I read that to mean that you will take Molly for the summer. What time will you be at the airport to save her from the evil torments of the younger pesty brother...remember, she lowers the bread calorie count :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Well, as long as she wouldn't object to coming to the TV station and doing my filing for me. And I bet Cheri could put her to work helping out with drawer/closet purging and dog sitting (and it would be a nicer climate up there)!

...off to look at the photo essay.....

Ian:

Wilson and Molly are completely out of their minds because I keep telling them all of our cruiser OLD friends have Wii (& we don't)

Wilson says "Ian please send us a Wii, my mom is too mean to buy us one"

Molly says "It's no fair the DISers and everyone in my life has a Wii except for me"

Would anyone like to have Molly & Wilson to train them on your Wii for the summer???

::cop: Paul has been against the Wii since last Xmas. He doesn't want the kids on tv anymore than they allready are.

:stir: I'm with Ian I think it's better to watch and play than watch and sit and eat potatoe chips.

:wizard: We are getting a Wii this summer, just not sure when....it will be attached to some kind of reward for them. Now what do we want them to do all summer....I've got it!!!! NO FIGHTING!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm sort of with Paul, and sort of with you too.

I would think it's important to let kids play video games but limit their time on them, lest they not go outside at all. Still, it's better than just watching mindless TV, though I think parents usually limit kids' time doing that too? Don't they?

But then what do I know?

hmmmm, I'd lose my file clerk then. How did you know that they do my filing for my clients???? And no luck for Cheri, Molly would tell her ah, no that is a good box you should keep it just in case you need it someday. Molly a.k.a. packrat extrodinarie (sp)

Bubba's picky???

Don't set me off - it doesn't take much. When will it get better?

Well that didn't take long did it?:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It didn't take long at all.

It will never get better and yes Bubba is picky!

yes, of course we *try* to limit it, but frankly during the summer it's hard because both of us work, (in the office in the backyard) and since they are good kids most of the time we let them veg out because then we aren't being interruped.

I didn't see the offer to take them in your reply, I tell them that you are checking your calendar :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

DD starts her first theater camp this week. I'm so excited for her, they are doing the Little Mermaid.

Selling on Ebay all day today!!!
Wow, theater camp sounds cool! :goodvibes

Good luck with your Ebay sales!

You must have quite a garden!

Resistance is futile!!!! Bwahhh haaa haaaa!!:darth:

Do you think she meant "Tut"?:confused3

Kelly, I put some of my precious cardboard boxes in the recycling when I got home today. That may not sound like a big deal to you, but believe me, it's a big deal for me!:rotfl2: You're a good influence on me! Tomorrow I plan to clean out a couple of cupboards. I have one in my kitchen that has corningware stuff in it that I haven't touched in years! I hope I don't chicken out. Maybe when I see you in Sept. you can tell me about selling on eBay. ;)

I probably did mean that :lmao:

did the HM have tinker on the other side? I couldn't look closely, I was shopping under radar. I had Molly and Bailey with me.

Lisa, did you try them yet? I'm going to give one to Molly for her bday and want to make sure they are good before I wrap it. I guess I should just load it and find out.

I'm giving it as a gift, so didn't open to check them out. I think it has two separate frames in each. It looks pretty cool. I'm taping the gift receipt on the back and wrapping them up. And then putting them in a closet that I've yet to clean out.

I was in the mood for spring rolls yesterday so got them at Costco. Took out our deep fryer, and now have spend the past 24 hours trying to find the cord. :confused3 One day, I will be all organized. I have a feeling it will be when I'm leaving in a one room apartment in an old folks home and all my kids have taken all my valuables. I hope they will bring me spring rolls when they come visit.

I'll have to talk to you guys later. Jon needs the computer and I have some stuff to do.:wave2:

Well, alfalfa sprouts (not bean sprouts) ::yes:: Alfalfa on the sammie, bean in the wok. :thumbsup2 One of my favorite sandwiches is cotto salami, swiss cheese, alfalfa sprouts, with mayo on wheat bread....yummmmmm. Think I'll pick up those supplies at the grocery tonight.

.
:thumbsup2 Yup, you've got it!

Hmmm. Don't you have a list of chores for the children to do? How could they have any free time if they are busy doing chores. Idle hands are the devil's workshop, or so they say.

I would imagine that there must be some livestock to take to market? Wouldn't that keep Wilson busy? And Molly, she should be spending most of the day churning, spinning and then weaving cloth for woolen goods?

(I'll have to see if we have any openings in Camp Sukie).

Yikes! Is THAT what they're asking?!?!

(How goofy is it that I have to find out from someone in California what they're asking for the house across the street!)

Home Sweet Home, A Tour of Lincoln Square

OK, so I had too much time on my hands this weekend. Yesterday I went out and did a photo tour of our neighborhood, Lincoln Square.

As I have said before, I have come to realize that we live in a much more urban area that others here on the board (you probably can't get much more urban).

So, camera in hand, I set out to do a "photo essay."

It was actually quite an interesting exercise, since I tend not to notice much around here. It caused me to look at where we live with fresh eyes.

I had to walk huge distances for this photo essay.

The photographs were all taken in about a 3 block stretch from our house --- I walked all of 1 block south of our house and then 3 blocks north of our house, however, who am I to complain?

We live in Lincoln Square, which is an old German Neighborhood (http://lincolnsquare.org/document/guide_history.php).

So, without further ado, here is a link to the photo tour, I was even particularly industrious and wrote captions for all of the photos:

NEVER MOVE OUT OF THAT NEIGHBORHOOD!!!!!!
Do they have a soft serve ice cream place??? I could stay there if they had chocolate sprinkles... ;)

I was going to look it up... but Nan beat me to it...

And they don't even have the El in the back yard... should ask for more with transportation nearby... :rotfl:
