Okay ya know the Dino ride in AK? Well being the mean mom that I am I was able to ride it first and then plant Molly on the side where she would be totally freaked out from the Dino that tried to eat her for lunch.

Look closely she is the one in the 2nd row on the end...the rest of the front 2 rows are all family it was hirlarous

Then since I can't stand not telling her that I created the scare she got mad and pouted in the store just outside the ride

I can only hope that I'm still young enough to play these kind of gags on her kids with her when she is a mom.

I tell ya, I was the BIGGEST fraidycat as a child and my sisters and brother-in-laws ALWAYS made fun of me and tried to scare me. Those are some of the best childhood memories I have...so I really don't scare her out of meanness, just out of a misplaced sense of my own fun as a child. Of course, she will not appreicate any of this for many years to come and even then I just its a crap shoot on if she will grown into the trickster like her mama :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Nan, great pics!!! I find this funny because in our family it works in reverse :upsidedow My kids do this type of thing to ME :scared1: They actually talked me into going onto THE HULK a couple years ago at Universal ....and still laugh about it :faint:

Because it is historical I guess ;)

Our schools in Illinois never gave the day off for a Presidential inauguration. I wonder why they have started to do it now. I will have to check to see if they are giving the day off here. It seems to me that for the short ceremony, they could show it on the classroom TV and not disrupt the whole week for it.

They are high and it's funny that I spelled pole that way :lmao: Your schools don't have high windows that you need a pole to open?

MAYBE SOME THAT WERE BUILT IN THE 1800'S!!!!!!
School windows in Florida don't open because they are almost all airconditioned

Somebody asked a while back if Patrick can propel his new chair. The answer is No, because the back wheels are a bit smaller. The only way he can get around in his old chairs is when we take off the footrests, and he can push himself around with his feet and he uses his left hand to push the wheel with.

If he feet are up,he can only go around in circles because he only has one hand to push with! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

.......Thank you for taking me back a few months. I do want to stay at home and I am struggling with the new budget it takes. We have always had money to burn, which was my income. But with just Paul's it goes to bills so the adjustment is really a difficult one.

You and Paul are the ones who have to decide what works for you and for your family. We know you will figure out what is best. ::yes::

I just found out about the connection btwn Ian Fleming, 007, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang & Kent...quite interesting.

I believe the Battle of Britain site is not too far from Dover too.

Can you tell us about the connetion between Ian Fleming, 007, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang & Kent or give us a link?

...don't anybody faint....got a couple of things done around the house...and actually ate BistroMD food too.....I can nearly see the top of my dining room table...and the check book is balanced...and there's a load of wash in....I might have to take a nap, don't want to overdo it! :lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:wave2: Hi Monica

We are going to the movies this afternoon, so it seems...

The kids are seeing Hotel for Dogs. Paul and I are going to see Gran(d)? Torino (Clint Eastwood) I wish Doubt was playing at the theater we are going to I'd much rather see that. I might try to change our location...brb checking the web now.

Tyler and I both want to see "Hotel for Dogs". Let us know how your kids like it. :goodvibes

I'll be glad when January is over! Bad enough that it's so cold and snowy, but a good friend of mine's mom passed away a week and a half ago and she was so close to her and is so sad :sad1: I know a lot of you can relate to this :grouphug: A few days ago my sister-in-law's very good friend died, she was only 61 . She was such a nice person, just collapsed and died a few days later, they aren't sure yet what happened. She was a nurse in the oncology dept. Next Saturday is the 7th anniversary of Charlie's death (my DH) :sad1:

.....back......Deb and John are not sure of their dates either. At this point, we'll see if we're even going to be able to make the trip. We took a big hit last month in expenses.....the SC trip, the truck, Christmas, Tom.....we're still digging out. Then I have a b2b cruise to pay for in June. With our Ray expenses each month....our budget is tighter. We applied for a veterans pension for Ray. We qualify, but they said it will take 4-8 months before we start seeing results. We were told that Ray is due to receive from $1,000-1,500 a month. That's what we're paying out for him. It will be very nice to be able to keep our money, but it will take some more time.

Essentially, we may have to cancel our Apr/May WDW trip. It's a real shame too because all of you seem to be making plans for minimeets that I would love to attend. We'll give it until March before we make our decision as to whether or not we'll be able to do it. We are getting some tax money back, so we'll see what happens.

Deb, that's great news about the monthly money Ray will receive! That's going to be such a nice break for your budget. It stinks that you have to wait a few months, but at least you know it's coming.

I got out & headed to the library, only to find out that they closed at 4pm (I left the house at 515pm). What odd hours!

Stopped then at Publix for some clementines...yummy :)
Those are yummy! I have some here too! Tyler's grandpa from his dad's family sends them some every year from FL (he lives in Boca) and Tyler's dad always sends some with Tyler to our house too. I look forward to it every year. :goodvibes
