Looking forward to seeing your pictures! Maybe we should all take turns doing something similar. Neighborhood pics and pics of the places we frequent. Might be a fun way to get to know each other even more.Well, I'm subscribing.
I just finished 1.5 on the Wii Fit and am now going to head out to do my photo essay on the neighbourhood.
(I also need to get out of the house because Sukie is in a rather cranky mood).
Yea..I was suprised at how much I liked it..you should rent the other boleyn girl..that was good too. I tried to get fools gold this weekend..i could use a little matthew..but it was out.Just finished watching "Jumper" and it was so good, I can't wait for the 2nd and 3rd ones to come out!I usually fast-forward while watching movies, skipping past any slow parts, but didn't need to do that at all on this movie.

hi all....Camp Rock is on again, well, we taped it last night.
I'm VERY impressed with your record keeping! So you were in Pima. I've never been there. I have been to Tombstone, Bisbee and a place called El Frida, but haven't been to the SE of AZ much, although it is very pretty. The North Rim is really beautiful, too. I've only been there once; it's not as accessible as the South Rim.
You really did some power-driving. You made it from the North Rim back to Canada in one day? How on earth did you do that? Was that a typo?
What year was your trip? You put 2008, but I'm sure that was a typo.
I got my new lens yesterday! It was really late last night by the time I unpacked it and got it on the camera. I'm going to take the dog out for a walk in a minute, so I think I'll take the camera and play around with it.
Well next time we are thinking about heading to Vancouver we will just have to reconsider and think about going "just a little further". I do know that since some (I think one was you) people were talking about the Great Wolf Lodge, we have looked into that as a possibility and it has intrigued us as a nice little "jaunt". The airport in Prince George (an hour north of me) has direct flights on Horizon Air to Seattle so that may make it easier than killing two full days just driving there and back. But the drive to Vancouver isn't that bad. We used to go to football games (CFL) there on a regular basis so we would make the trek about 5 or 6 times a year. My father actually has a condo in Richmond (suburb of Vancouver), so it is even cheap for us to stay there!

We left Kamloops, BC on Sept 5th and were back there on Sept 27th. And as you noted, that was a typo as this was 1997 when we did this trip.
Oh yeah, and while we were in WDW I proposed to Shannon. But that is a whole other story ...
Maybe I'll get both of those later in the week.Yea..I was suprised at how much I liked it..you should rent the other boleyn girl..that was good too. I tried to get fools gold this weekend..i could use a little matthew..but it was out.
I have heard great things about the lodge. We are going on July 31st if you are interestedBut, I have heard it is expensive for food and such, so bring some of your own with you or plan on running out. Every room has microwaves and fridges....we are eating dinner on our way down and bringing breakfast stuff since that is easy and we'll figure out lunch.
Personally, I LOVE Vancouver. We used to go there a bunch when Jaide was younger, but poor Taylor has never been. I love to hang out at Granville Island in the summer and just wander and be at that water park area. Also, the science museum and aquarium are both great. We have a timeshare in downtown, across the bridge from the Island. We could meet up there sometime too!
Wow, Ken! That's definitely a major trip! Something I've always wanted to do......drive all over to see major stuff. What wonderful memories you both surely have from that trip.I don't think we were actually IN Pima. We went to the Pima Air Museum which is probably a little closer to Tucson (at least all the brochures I have in my photoalbum have the address as being Tucson).
We don't talk much about the Grand Canyon and our trip there in this house as it is a sore spot with me. When we went we got the pay station where they had a sign up saying "Some fog. Limited visibility". The Ranger didn't say anything to us about it we just said we were from Canada coming to take a look at the Canyon. We paid our money to get in the park and drove up to the visitor's centre. We got there and the Canyon was fogged in! You couldn't see 3 feet in front of you, let alone the canyon. I will have to scan in the pic of the canyon as we saw it. There was nothing to see!! What a collossal waste of time and money! I was ticked right off the entire time we were there. Would have been nice if the ranger had told us BEFORE we paid there was nothing to see!
Yes we did some power driving on that trip. We drove from Kamloops, BC to WDW and came back along the southern end of the US. We saw lots like Little Bighorn, going through the Black Hills of South Dakota and Deadwood, Mt Rushmore and Mt. Crazy Horse. Went the through the middle of the country going to places like Kansas city, St. Louis to stop and look at the arch, drove across the Mississippi, went to Graceland in Memphis and stopped at the Country Music hall of fame in Nashville. We stopped and looked at the Chattanooga choo choo. We got chased out of a rest area one night near Atlanta so we raced through Georgia and went straight into Florida. Spent some time in Daytona on the beach (loved that place). Went to the Kennedy Space Centre (we had tickets to watch a shuttle launch (but it got delayed to when we weren't going to be there), went to Seaworld. We then spent 6 nights in WDW before heading back. Went over to New Orleansand spent some time walking around the French quarter then on to Texas where we saw the Alamo in San Antonio and did the beautiful River walk there. Then as I mentioned in the earlier post, we went up to Roswell and over Tombstone, Pima Air Museum, through Tucson and up to Las Vegas where we spent a couple of days before heading up through Utah and back into Canada.

YIKES! So I probably shouldn't tell you I'm chilly and about to change from shorts to jeans. I wish I could send some cool temps your way!OH and btw...it's 93 degrees at 10am! I love the heat, but not like this! We aren't going to our friends pool until 3pm...it's seems like a LONG TIME from now.
I don't know how the desert and arizona people do this!
