We'll get Nana to do it. She's good at it. At the Champagne Girls tasting one lady showed up because she got a message on her phone but she wasn't sure if it was a mistake or not. Nan took care of it in a flash....she asked, "Are you a DISer? No, then it's a mistake...you can leave." And that was it, issue resolved. She's effective that Nana!

Owning the thread is too much resposiblity for me, I just like to boss people around and tell them what to do, not rally do the work.
As for the LA to Vanc to Alaska, 2 vs 1 thread, I have mixed feelings on merging the threads. For me, it would be much simpler to merge them since 29 of the 41 listed people are doing both. On the other hand, if I was one of the 12 people only doing 1 segment, I might be intimidated and worried about being lost if it was a B2B thread. But then, I am a wuss; just look how long it took before I quit getting all my info from Ken and finally jumped on here myself. And you guys are uber-friendly
Would the democratic approach work? Send a PM to the 2 thread leaders to give them a heads up and play nice, then post a poll thread putting Ian's idea out there, and let people vote/comment.
There does seem to be some strong personalities on the repo/Alaska threads with various groups that have cruised together before. I think its going to be interesting to see how things all mesh together.
I know one of my goals this time around is to be more involved. I really didn't meet/talk to many people on the ship. So this time, Champagne Girls here I come (should have crashed it last time)
I would not frame it as a B2B thread. I would frame it as, "The WONDERful Journey North." That places no value judgement on it and removes the notion of a B2B.

So far 71% are on the continuous journey. There is an opportunity to create something holistic for everyone.
Why can't it be planned with a welcome party at the start, a farewell party in the middle and another welcome party?
I suppose that in the end, it all depends on your point of view.

A lady I do stuff with in the WISH board, is a first time cruiser, only doing the repo. I'm going to ask her thoughts on merging the threads. The trick is to make sure the one segment only people don't get lost, or feel like there is too much stuff that doesn't pertain to them.
