Lisa looks fantastic!

Tyler and I have been playing checkers for an hour every day for a few days. I HATE checkers, bores me to death, especially when I win every time. But I keep doing it because he's not getting frustrated at all about it. :thumbsup2 I told him we're going to go shopping this weekend for a bunch of games so we can keep doing something similar most days, he was excited about that idea. :goodvibes

Games? did someone mention games?

Try and see if you have a game store in near you. And I'm not talking "Toys R Us". I'm talking a place that would have what are called "Euros". There are so many more games out there than Parker Brothers or Hasbro.

I see Shannon has suggested Cranium Cariboo and I would second that. You could also look at Cartagena or Cartagena II as a simple matching game but done with pirates. Plus it is challenging enough to pull out with adults - Shannon and I own and play Cartagena II regularly.

Elk Fest is a nice little dexterity game and you could probably tie it into "Brother Bear".

Shannon would probably recommend Sorry Sliders, another game we own and play with the girls.

I have picked up There's a Moose in the House and play it with the girls, but it can get a bit tiresome after a few plays (usually about 3 or 4 for me) in a row. However some of Kaleigh's biggest laughs have come from that game and I have never won against the girls so I might be biased against it. One thing about it though, is I'm uncertain how well it works with 2 as I have only played it with 3.

Duck Duck Bruce! is another little card game I bought with the intention of playing with the girls and have had some fun. However, Kaleigh has lost interest quickly as she doesn't understand the "push your luck" aspect of the game.

Gulo Gulo is a good dexterity game where the small fingers of a child has a huge advantage over adults. Yet another game we own that I have never won.

I have heard good things about The Amazing Labyrinth game. I haven't played it but I have looked at it (or one of its brethren) a few times. But the theme might interest Tyler and the planning might keep mom interested a little longer.

Just a few off the top of my head. If you have any questions let me know. I can probably come up with a few more suggestions if you want them. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thanks Michelle for posting and thanks Shannon for the good wishes! It has been a busy couple days. I still can't believe she is a she! As she was coming out, the assistant surgeon said - I swear this is what both Quentin and I heard - "another male". Quentin and I just looked at each other and said, "it's a boy??" and the doctor said.."no - I said Abagail" - abagail sounds like "another male"! It was too funny. All I could think of was my poor mom who was the one most excited about the female addition! I still think the whole thing is a bit weird -seeing a baby in a dress looks so strange to me!

So I'm driving myself to the hospital yesterday morning at 5:30am PSt (Quentin was waiting for our nanny coming in at 6:30am and they all joined me at the hospital before the surgery). Anyway, I'm on hold with Disney to book my 2011 cruise! I get to the hospital admitting and hide my phone (still on hold) in my purse as you aren't suppose to have phones. I get to L&D where they start to prep me for surgery. I hide the phone under the sheets. I start to think that perhaps I am just a little insane, worried about booking a cruise that perhaps we won't even take but I still want to get the best pricing. Anyway, I hear this "hello, hello" Just then the nurse comes in so I have to confess to all - the nurse and the Disney CM. They all have a good laugh...and yes, I booked the Roy suite for the 10 night April 2011 10-night cruise!!! Heck, figure if I've accepted that I'm crazy might as well be REAL crazy!

In case you are all wondering, Quentin gave me that necklace for the birth of Abby- that is why I'm wearing jewerly! Normally I wouldn't be so dressed up! Well, she is sleeping right now so I think I best take advantage of the time and try to get some sleep myself. Quentin is home with the boys - its just me and her! So much fun.

:wave2:

Killer Sting Ray at CC :scratchin....Oh you mean that little minnow  You should have seen the size of the sting rays we were swimming with in Grand Cayman

I'm so excited to see how many of you are doing the B2B :thumbsup2

Sorry I haven't been here to say hi, I have been reading a little each day though and miss you all

I'm pretty much exhausted at the moment. There's been a LOT happening around here while I was away! Lots of drama...I left home an empty nester, came back to find I am once again sharing my home with my son, and he has Serenity here too, every 4 days for 4 days at a time. I can't believe I've only been home for 3 days :faint:

Kathe,

So sorry you returned to some stress.

We're off to start our vacation today - Epcot today, MNSSHP tomorrow, drive to the port on Friday then we set sail on Saturday. See you all when we get back!

Have a great trip!:)

Lisa, you ALL look great and Abby, my my what a beautiful baby (I'm sure even Holly would agree ;)

Hope you can enjoy some alone bonding time with her before you step back into the fray of the family ::yes::

How long are you off work? Perhaps I can zip up in a few weeks and we can share lunch?

that's great that you're getting more energy! :cool1::cool1:
And may I suggest Cranium Cariboo as a great kids game! It involves taking a card from the pile and the matching it to the choices on the board. (for example its got the number 3 so you can pick any spot that has 3 things on it, use the key to open that spot (very simple push the spot to pop it open) if you find a ball you put it in the hole. Once the 6th ball is found, it causes the treasure chest to pop open!)
Thanks Shannon, I'll look for it! :goodvibes
