We are talking about going to Get Smart later this afternoon. I wish the boys were home to see it, but they are RACING

Wilson started his heat 4th and finished 5th. Next is the main race...fingers crossed.

He has a chance of stepping up in over all as he did better this race than the 3rd & 4th overall kids Also the little girl from Las Vegas that is in 1st overall is getting some competition from a boy from Los Angeles. Seems that now school is out it might be a different story, more kids come from further away to race...it's getting good....

Santa Maria, Grand Nationals is making me giddy with anticipation.

Gaylean, I don't think I ever got back to you on those dates...it's the last week of July. We are going to try to spend the week near Santa Maria, I think Wilson's race is Wednesday of that week (7/31 I think) Do you think you guys will be around? And is that too far to come up and play? Bubba and V are planning on being around too.

We don't really. The areas that have been on fire are in the mountains that are south of us. Paul's parents live in Los Gatos, our side of the Santa Cruz mountains, they are in a place that could be affected by a fire. Since they can spread so fast. My sister-in-law also lives in the mountains and we worry for her of course. But the beauty of being in these areas I guess makes it worth it. We'd move into Paul's parents house in a heart beat. Not a great house, but it's on 2 acres of land that is totally unaffordable for us in our lifetime with Ca real estate prices.

btw, the girls are on the 3rd pitcher now.

Mom has worked her way out of the walk in closet and is currently "Joaning" her way through the living room after I chisled the dust out of the vacuum filter...

Lemonade girls

Bad/Good news is Wilson finshed 6th, but it was ahead of one person that was ahead of him in the overall and behind another so perhaps he is still 5th overall. We'll have to see how it falls out in the points. The girl leader finished 3rd or 4th, so a bit of a shake up for the kid karts today. Glad he is done with his race, they always make me so nervous.....Paul also said big lightening out in the central valley. Glad they are coming home.

p.s. see the go kart trailer in the background???? That was Paul's father's day gift to himself. They didn't need to take it today since just the 2 of them travelled but for the longer trips, Reno, Santa Maria we will haul the kart in that and have the pickup for our suitcases.

I am get fedup now with horrible weather.

I took kids out today to deaf children society and I was voluntee with deaf children today. We had so much fun and I had been in drama with my childrens what a laugh.

I drove home as it take me 1 hours 30 mins with headache, i see flashing lighting, when I got home, I straight took the tablets. thank god tablets was working.

So tonight it was relax with family, and I had glasses of wines.

Outside, it is heavy raining

feeling like wish go back on cruise

That day in the pool at PV was GREAT!!!! I was so glad that Molly, Wilson and Keith and Olivia got to play together like that. It will be one of my best memories.

Thanks for the kind words for Wil. I think that he will be fine. Paul is sad. He just wishes Wil could win. I have to keep reminding him IKF is really tough. It's the top kids in CA, so no harm in 6th place as long as Wilson has fun and is safe we're all good

I'm going to head to Target to see those photo frames and get the girls some icees. They have to spend their earnings ya know

Lisa, Every June I take 2 weeks and go through every cupboard, drawer,closets and pull it all out to give away or sell before any other summer projects or work happen. It really feels like I can find myself instead of feeling like I'm in a cloud. Tell them it will make you feel clear headed for work and make you a more productive person for them instead of worrying about your homelife.

Kelly, you may have motivated me to clean out a closet or two...maybe...

BTW, our weather is freaking out. There was just a weather notice that bad thunder & lightening storms are headed this way. It's EARTHQUAKE weather here today...muggy, not nearly as hot as it was, only 97 now

We saw the Mississippi at a campground we have stayed at. HIGH WATER!! Playground and campsites under water !

We are watching the Cardinals--Red Sox game. We'll head over to the reunion dinner after a while. There is a picnic tomorrow and then we head home, trying to get there in time for a picnic on the reconstructed roof-top deck to celebrate its completion and be a meet your neighbors event.
