it's only been a day since she's been on here. :thumbsup2

Send out the search party... she's probably off on an adventure with John... :thumbsup2

Feel better... I'm going to try walking too... if the wind ever calms down. It's actually quite nice until the wind blows...

Thanks Jackie  I am going to try to get myself turned around this week and it may take some muscle relaxants, but I'm going to try... I'm also going to try and get to the Roosevelt Spa up at the Saratoga State Park to see if they can get some of the kinks out of the muscles...

btw... I have tons of stitching materials I have to go through and organize and give some away to the Embroiderers guild. I can't do it all and some of the patterns I just look at and think "What was I thinking????" when I bought it... :scared1:

Prayers, Pixie dust and good thoughts for your friend Holly...:hug:

I can see how this is calming to him..

tell him it will be nice and warmer when he comes back and can rake then!!!

Prayers, Pixie dust and good thoughts for your friend Holly...:hug:

Thank you. I talked to her earlier today and she can barely talk, sounds horrible. She's convinced they'll do some tests and send her home in a couple days. I hope so. It's such a nasty disease. :sad2:

Kathe - it's like a tuppoerware party but with scrapbook and card making stuff (rubber stamps, inks, cardstock, etc.)

Thanks Lisa, I kind of figured after everyone started talking about crafts and all. Did you find any neat new supplies to buy?

Prayers, Pixie dust and good thoughts for your friend Holly...:hug:

Sending prayers and pixie dust

Feel better... I'm going to try walking too... if the wind ever calms down. It's actually quite nice until the wind blows...

Thanks Michelle. I don't feel any worse so that's a good thing! I did go for a walk....around the mall  I had a coupon for 40% off at a store, but it expired today, so I decided to get moving and check to see if they had anything new. I came home with 2 new tops and 2 pairs of capris :thumbsup2 Too tired to walk outside now though. How about you? Did you get out for a walk? Hope you are feeling better soon too

Getting caught up AND earning overtime, sounds like a win/win situation :thumbsup2

Thanks Monica! Fun to tell stories of "our" girls, isn't it? :cutie:
