Watch your JetBlue flights! 5 months out and already a schedule change!

You are likely to see a few more sch changes - just hope they don’t get rid of the flight
Yeah. If they change it again, I'm going to fight to get my money back at this point and drive. I've been sitting on this credit for years. They've messed with two trips that were cancelled. I'm just done!

I'm out of Richmond. ONE direct flight a day. It was AM, now it's PM. My options are Richmond to Fort Lauderdale (one flight) or Richmond to Boston...multiple flights. Which is ridiculous to fly North to go South. I don't want to do a layover! One more change and I'm cancelling, demanding my $$ back since they've had it since 2019 for a 2020 trip that was Covid cancelled. I'll just suck it up and drive!
Last year my return flight to Richmond from MCO was changed from non stop to a layover in Boston. I just cancelled it.

My outbound December flight from SYR to MCO was changed from a nonstop to a 1-stop flight. For a trip this short, I'm not willing to change planes. Fortunately they have a nonstop flight in the evening--well, as of right now they have it--so I switched to that the day before and booked a night at the airport Hyatt.

But if they change that flight to a 1-stop or cancel it, then I don't know what I'm going to do. I really don't want to spend basically all day going to a destination that's only 2.5 hours away.

That's my fear. I am not flying right by RIC to go to Boston to come home! That's what happened to our May trip to California. Had a GREAT nonstop flight to Cali out of RIC that had us in LA by 11AM their time. When they dropped the nonstop, I was going to fly to Boston to sit for 6 hours. NO THANKS! One more change, even if it's not bad, I'll cancel and we'll drive. We have the time when we go in December, and I'll be less stressed about it all!

EXACTLY It's such a quick flight from where I am. I'm not wasting time with a layover! I'd rather suck it up and drive!

I did the same thing and moved this flight to a day before, Sunday evening, but an evening flight makes me nervous. There is NOTHING after it. I booked at the Hyatt at MCO too. We'll see what happens!

My plan B, in case my new flight is also rescheduled to a 1-stop, is to plead with my DH to drive me to one of the NYC airports. They're all a 4- or 5-hour drive from home, but I'd rather spend the time in the car with him than at the airport waiting for a flight. Especially EWR, which is no fun at all.

We're flying MCO-MIA-Belize on Friday, and flying back on the 28th. You bet I'm checking the flights twice a day this close; I've been checking every 2-3 days up until now. /crosses fingers that American stays on course...

Jet Blue has changed our October flight from BOS to MCO twice now. First change was painless from 11:30AM to 11:45AM. The second change was painful though, 11:45AM to 2:00PM. Not happy about that change but the only nonstop before that is at 6:00AM and not doing that with 10 people of which 4 are children ages 5,3,3 and 2!! There is also a nonstop scheduled at 2:09 which puzzles me.
So another change last night from JB. Moved our 2:00 flight to 3:15 so had to call and change it to the 2:09 flight that was puzzling me being so close to the 2:00 flight!! Took an hour to get all 10 seats together. Anymore changes and I’m switching to Delta!

UGH! Not too much of a shift, but still quite annoying!!!!

Ugh! Got an email from JetBlue last night that our flights had changed, and NOT for the better! And we are not flying until mid-December!!!! I had to shuffle and add an extra night (which I know most people would love, but I don't have the time in the schedule for it. Not to mention the added hotel cost).

I cannot WAIT until I have this credit I've been sitting on since 2020 used up! This is trip #3 we have tried to take. The first two they messed with so much, we had no choice but to cancel. I doubt we'll ever fly again! Not worth the hassle! Used to love JetBlue!
TAMPA AIRPORT ALTERNATIVE:

If you are renting a car, you may want to check JET Blue to see if you can fly to Tampa. We often fly into Tampa airport to Disney if the fares are cheaper and flight times are more convenient. Sometimes our check in and check out days are more enjoyable with the extra time and savings by using Tampa airport. Also, you can also just change your flight to fly into Tampa and fly out of Orlando. Sometimes there is a surcharge for the car rental but with the charge, it still could be cheaper than renting the entire time with the Orlando airport car rental (every airport car rental has different rates based on supply and demand).

Please keep in mind that JET BLUE and other airlines are sometimes changing the times by 5 to 30 minutes based on the Air Traffic Control Tower take off and landing times which the airlines don't control. They also may change because of a connecting flight is going to your airport with a lot of passengers connecting to Orlando, so they change the time of your flight.

brilliant idea! I haven't spent enough to get to mosaic yet but i usually get one way of our trip on points and the free bags at least!
I am mosaic too and never thought to book cheaper and do same day changes. It’s a risk. What if other flight is packed?

I do it all the time too. Out of BOS there are so many flights so it isn't an issue. I would be concerned if they only had a few flights out of a particular city. I also keep checking how many available seats are left on the flight I want. If there is a lot then I don't worry.

I've been stalking our flight home for weeks to move from the 6:30am to the 10:05am flight. Even if I get stuck with the 8:15am, it's better than 6:30am.

Delta has changed both legs of our Boston to Miami flight for a cruise. Going down it was actually a better time and it only changed once. Coming back has now changed three times, and gets us home about 3 hours later than the original flight, but it's still the best option so we'll live with it.

I’m mosaic and do day before or same day changes when it’s just me and my wife. However, this trip there are 10 of us (four children) so we‘d all like to be seated near each other and on a non-stop. On top of that JB drastically cut back the non-stops out of Boston the day we fly out 10/15. There is only a 6:00am, 2:09, 3:15 and I think a 4:00. Our original flight was at 11:30.

It’s so dumb that the don’t have anything mid morning.

This is what I'm not understanding. I'm out of Richmond. Our flight went from a non stop flight leaving around 8:30 AM to a nonstop not leaving until 5:00 PM. Yet there are 3 or 4 other options, but they all connect through Boston. Why in the heck would I go north to sit for a while to then fly right back past my house to go South. It makes NO sense. We bumped back to the 5 PM flight a day before our trip, but I'm not happy about it because if that flight doesn't take off, I'm screwed because there is nothing later.

It was the same thing back in May when I had a GREAT nonstop to California. That got canceled and my only option was again, fly to Boston to sit for 5 hours before my connection. NOPE!

We fly in October. We had our original plans and then two emails with changes. Hoping no more. We are also using credit from 2020.

We are getting in later and later in the day. We usually book and had booked very early. The early flights don't show up anymore. I wonder if they are scratched off or they sell out those flights and bump people into other flights.......They keep changing and we will be driving down.

It really is!!!! Our original flight at 11:30 was perfect for us. If I remember correctly there were also two earlier flights besides the 6:00AM one.

I looked and there's six flights that day, but nothing between 6am and 2pm? How convenient? :rotfl:

And just received another email with flight changes. Time did not change much. But third email now.
