I am looking for comfortable water shoes my family can wear in the parks if it is raining during our vacation. I researched alot of brands but I am receiveing conflicting advice so I decided to turn to the DIS. Anyone have any ideas?
Thank You

We all wore Keens during a tropical storm at WDW last year and had no problems. Three of the four of us got new ones for this summer (I wasn't hard enough on mine, I guess, they are still in good shape--DH wore his all year round and the boys outgrew theirs).

My DH and DD wore crocs on our last trip and DD had no issues; however DH ended up getting blister (it rained two days pretty steadily). DH is dead set on Keens this year as some of the styles are a cross between a sandal/tennis shoe and fast drying. I think that I'm going to invest in getting DD a pair of Keens this year too and then she can rotate between those and her crocs. Personally, I can't wear crocs without socks as the friction causes blistering for me...but they are comfortable up to that point. I did a cross between tennis shoes and Nike memory foam flip flops last time and neither was that great. I hate wearing socks in the hot weather, but flip flops don't offer enough support for me when we go all day in the parks. I've bought a couple pair of Skecher Go Walk's and I can wear them with or without socks with no problems. They offer enough support for me and since I don't have a high arch, they are really comfortable. They have a sweat guard on the inside which helps with sweating and they are a mesh like material which is great for fast drying. I've bought two pair over the last year and I have no complaints. I plan on buying another pair soon to break in for the trip and then use a pair that I already have as a back-up ;) I don't think that there is one pair of shoes that is perfect for everyone. I've seen many complain about the Go Walks, Crocs, etc., so I really think you just have to find what works for you, break them in and go with it. I find regular tennis shoes miserable on water rides and in the rain so I would definitely look for a shoe with a mesh design or something that has some type of design on the inside to prevent rubbing...but that is my opinion. Just remember, you get that you pa for, so regardless of what you decide what is best for your family, please don't cut costs on one of the most important things for a Disney trip.....good walking/park shoes. Not saying that you would....but you live and learn lol ;)
