Oh yeah, good news on MIL she is recovering from surgery and she is today being moved to the Terraces (which sounds familiar, right?) where my mom is. They have the BEST skilled nursing in the valley. They are uber hard to get into as they save beds for their residents, but if they are low in bed count they will give them to the open (paying) public. I'm so relieved she will be getting after care and GOOD after care at that. Sadly, I'm on the fence about telling my mom to visit her as I think my mom might be more of a worry than anything else. Her memory is SOOOOO bad these day. I even had a bad dream about her last night

It is good that you could sit thru it and came to the conclusion of guilty.

Hopefully the judge will put him away for a LONG time.

The judge will sentence him within 6 weeks. He has asked for a psychiatric report first. We can phone to find out what is the sentence, but the judge said to us 'rest assured, he will be going to prison for a very, very long time'

Some of the evidence was not good at all as you can imagine. He has previous convictions for indecent assaults or gross indecency towards 7 young girls over 30 years and we could take that into account which surprised us.

By the way he is 54!

I had a call from the police this afternoon - seems the defence for the defendant has decided to stall some more so I don't know if I'll be in court next week or not... And so it goes on...

Seems like all court activity is hit and miss. Our case took almost 4 days longer than they thought so all the other cases in that courtroom would be delayed then too. Seems people would arrange time off work and then have to go in to work and re arrange the time off!!! Lots of waiting around for everyone too. I hope it is all over soon as it weighs on your mind doesn't it?

Well, the latest is that a couple of days ago, we could tell the poison had been gotten into, so hopefully they all had a D-Con poison party and have gone to the big piece of cheese in mouse Heaven. We're still finding lots of yucky surprises where they used to hang out without us knowing. Disgusting. Haven't seen any lately though, so hopefully they're almost gone.

I don't know how, but I've hurt my lower back again so am in self-imposed exile on the sofa with legs elevated whilst chucking Ibuprofen down my throat. The frustrating thing is that I just don't know what I've done. The scary thing is the pain's the same as when I damaged both hip ligaments a few years ago - I was off my feet for months then!! I think it's about time to make an appointment with dreaded GP...

Oh no! I hope it's not a major injury. Rest and take care!

Super busy day at work today, then went straight from work to have wings and a beer with a few people, Tyler's at his dad & stepmom's company Christmas party. Can't believe he's still out, it's an hour and a half past bedtime 2 nights in a row, he'll be wiped out tomorrow! Now I have to go catch up on a whole day of FaceBook stuff!

I, on the other hand, paid in full today. I was able to drop to a cat 12 from my cat 11, keep my cheap airfare and save another $500.00

I'll try to read when I can, but may not be posting too much for a bit. I'm very overwhelmed in my life right now. It's so very busy here, and I really did think I was adjusting, but I got some sad news yesterday and am not coping very well. My eldest brother has passed away. I, along with the rest of my family, had not seen or heard from him in years. It is a very sad story. He just couldn't stop the alcohol and drug abuse that started when he was a teenager. He passed three weeks ago but is still not laid to rest because until someone found me yesterday, they had been unable to find any next of kin I am still getting details from police and waiting for the coroner to call me. I am going to visit another brother of mine tomorrow to share with him the very, very sad details of his life that I am starting to find out. We will have to decide together what we will do next, as none of the rest of the family will have anything to do with my brother, even in his death If you would say a prayer for my late brother, David, it would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm so sorry for your loss. Even if you had not been close in the past years I'm sure this is a big upset and sadness. Please know we are all praying for you for strenght and support as you work on the details of his burial. Dealing with your other siblings I know can be hard and again, prayers for support coming from me and everyone else I'm sure.

Whenever you need a laugh and giggle we're here for that too

I'm calling tomorrow on our TA. I still keep hoping that I'll rebook it as it nears. If we sell the porsche I am for sure, Paul and I agreed on that
