Today my little cleaning Nazi wore me out. He stayed up late last night after the pinewood derby, cleaning the bathroom. I had a hard time getting him to STOP and go to bed! He insisted he HAD to clean it. Then this morning he was already cleaning at 7am, I think he was working on his bedroom. Today after school we had to get groceries, but then he wanted to rush home to CLEAN some more. His teacher came over for a bit and when I told her all of this, she asked "Um....is he a bit manic lately?!" YES, that's it. He's so excited for his 2 vacations, I think the crazed cleaning is sort of an outlet for all that bottled up excitement. Believe me, she knows this, of course, because she's with him all day, LOL! She jokes about having the most organized classroom and storage closets in the whole school. His classroom has a full kitchen, including laundry area, so he sometimes even does dishes and cleans the counters. You walk through the kitchen to get to the attached sensory room, and I'm sure he probably organizes in there too, LOL! BUT, I'm super grateful for this major cleaning, our house desperately needed it. I've been trying since summer to get back on track, but organization is my weak point, SO his skills there are wonderful and super appreciated.
Tomorrow, I'm sleeping in. I told Tyler he better let me sleep in about 2 hours after he gets up. He said "No problem. I'll be busy cleaning anyway!"

Then we're going to the school carnival late morning/early afternoon. Then meeting 2 friends at the Michigan History Museum (one of Tyler's favorites for a few years now, one of my most dreaded places to go....ugggg...). After that we're going to see "Diary of a Wimpy Kid", the newest one. No plans for Sunday, so Tyler will probably beg me to let him start cleaning/organizing the garage. Yuck.
