My favorite scene is when Shelby is dying and her mom is holding her hand. Her dad can't watch and M'Lynn remarks "I was there when she came into the world and I'll be there when she leaves" (paraphrase--I'm always crying so much I can't exactly hear the words.)

Love this movie and I cry each time I watch it.

One of my favorite lines is when they are at the cemetary and Sally Fields character says she is so angry she just wants to hit someone and Olympia Dukakis pulls Shirley McLaine and tells Sally Field to hit her.

A few years ago at work I was so mad about something that I told my friend at work that I felt like that line in Steel Magnolias.

I love that movie.

That is my all time favorite quote. I use it often. I also like you are to twisted for color tv.

I love this movie. It is my favorite. I can recite the entire movie word for word almost.

Every single line in that movie is classic...I can recite the whole thing. Isn't that sad?

Also, that movie was singlehandedly responsible for most of the five hundred million children under the age of 10 named Jackson nowadays. I swear, there are at least three in every class!

I don't really have any favorites.

The night before I went into the hosp to have my dd(1997) some station played that movie back to back over and over and over again. I watched it I think 10 times that day/night and I boo hoo cried each and every time!!!! This movie along with Terms of Endearment I can watch unlimited times and STILL cry as if it was the very first time I ever saw it!!

When I met my DH some years back, we watched that movie together. When it was over I told him that I was like Shelby! I told him that I was a Juvnille Diabetic. I have been blessed with a wonderful supportive husband! He has seen me through so much with this terrible disease. Like Shelby I was facing death! I Thank God and my Donor for my Pancreas Transplant. I just love and adore this movie!

One of my favorites is when Clairee and Ouisa are in the football players' dressing room. Ouisa is sitting there "fixing her hair" in the mirror, and Clairee starts broadcasting about their new uniforms..."would you call that grape our aubergene (sp?)" Ouisa retorts something about the listeners want to hear about the scores and ends with "they don't give a **** about that grape ****."

Don't have a favorite quote but watched the end and cried through it on lunch hour at a conference today. Good tear jerker movie! Thankfully I was alone in hotel room.
