Michelle, hope you have a great time at your reunion!

Not sure what else will be happening today. It seems it will be a nice crisp fall day. Maybe a drive is in order.

Here you go...drive over to Indiana and visit the Orchard and pick some apples! LOL. This place is right by where I grew up. If you look above and to the left of the orchard, that housing development is it and my house is the one on the corner of Hillcrest & Hickey Streets. The lone farm in the middle of the field just above Cleveland Avenue is where Peg and I kept our horses. I moved tons of hay and shoveled lots of...you know...there!

We rode in all those fields when they didn't have growing crops in them. And at Christmas we would tie bells to our horses tails and put them on elastic bands around their feet and ride through the neighborhood singing Christmas carols. You could barely hear us singing for all the jingeling!

Funny, I was just thinking today that I need to call Dianne. But not now. I think I need a nap.

Working again this morning (Saturday) leading a meeting for a leader who wants to go home to Indianapolis because BOTH her parents are in the hospital.

It's not to bad, it's in a church right near my house, about 5 minutes away. The meeting is at 8:00, and I should be home by 9:30.

No plans for today. We have been trying to get our errands run during the week when I get home from work.

Only a few little things, I need to visit the butcher shop around the corner and see what they are going to be carrying. Then Sukie and I are having a chat to finalize the menu.

Nice that the meeting where you're filling in is close to home. That sure takes up less of your day.

A nap sounds like a good idea. I'm enjoying not having to watch the clock all day since I don't pick Tyler up until tomorrow. I really can have a long nap and not worry about getting up until I wake up on my own, not to an alarm.

Very laid back day.

I did make it into the butcher shop around the corner. They are going to be carrying organic free range, but don't know the pricing yet.

I found another source for organic free-range turkeys here in Chicago. They are actually a business that will do weekly deliveries of organic vegetables to your door. It looks like their prices are going to be $4 a pound and the turkeys come from a farm about 80 miles away here in Illinois. I shot them off an email to see what the scoop it.

I still haven't settled on the menu. I might be experimenting with some new recipes this year.

I don't think there is/was supposed to be a 'cover'. The new bar/cove cafe covers all of Signals bar below and I 'heard' extends a bit over the adult pool.

We'll know all tomorrow when the cruisers board!

I also understand that diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires are all treats and all of them have very low points.

John told me he wanted to put a sock in your mouth when he read this, then he read that I already bought pink diamond earrings for my birthday...so he just gave up!

I told him not to worry, the more diamonds I buy the more truck toys he gets. He said his truck is his diamonds.

We've got it all worked out.

We haven't quite finalized the menu yet. Still serious debate.

No cover, never was to be a cover.

Expanded Cove Cafe (now two stories) and Outlook Bar and floor to celing viewing windows on deck ten. In the photo it's that big room in front of the forward stack.
