Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has had or looked into having a catered dinner for a special family event in a unit at Wyndham Bonnet Creek?

We are looking at booking a 4 bedroom unit so that we could have a dinner catered by an off-site company, not Wyndham, but have enough space that we could mingle and talk before and after dinner.

Everything would be wrapped up by 10pm with a very low noise level.

Does anybody have any experience with hosting a dinner? Will Wyndham allow caterers into the resort? Any help would by appreciated.

TIA

I suggest ... call WBC and maybe direct the call to the WBC concierge ... (407) 238-3500

You will have plenty of room in the unit to socialize. They allow pizza delivery on site, can't imagine there would be restrictions on caterers. Have fun.

How many persons?

No experience with a 4 bedroom Presidential at WBC, but we did reserve a 4 bedroom Presidential at another Wyndham resort for Christmas dinner (spent two nights there). It was plenty large enough for our crew (we had seven). My mother-in-law bought a ham, and the kitchen was big enough to cook a good Christmas dinner. My two adult daughters surprised us by buying a nice, artificial Christmas tree at the Dollar store down the highway. It was a really nice Christmas.

I think the dining room table sat 8 or 10. The maximum number of guests allowed to sleep overnight I think was 12. I'm assuming you won't have that problem.

The living area is nice and pretty big. But I don't think it would be overly big. And if you were going to use the bedrooms for additional space, you wouldn't have too much space since there are beds in there.

You can have a nice reception there for up to maybe about 12-15 persons. The kitchen is big enough for that. There are place settings, silverware and glasses for up to 12. Any more than 12, and you have to supply additional settings. Any more than 15, and it could be a tight squeeze.

Good luck.

Thanks for all responses!

We were looking at around 18 for dinner, some of the kids would probably eat on the patio or at the coffee table, no big deal there.

We will have multiple units so getting other place settings wouldn't be an issue.

I'll call tomorrow and let you all know what I find out.

Thanks again!

Sounds like an awesome idea! Let us all know how it goes.

Hello Everyone,

We contacted WBC via the number above.

They lady on the phone said, "That's sounds lovely, what a great idea. I don't know how we'd even know that the caterers were here. Have fun!"

So we are going for it, I'll let you all know who we use, and how the dinner turned out.

Thanks for the help.

Hello again,

Just an update, we had our stay in a 4 bedroom and our event catered by Puff and Stuff catering out of Orlando. The food and staff were great and our family and friends loved everything.

Any questions, ask away!

I have seen something similar with more people. There was a function going on in the room next door to us once, only a 2 bedroom. I assumed it was a company rather than a family. I was over early and no trouble atall. I remember it because all the ladies were dressed so nicely for the evening. I try to dress up for dinner but sometimes we are so tired we just go our in what we wore in the parks which is very lazy:rotfl2:

So I wouldn't think it would be a problem atall.
