I need to check whether any ski places are open......MAYBE I CAN GO SKIING SATURDAY AND SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yea, that's coz you're in sunny FLA and I'm NOT!!! Ahh haha.![]()
We're talking Star Trek (and SciFi stuff) over there right now.....at least it's not SPORTS!
.
Deb - I love snow as long as all I see of it is in pictures! So keep them coming......
It is a very difficult thread I think. Some very strong characters, and so many having done the PC before and therefore having their favourite way of doing things.
I only find one person mildly annoying over there....as I did when that person was on THIS thread.

Oh no! Sorry to hear about the bathroom/pipe problem. What a financial burden to deal with.Yuck.

Friday thoughts:
Winter - There are mixed messages about whether or not we are supposed to have a mild or severe winter. I read in several places that it is supposed to be mild. I don't think what's going on now is an indication of the rest of the winter because I recall that last year it was in the 70'sF in November and then we had one of the worst winters I can remember.
I myself prefer that it be lousy now but not descend into what we had a year ago.
Threads about Cruises that are Ridiculously Far in the Future:
I am challenged by these thread. I myself find the threads for the LA Repo and Alaska to be absurd. It seem rather cliquish to me and a lot of hot air about something that as of today is 557 days in the future.
What on earth could there be to possibly plan? Look at my situation with the TA. I'm going to cancel it, something I didn't think I would be doing even a few months ago.
I'm really not interesting in endlessly chewing over and speculating on the future. It strikes me a bit like debating how many angels can dance on the head of pin.
Speaking of the future - why can I not get pricing out of anyone regarding organic free-range turkeys? It isn't THAT far away. I'm trying to make up my mind about ordering a heritage, organic free-range (which I do have pricing for) or just a plain old organic free-range. Come on all you poulterers! I need to know the price difference so I can make up my mind.
Check here Ian...pricing that you asked for:
http://www.lobels.com/store/main/item.asp?item=458
It looks like they have 10 lbs. for $75 and 22 lbs for $150 and everything inbetween.
Thanks Deb. I wonder if the in-store prices are about the same. I'm going to be visiting the butcher shop around the corner this weekend to ask.
The pricing above is about the same as a heritage organic free-range from a local farm. I'm surprised because heritage birds usually cost much more.
Sorry about your pay increase.Only one more day until the weekend!
Annual salary review was today, and they didn't even do them. The good news is that I didn't get a pay cut(which was rumoured to be happening). The bad news is that I didn't even get a cost of living increase which they've done every year for the 13 years I've been working there.
Oh well, another day closer to the weekend![]()

Well it's that time of the year again....no not the holidays...it's annual check up time. Every birthday I schedule it so I don't forget when I did it last. In the upcoming weeks I have:
My Rheumatologist (I go every 6 months)
Ray's GP (I take him every 4 months)
My GP (annually)
My Pap test done by the female PA in the office (annually)
My mamogram (annually)
My bone density test (I take it every 3 years)
Then I'll get sick from going to so many doctors and taking tests. I always do when I get near a doctors office or a hospital for testing. I have autoimmune disease....my antibodies like to fight my good cells....so I catch every germ I come in contact with. I have to be really careful.
On top of that I have fibromyalgia and connective tissue disease. Which basically amounts to a lot of inflamation in the body and pain. But we have diagnosed it and have it under control.
That's why I haven't worked for the past 8 years. I couldn't hold down a job, too many days off being sick or going in sick. Then I would just fall asleep at my desk and my boss got ticked off at me. It was a nightmare....especially in the beginning when I didn't know what was wrong and how to make it better.
Now it's just keeping the cellulitis and all the wound infections at bay. So far, so good....at the moment.
I dread this time of year....I'm happy when it's over.
