Hi Deb...

Mom is perfecting her ballet moves... (she cannot bend over for a few more days due to the stitches..) She SWEARS that the Dr. took an extra stitch to even up her eyebrows after the first surgery... :rotfl:

She's just enjoying the fact that I have to do all of her usual chores (we share otherwise mom wouldn't get up off the couch from reading her smutty novels...) but she can drive and she's happy about that.

We are going to go and see Julie and Julia tonight at the Scotia 1 plex. She didn't feel up to it last night.

I'm glad that she's at least feeling better tonight and wants to go out. It'll be great for both of you...enjoy.

Thanks Michelle for posting and thanks Shannon for the good wishes! It has been a busy couple days. I still can't believe she is a she! As she was coming out, the assistant surgeon said - I swear this is what both Quentin and I heard - "another male". Quentin and I just looked at each other and said, "it's a boy??" and the doctor said.."no - I said Abagail" - abagail sounds like "another male"! It was too funny. All I could think of was my poor mom who was the one most excited about the female addition! I still think the whole thing is a bit weird -seeing a baby in a dress looks so strange to me!

So I'm driving myself to the hospital yesterday morning at 5:30am PSt (Quentin was waiting for our nanny coming in at 6:30am and they all joined me at the hospital before the surgery). Anyway, I'm on hold with Disney to book my 2011 cruise! I get to the hospital admitting and hide my phone (still on hold) in my purse as you aren't suppose to have phones. I get to L&D where they start to prep me for surgery. I hide the phone under the sheets. I start to think that perhaps I am just a little insane, worried about booking a cruise that perhaps we won't even take but I still want to get the best pricing. Anyway, I hear this "hello, hello" Just then the nurse comes in so I have to confess to all - the nurse and the Disney CM. They all have a good laugh...and yes, I booked the Roy suite for the 10 night April 2011 10-night cruise!!! Heck, figure if I've accepted that I'm crazy might as well be REAL crazy!

In case you are all wondering, Quentin gave me that necklace for the birth of Abby- that is why I'm wearing jewerly! Normally I wouldn't be so dressed up! Well, she is sleeping right now so I think I best take advantage of the time and try to get some sleep myself. Quentin is home with the boys - its just me and her! So much fun.
Lisa

Lisa....OMG she is precious! :love:You look fantastic! I love the boys in their outfits...what a prepared mother you are!
Congratulations!!!!! I am so excited for you all.

And, guess what.....Lisa W and I are on that cruise too!!!!!! :dance3::yay::woohoo: Sounds like there will be a party in the Roy ;)

Enjoy your first few days with Abagail (did I spell that right?)

Hi everyone....

I just finished my bookings for 2011, I think I will be seeing some of you...we booked the 10d April Mexican cruise (with the Lisa's it sounds like!) and then Scott, the girls and I are staying on to take the boat to Vancouver. So, 16 days on the wonder, in the same cabin! Hoping all works out and everything is a go!

Remember, for anyone heading to AK, if you fly through SeaTac, I expect calls and quick (or longer) visits!!!! We are only 20 minutes from the airport. SeaTac is about a 3 hour drive from Vancouver, so not sure if people will be flying into Seattle and driving or straight to Vancouver.

The deed is done.

I started a thread for the journey from LA to Vancouver to Alaska:

Let's see if it grows feet.

Hey Ken! Buddy! A logo is needed for this spirit of journey and adventure!

Yeah I know, I was thinking about it last night when I read your post, but not being at home I have 0 access to my stuff. Maybe tonight if I can fit something in.

Any ideas anyone?

Got any of Mickey dressed like an old-style gold-panner? After all the whole trip is covering old gold rush areas.

I got this information on a game store for you Holly. No idea if it is reliable or not, but you probably know more about it than I do.

Best one in the area is in East Lansing: 21st Century Comics, located on Grand River Avenue. It's a little difficult to see, being located on the upper level of a two-story strip mall.

:wave2:

Killer Sting Ray at CC :scratchin....Oh you mean that little minnow  You should have seen the size of the sting rays we were swimming with in Grand Cayman

I'm so excited to see how many of you are doing the B2B :thumbsup2

Sorry I haven't been here to say hi, I have been reading a little each day though and miss you all

I'm pretty much exhausted at the moment. There's been a LOT happening around here while I was away! Lots of drama...I left home an empty nester, came back to find I am once again sharing my home with my son, and he has Serenity here too, every 4 days for 4 days at a time. I can't believe I've only been home for 3 days :faint:

See Nan, just like I said.....they ALWAYS come back and then there's more of them each time.

Kathe, It'll be fine once you readjust and work out a routine. Then you'll miss them when they leave.....so just enjoy the time that you have together.

hugs!:hug::hug::hug::hug:

I love that idea Shannon. The only thing I could think of was a lumberjack with Mickey in a DISgreen plaid flannel shirt. I like your idea so much better.

I didn't know we were going to all the old gold rush areas. That's a good piece of history to explore.

Maybe we could put a glacier and an Orca in the background....hmmm.:rolleyes1

.....whats the problem......start your own "Thieves chillin' in Alaska" thread....someone put their big girl panties on and start it already....:stir::tiptoe::tongue:

And do you have the panties to go along with the wig?

Wow Kathe, big changes going on for you! But at least you get lots of time with Serenity. :goodvibes

wow! big changes, but lots more time with Serenity. :woohoo::thumbsup2

Kathe,

So sorry you returned to some stress.

Kathe, I was wondering where you were. What changes for you to get used to. Are they going to be with you long?

Deb, you are right, they do always seem to come back!

I don't want to say too much, since you never know who's reading  but a situation came up and I am so proud of my son for coming home and stepping up and doing the right thing. The silver lining is definately that I get to see so much more of Serenity princess: My son will probably be with me for a while, he will need to find a job here in Ontario and the issue of permanent custody (whether it be shared or full custody) of Serenity will need to be settled through the courts. It is going to be stressful for a while I think, but Serenity is very happy here and, of course, that far outweighs any inconvenience in my life!

Before I go...

CONGRATULATIONS LISA & QUENTIN!!!!
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Lisa, you ALL look great and Abby, my my what a beautiful baby (I'm sure even Holly would agree ;)

Hope you can enjoy some alone bonding time with her before you step back into the fray of the family ::yes::

How long are you off work? Perhaps I can zip up in a few weeks and we can share lunch?

Oh, I definitely agree! She's a cutie! :goodvibes

Aw, thanks Ken....for the store info and all the games! :yay: I read all the info on the link for each game and some of them sound like they might frustrate him, he needs very simple rules, but I think I'll start with Cartagena....you're right, he'll love the pirate theme. :thumbsup2 THANK YOU!

Oh.....and I work in East Lansing, so I'd be able to go check out that store on my lunch hour one of these days. :thumbsup2

Oh gosh, sorry about whatever happened, but it sounds like your son is taking his responsibilities seriously and doing what's right for Serenity....she's lucky to have him.....AND YOU! Best wishes to you all while things get sorted out. :grouphug:
