Well then it's good that I'm in and you're out!

I like to have a snack at night watching TV....I'll eat carrots and celery instead of junk food. We had only junk food in the suite at WDW after cruise and that's what I ate....pretzels, candy and cake.

Now at home I eat carrots, celery and jello. It just matters what you have in the house. And I drink a LOT of water. I track every bottle and use only water to make the happy face appear online. My goal everyday is to get those happy faces....the only ones I focus on are the water and the fruits and veggies. If I eat more of that than anything else, then I know that I'm healthy and I'm going to lose weight.

I try to keep it simple.
And you're doing great, so keep it up! :thumbsup2

It just goes to show that you're made of strong stuff, that we're on the cruise and you still plan on coming! I would think that our behaviour at dinner would have scared you off!

Wasn't that just the regular dinner entertainment :confused3 :rotfl2:

princess: princess: WELCOME TO THE WORLD, ABAGAIL! princess: princess:

It's going to be so much fun with those big brothers!

.

Deb, you are right, they do always seem to come back!

I don't want to say too much, since you never know who's reading  but a situation came up and I am so proud of my son for coming home and stepping up and doing the right thing. The silver lining is definately that I get to see so much more of Serenity princess: My son will probably be with me for a while, he will need to find a job here in Ontario and the issue of permanent custody (whether it be shared or full custody) of Serenity will need to be settled through the courts. It is going to be stressful for a while I think, but Serenity is very happy here and, of course, that far outweighs any inconvenience in my life!

  & enjoy every bit of Serenity you can get!!!

Enjoy your girl's night out! Glad your mom is doing well

We had a good time... great movie!!!

Well, I did some major grocery shopping today, bought all the right things, and tomorrow I'm going to start tracking points again. Please wish me luck. I'm tired of not being able to wear all my clothes because not much fits anymore and I refuse to buy bigger clothes, so I'm ready to try again. I'm going to try to get motivated to walk on my lunch hour as often as possible too, or at home after work.

Good luck!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Careful Ken. You're not the only one who knows how to use Photoshop and I have the full version of it too. Not just elements.

So...you can photoshop flanned plaid on Sukie?

It just goes to show that you're made of strong stuff, that we're on the cruise and you still plan on coming! I would think that our behaviour at dinner would have scared you off!

Ian... we all find you both very entertaining... :worship: :worship:

You actually play a part in this too! I was telling a co-worker how much weight you lost and she was amazed! We talked about how helpful it is to find somebody who inspires you to do things you struggle with. She asked me what my excuse is for getting off track, I told her I'm just lazy and want all the junk. She told me she can crack down and drag me out to walk at lunchtime and she also said she can pay attention to what I'm eating if that will help. Perhaps she motivated me a bit too, but it started with me telling her about your success. :thumbsup2

Planky has promised to throw the stapler at me if I want to eat the rest of the halloween candy without him... :lmao:

Glad to help! I have gotten to the point that sweets and breads don't even tempt me anymore. And I can tell you that it will be a great feeling when you suceed and go to the store to buy new clothes and come home with size 4!

I think my right ankle is a size 4 - at my lowest weight... I think in high school when I was a tiny 130 lbs... I was a size 11... I don't think bone structure wise I'll ever get down there again - us Lauzon girls have hips and shoulders of linebackers... but I'll settle for a 14/16... :thumbsup2

It's going down into the 20sF tonight. Frost/freeze warning. I'm going to need my ice scraper! Too bad it's buried with my winter stuff somewhere in the garage. ;)

So I've been doing a lot of thinking lately (scary, I know!) and I think I'm going to ask Tyler's dad if he'd be willing to switch our custody arrangement to every other week. He wanted that back when we started sharing time, but I felt a whole week would be too long for Tyler to be away from either one of us because he was only a few months old. But now that he's older and it's easier to take him places and do more fun things with him, it would be great to be able to take him away somewhere for a weekend sometimes, but neither his dad nor I can do that because we each only have a day of the weekend. That makes it fair for both of us, but it stinks for both of us. I've noticed Tyler telling me he wished he had more time to finish something or do something he was doing at his dad's after I pick him up, and the same when he's leaving my house to go to his dad's. I think it would be better for him to have a longer time with each of us so we can get more quality time in.

I talked to the one attorney at work who does family law and he told me almost all judges assign week on/week off custody because most people think it's better for kids because otherwise, just when he gets adjusted to where he is, it's time to leave again. And it seems it would be better consistency for him.

I'm trying to brainstorm to figure out what the cons would be to that arrangement before I mention it to his dad but can't come up with any, other than Tyler might end up missing the other parent too much, and if that happens, we work in a mid-week visit. Any thoughts out there?

The only down side I can see is that you'll miss Tyler if you have to wait a week to see him. But then you said you can do the mid week visits.

Holly it's worth looking into... and the midweek visit may work - make sure you let them know at school too so they will know of any changes and to look out for Tyler while it's going through to help him through it...

good evening folks :goodvibes

Holly - you can do the WW thing! You were doing great before and you'll do great again. There's a lot of support available in this thread and from your co-worker :thumbsup2. The week on, week off thing sounds good for Tyler. It'll be an adjustment for all involved. You are used to having your Friday nights and Saturday sleep-ins.

We had parent-teacher night for Shaelyn this evening. I wasn't thrilled with it. We finally got the explanation of how things are working with her having 2 teachers. She has one teacher on Monday, Tuesday and then for half of Wed and the other teacher for the rest of the week. She's been in her class for 3 weeks, but its actually only 8 days with each teacher. It was obvious that neither teacher knows her yet. We got the same things we've always been told, she's quiet, listens well, is well-behaved. The one teacher said the only thing she's noticed is Shaelyn is slower than some of the kids so some things are taking her longer, but its fine. Then she said, it could be an indication of problems with reading. The one area Shaelyn has consistently excelled at is reading, but the girl is a perfectionist, and will not guess, if she isn't positive she knows the answer she doesn't answer. Then as we were leaving the other teacher reminded Shaelyn to bring her swimsuit. She doesn't need to bring her swimsuit. Its a grade 3/4 split, and Shaelyn is in Grade 3; its the grade 4's that go swimming.

Overall I'm not thrilled with the jobsplit with the 2 teachers, and am a little concerned that Shaelyn will get little attention which was a problem for her in kindergarten. She was too quiet and well-behaved and didn't speak up for herself, so the teacher would forget her. We worked it out with that teacher, and we'll have to make sure it doesn't happen this year. I did like that they handed out the schedule for what things happen each day, so it makes it easier to ask Shaelyn about her day.

Long post, just rambling on.

At least you've got a good start at where she is now... maybe you can keep an eye on her progress and if you need to, talk to the teachers again...

& then we send Bubba in to fight for her... :thumbsup2

::yes:: we'll just have to keep talking with Shaelyn. She's so much like I was, I find myself sounding like my mother :lmao: now I know why she would get so frustrated with me telling me to relax

Oh no Shannon....that just sounds like there is no good to come out of it for Shaelyn. It's hard enough adjusting to one teacher each new school year, but to change teachers in the middle of a week....that's just nuts. How can that be beneficial to any student?

I think you are going to have to stay right on top of this situation. Everyday you're going to have to check with Shaelyn and weekly check with her teachers and make sure that the disruption does not affect Shaelyn negatively. Good Luck!

WOW Gydell....you really have come a long way....and it didn't take you all that long. Now how is it that you have no flab and look SO GOOD!!!

Ian, you too. You look even better than you did on the PC cruise. I meant to tell you that everytime I saw you this past trip. You suggested weights to keep the flab away, correct?

I have to do something and I have to start soon.

Ian, Gydell....what did each of you do?

Weights and exercise can help with toning, but somethings I just accept, like I will never have a washboard stomach.

A joke to start the day with....

During a recent password audit, it was found that a blonde was using the following password:

MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofy

When asked why such a big password, she said that it had to be at least 8 characters

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Good Morning!!

Hope this Thursday is starting off for you in a pleasant way!

I worked on my PC album on Saturday & brought it in today to show a co worker...finished CC day. Will try to scan pages & post them this weekend (also need to download pics from this past cruise).

KEN - how about a Thieves taking over Alaska logo? ;)

oh dear.... Olivia is in 5/6 too... with one teacher... but these seem two part time job to share... not easy is it.. (every mum have to right to speak out or worry too) just like me....

Glad to help! I have gotten to the point that sweets and breads don't even tempt me anymore. And I can tell you that it will be a great feeling when you suceed and go to the store to buy new clothes and come home with size 4!

Wow how you got willpower??/ please help me :worship::worship:

Oh, the only things I eat are sweets and breads! I hope I get to that point someday.

I don't think I was ever a size 4, right now I'm at size 20, so I'd be happy with size 10. :thumbsup2 But for now, I'm going to focus on 5 pounds. Then when I get there, I'll focus on losing another 5, etc. Little chunks makes it seem easier. :goodvibes

Holly, I cannot image you size 20 as you still look great...;)

Long sleeves!!! They hide alot! You haven't seen a pix of me lately, have you?:confused3 If you are talking about the one from Connie's, you need to take 45 pounds off of it!

Everyone has their way of losing weight. I did the Dr. Oz method and it worked for me.

Good luck to all of you trying to lose weight!!!

What is Dr. Oz? never heard of it??

OH MY GOSH, SHE'S ADORABLE!!!!
:lovestrucprincess::lovestrucprincess::lovestrucprincess::lovestrucprincess:
CONGRATULATIONS LISA & QUENTIN!!!!
